Anyways. So I was in a pickle and had to get 5 USAF BHG uniforms done for a parade within like 3 days. These uniforms used to take the alterations shop on base about 2 weeks to do from scratch. I sent the specs over to Chrissy along with one of my older uniforms and with a few looks she had it. she knocked out five fully dressed USAF BHG uniforms from nothing to something in 3 days. that include hems, tapers, sew in creases, piping , ranks, waists. no easy task when you virtually have to take the pants apart to do it and then sew them back together again. the prices are more than fair especially if you look at the alternatives on base. she is a master of the trade. Need custom pillows made?she can do it ( I walked in and saw her doing it), need drapes? she can handle that too? need a dress done? bring it in. BY THE WAY-- Name tapes can be done here! why pay the Exchange and have to wait weeks when she can have them done for less and in no time flat. Name tape machine on site! To be a one person shop and provide the service that she does and in the timely manner that she does it makes this shop pretty dang good!

I asked them sew a similar fabric on the UNDERSIDE to reinforce it and keep it from ripping more. Didn't need to be perfect, I knew the tear itself could not be sewn together but patching and stitching the underside could mitigate the damage. I came to pick it up and BOTH SIDES were covered in a fabric patch that's not even a close match! I was told that there wasn't a way to reinforce it from the underside so they just did both. Even if that were true (it's not), why did no one call me FIRST and tell me the work I requested and paid for wasn't possible? This is a very basic ask of a professional tailor, it's unbelievable they got it so wrong! This patch is so much worse than the original tear. The sofa was custom made in Japan and is a one of a kind piece. Pics of the tear and what they did to it. The pics of the denim repair is an example of what I asked them to do.

I reached out twice to address the issue - once by email and once with a written letter - but never received any response or acknowledgment. Their complete lack of customer service and accountability cost them a long-term customer. I have not returned since and cannot recommend them.

The customer service around this unfortunate event was awful. For the first 3-4 weeks, they said that they were going through factory and trying to identify clothing that survived the fire which was totally understandable. When they could not find our clothes, they asked for the value of our loss. This information was promptly provided. That was 3 months ago, and we have heard nothing since then. They no longer respond to my calls or emails. We will no longer be using this dry cleaner. There is not much of a selection of dry cleaners on Hilton Head, but so far, Door to Door has been fine. It is very convenient, but a bit pricy. But we will never go back to Waters based on how they responded to this unfortunate fire.

When I went in to pick up my items I was charged for a denim jacket and pants, which cost more. I asked why I was charged for a denim jacket instead of a women's 2 piece suit and was told that the jacket was denim. The jacket colors were black, maroon, off white and gold; nothing like a denim jacket. I told the cashier clerk that the jacket was not denim and that I was being overcharged. She said that there was nothing that she could do to change the price. Very poor customer service. I will never go there again.

The woman, who I assume to be the owner, told me that because Tuesday, July 4, 2017 is a holiday that the plant that they send their dry cleaning to would be closed, so the earliest they could get my dress back to me is July 6, 2017 by noon. I had planned to leave for a funeral in MIAMI once I retrieved my black dress from them. I get a call at 10:00 AM on Thursday, July 6, 2017 saying my dress wasn't ready. This was clearly a breach not only of an oral contract but a written one as well, because she documented that my dress would be returned to me by Thursday, July 6, 2017 at noon. Because they failed to complete their end of the contract, I now must go and purchase another dress. I don't know about you, but I don't have cash to be throwing around for dresses because a BUSINESS failed to come through. When I said I won't be paying full price because you all failed to complete your end of the deal, she said "I can't do that". So now, I have to purchase a dress and also pay her. If she is hurting that badly for business, then I will throw her her little $15 dollar fee for my late dress, that I will have to retrieve upon my return to Pooler. So unprofessional. So settle into a machine you like, put your laundry in there and then decide whether to do the cards or coins based on the washer you've got. As of today it $1.00 soap, $3.50 wash ($6.50 huge family washer available too). $4 or so bucks will dry your clothes, less so if you've got light garments. Last if all, THEY OFFER WASH AND FOLD SERVICE!!!!..........in by 9am, out by 5pm. If I had one more day of undergarments, I would have taken that option.
