I recently held my wedding at the CocoPlum (May 2, 2015) and cannot say enough wonderful things about the venue or the staff. I visited other wedding venues from West Palm Beach all the way to Key Largo. I had a list of things that I envisioned for my wedding and needed a place to accommodate them. 1) Private venue- As much as I love hotels, I wanted to be the only bride on my wedding day. 2) Space- I didn't want my guests confined to one room the entire night. The CocoPlum offered a huge room at the entry, a huge courtyard area and the main ballroom. 3) Service- Being in the service industry most of my life, I wanted to make sure that the staff was professional and polite. I have to tell you, the CocoPlum far exceeded any expectations I had. They waited on my guests, hand and foot. The management staff was accessible for the entire year leading up to the wedding and the night of the wedding. 4) Food-The Chef at the CocoPlum is amazing. I served beef, chicken and fish for my guests. I am still getting calls from my guests telling me how amazing the food was. And to be honest, my husband's family has worked/owned restaurants in the South Florida area for many years. These were hard critics to impress and believe me, the CocoPlum did it! 5) Character- The Cocoplum's architecture is great; there aren't too many buildings in the South Florida area that offer the details that are found there. The main room has the most amazing ceiling I've ever seen, with the decorations, it looked like something out of a magazine. 6) Handicap Accessible/Parking- I wanted a venue that could accommodate our grandparents. This venue offered parking and access for a wheelchair. We did not want valet service for our guests because we didn't want them to incur a charge and we knew some of our guests would not want to valet their cars. 7) Late Hours- The CocoPlum will extend the party if it is still going, I didn't want to be restricted to a venue that had everyone leave at a certain time.8) Vendors- The staff at the CocoPlum has screened vendors and includes them in a package (you are not obligated to go with these vendors; however, once you meet them, you probably will). The photographer is amazing!!! He was with me before my ceremony, during the ceremony and at the reception. He really knew how to connect with me, my husband and our guests so it felt like he was part of the wedding party, not a vendor. The florist...honestly, I cannot say enough about her. The day of the wedding, there was a mix up (completely my fault) about the wedding topper. The staff at the CocoPlum called her (even though she had nothing to do with the cake) before the guests entered the main room. Within minutes, she arrived at the venue, with a wedding topper made of natural roses. I had not cried on my wedding day up until that point. But when I saw the level of caring and of service by the CocoPlum staff along with the florist, I just broke down. It was honestly something so small but it made the world of difference to me on that special day, I will always be grateful for their quick thinking and their need to exceed expectations. The DJ was also great, he played great music, he kept the crowd hyped up and everyone had a great time. Last but not least, I have to give kudos to "Luis" the bartender. He is part of the staff at the CocoPlum and he wasn't really mentioned in the package. However, he was a hit with the guests. Over the course of the night, guests would come up to me and tell me that "Luis made them special drinks." And "Luis is a great guy!" it took me a while to realize who Luis was so I had to personally go out and see who he was. Sure enough, he was at the bar with a big smile on his face. 9) Decoration/Linens- Most of the places I went to only offered white or off white linens for their tables. The CocoPlum offers additional colors that really make the difference on the wedding day. There are also 3 large chandeliers in the large room, these make a world of difference because they add character to the décor. 10) Flexibility- I really wanted to add my own decorations to the venue, they allowed me to bring them in and offered to set them up for me, I declined because I wanted to do it myself. The point was, other venues would not allow me to bring in certain items and if I did, they charged me for it. I hope this gives any bride/groom ideas for their wedding day. If you are in the market for a wedding venue, the Cocoplum is worth stopping by and looking at. Their grounds are immaculate, their building is well maintained and their A/C's work just fine. I'm not a big yelper, but for the CocoPlum, I thought it was worth sitting down and writing about their services. They made the most important day of life go off without a hitch. If you want a historic site with medieval architecture, located in the center of Miami, with a flexible estimate according to your budget, this is the place. Any venue will offer what you pay for, but there is one thing of utmost importance when celebrating an event; having a team that works professionally and that goes the extra mile to please your expectations, making it an exceptional and unforgettable day to remember. Starting from Maritza who attended the coffee station, to Patricia, who catered to all our wishes, and Miguel, who provides great customer service and is always with a smile to answer any question, Martha who creates magnificent floral decor, Fabiano an enthusiastic and talented photographer, and finally Rosie and Fernando, THE BACKBONE OF THIS CLUB. It is my opinion, that is due to their hard work and commitment to this venue, that The Cocoplum's Woman's Club has achieved tremendous recognition and is expanding its growth in the social media. Rosie is the Event Coordinator, and she knows how to meet and exceed the expectations of each customer, and Fernando, who is the Master Chef, not only prepares delicious meals, but he is like an octopus with 8 hands, working and trying to resolve so many things in that one place. It's been a long time since I have experienced the customer service provided, which is rarely found this day. Please note that I did not know of this place, nor did I know these people prior to booking my daughter's wedding, but as the day approached, I realized I had chosen the perfect venue, The Cocoplum Woman's Club. Five Stars are not enough to rate how wonderful this venue is and how incredible the staff is. My daughter got married a few days ago and everything was absolutely perfect - in large part because of the venue we chose for the reception...The Coco Plum. The venue is historic, making it beautiful and very cozy. We had considered a hotel but when we went to The Coco Plum there was no hotel that could possibly offer the vibe that Coco Plum offers. In addition, the staff is incredible starting with the Senior Event Coordinator, Rosie Hayden. Rosie is loving, understanding, full of great ideas, and most importantly always aims to please the bride. She understood our vision and executed it to perfection. The food was absolutely delicious. The appetizers tasted fresh and just-made and the food arrived at the tables warm. The Chef not only provided a tasty meal but was also extremely nice. As the mother of the bride, I was running around and did not get a chance to try the hors d'oeuvres during the cocktail hour and when he found out he went and made me some. They were as delicious as the guests had told me. Rosie's assistant, Miguel, is as wonderful as Rosie. The bartenders were efficient and extremely nice. I could go on forever! read more

Rosie was our primary point of contact from the first day to the event day, which made it simple and easy to communicate. The venue is spectacular. We accepted the opportunity to use each space that truly met every need. The photographer took pictures indoors and outside prior to the ceremony. The ceremony took place on the beautiful courtyard just before sunset. This space was seemlessly transitioned to the cocktail space. The hors d'eouvres were delightful. The ballroom was spectacular. The dinner was delicious. The food and beverage service was excellent. The wedding packages are reasonably priced and you will be amazed at the quality and variety of options available with the table settings. Selecting the Coco Plum Woman's Club as our wedding venue was an excellent decision. From our initial meeting, our event coordinator, Rosie Hayden, was wonderful. She is very knowledgeable and patient. She is always prepared and guided me through the entire planning process. She followed up with me and ensured I had all preparations ready. I felt I was in excellent hands every step of the way. Their chef Fernando, is a phenomenal cook. Our food tasting was magnificent and I enjoyed every dish he prepared for us. The staff is outstanding. They are all so courteous and eager to assist. Patricia, in particular, was an angel on the wedding day. She checked in on me and ensured I had plenty to eat and drink throughout the day and well into the night. Miguel, was also of exceptional help. He was helpful and patient during our preparatory meetings and on the wedding day. Every single member of the Coco Plum team is outstanding. The venue is beautiful. We had our ceremony in the courtyard and it was perfect. I love that the venue only hosts one wedding at a time which made it all the more intimate for us and our friends and family. I attended a wedding event at The CocoPlum and the experience was excellent. The venue, with its historic and elegant charm, served as the perfect setting to meet vendors and enjoy a comprehensive showcase of what a celebration there can offer. Among the appetizers that impressed me the most were razor clams with Mexican seasoning, shrimp and avocado tostones, bruschettas with cheese and honey, and the delicious numpias. The sweet section was equally outstanding: pastry chefs Marian, Catalina, and Beatriz Otero shone with their macarons, tres leches, and pavlova. Special mention goes to the cannoli covered in pistachio and Nutella, served with great kindness, and the creamy crepes that were the perfect finishing touch. To refresh, there were also prosecco, wines, and sangrias, which complemented the experience wonderfully. Before being a bride, I had been a bridesmaid more than 7 times and I have seen various types of wedding venues/wedding planning. My husband and I chose Coco Plum because of their beautiful, romantic environment and because they are prepared to supply all vendor needs. This made planning so much easier for us instead of hiring outside vendors. The vendors know the owners of the Coco Plum very well and it made communication efficient. Throughout our reception many guest came up to us and said it was the most beautiful wedding they had every been to! The courtyard is a dream at night and the ballroom is a perfect balance between large/small so guests feel the wedding is more intimate. Not to mention the food is delicious! Most importantly Rosie and Guilherme were there for my husband and I the whole night, catering to us and making sure all was on track with the schedule. I would highly recommend the Coco Plum! When looking for a location to host our wedding this was the first and only location we visited. The venue is gorgeous and perfectly set up for wedding. What sold us on the coco plum was the beautiful courtyard, reception area, and expertise of Rosie & her team. We felt comfortable with them because have done so many weddings and seen it all. Their list of vendors is fabulous and we went with the recommended DJ, flowers, cake and their catering. All went above and beyond to ensure our day went smoothly. I was worried about rain and the heat and they provided tent vendor options / fan recommendations. I was concerned about the bar and personal wine selections being served and the bar service went smoothly. From the beginning I felt in good hands working with The Coco Plum. Not only is the property absolutely beautiful, but the support also which I received from Rosie was invaluable. She was the best part of planning the wedding: a serious professional with quick response time and invaluable feedback on any wedding matters. The food was wonderful as well and beautifully presented. We used all the vendors offered in the package and were very satisfied. The DJ music was a priority for us, and he did a fantastic job. He had the place dancing thru the whole wedding. We did an upgrade with the flower arrangement to meet our requirements and the florist met our needs to perfection. The venue is beautiful, had my daughter's wedding ceremony in the courtyard and the reception in the big hall. The food and service was outstanding. Had guests make comments to us after the wedding on how nice everything was. Rosie and her team (Miguel, Katherine) are the best, always there to answer all my questions/concerns. Rosie is basically your personal wedding planner she is a lovely, classy lady always ready to answer any of my questions and provide me with recommendations and ideas. What can I say besides PERFECT?! The Cocoplum gave my husband and I our dream wedding, and their commitment to their clients makes you feel not only like you're the only couple in the world, but family. We had a bump in the road with the first hurricane to hit Florida in November in almost 40 years, and they helped us come up with a solution for our outdoor ceremony that was gorgeous. They work with amazing vendors, the food and space is wonderful, and the vibe is pure magic. Again and again, I'll wholeheartedly reccomend them to any engaged couple. Rosie and her team went above and beyond for my now hubby and I. We got married at the Cocoplum on 10/14/2023 and it was everything we could've wanted and more. They were super available to us with any questions we had 24/7 and being an out of state couple, this was extremely helpful. Their preferred vendors were amazing and it made the planning process easier since we didn't have to book with a bunch of different vendors. We had our wedding at Coco Plum and haven't stopped receiving compliments on our event. Rosie was there every step of the way, even when 1 year of wedding planning turned into 3 years with covid delays. We had the most amazing time, and it was so stress free as they provided everything we could possibly need.
