Although with most of its original interior in tow it seems, this pub is a great place to go for Sunday lunch. Their carvery is the nicest I've ever had! You get a massive plate, piled tremendously high, for about a tenner; complete with all the usual bits, ham & turkery, mash, and veg - but you can choose the portions yourself. And they usually have curry, chips, and other alternatives if you're not into the carvery meal. It's very cozy and a great place to watch a match. There is a beer garden with picnic benches, and plenty of surrounding parking space. The airport is only 2 minutes up the road, so it's a handy place to go for a meal after checking in your bags before a flight. There's also a bank about 100 feet away from the entrance in case you need to grab extra cash!! One of my most cherished memories in this place was celebrating a friends birthday a couple of years back - actually my first impression of the joint. The extremely welcoming bartenders set a section for us all to sit near the fire and stay for the night. We had a sing-along; guitars and all, which some staff actually joined in on, and it had a warming Irish feel to it all. I absolutely loved it! It doesn't have a late license, which can be somewhat of a let down when you're just getting set to stay for the night! All in all, it's a fantastic pub to go to anytime for any age. read more
