I asked them sew a similar fabric on the UNDERSIDE to reinforce it and keep it from ripping more. Didn't need to be perfect, I knew the tear itself could not be sewn together but patching and stitching the underside could mitigate the damage. I came to pick it up and BOTH SIDES were covered in a fabric patch that's not even a close match! I was told that there wasn't a way to reinforce it from the underside so they just did both. Even if that were true (it's not), why did no one call me FIRST and tell me the work I requested and paid for wasn't possible? This is a very basic ask of a professional tailor, it's unbelievable they got it so wrong! This patch is so much worse than the original tear. I reached out twice to address the issue - once by email and once with a written letter - but never received any response or acknowledgment. The customer service around this unfortunate event was awful. For the first 3-4 weeks, they said that they were going through factory and trying to identify clothing that survived the fire which was totally understandable. When they could not find our clothes, they asked for the value of our loss. This information was promptly provided. That was 3 months ago, and we have heard nothing since then. They no longer respond to my calls or emails. We will no longer be using this dry cleaner. There is not much of a selection of dry cleaners on Hilton Head, but so far, Door to Door has been fine. It is very convenient, but a bit pricy. But we will never go back to Waters based on how they responded to this unfortunate fire.

I had planned to leave for a funeral in MIAMI once I retrieved my black dress from them. I get a call at 10:00 AM on Thursday, July 6, 2017 saying my dress wasn't ready. This was clearly a breach not only of an oral contract but a written one as well, because she documented that my dress would be returned to me by Thursday, July 6, 2017 at noon. Because they failed to complete their end of the contract, I now must go and purchase another dress. I don't know about you, but I don't have cash to be throwing around for dresses because a BUSINESS failed to come through. When I said I won't be paying full price because you all failed to complete your end of the deal, she said "I can't do that". So now, I have to purchase a dress and also pay her. If she is hurting that badly for business, then I will throw her her little $15 dollar fee for my late dress, that I will have to retrieve upon my return to Pooler. So unprofessional.
