If I lived in Cleveland, I think I would Flea for the winter. Down south or something. But if you want Fleas in Cleveland, come to this massive Flea market, which I was dragged to by my thrifty friends in town and a girl from Buffalo that I thought I was bringing to Cleveland for things other than shopping. I'd give it a 5 star rating for sure if it wasn't free. It takes place on the 2nd Saturday of every month in a massive industrial relic of the old days of Rust Belt Cleveland, and has a lot of everything you could imagine. I love Cleveland Flea! It's so much fun to spend an hour or two browsing the different vendors there (ranging from jewelry, to clothes, to candles, to plants, and more!), and getting food from the food trucks. I do wish you didn't have to pay admission to enter, but it is only $4 so it could be worse. Also, it can get very hot on the blacktop when the sun is out, and there is not much shade available. Unfortunate to hear that vendors are being charged more and more for a show that has been a virtual "must attend" every month. That is likely the reason for the disappointing vendor selection this year. We have always looked forward to the first Flea and came away wanting this year. Too bad. Without a doubt, this event was one that made Cleveland a great place to live. Stand by. The Flea was on my bucket list for a while, but I didn't get to check it off until the first indoor market this November. We waited until 2PM for free entry. There's a limited amount of parking in the adjacent parking lot, but we found free street parking not too far away in the residential area, and I'm told the nearby church was also available for parking. I liked the selection of stalls present. It was a good mix of accessories, apparel, body care, and trinkets. However, like does not equal afford, and while I enjoyed browsing, I left without purchasing anything. I had expected most of the sellers to be independent business owners without brick and mortar stores. Instead I recognized many of the booths and felt the purpose of a flea market was a little undermined by the fact that I could have gone to the actual store to find the same goods. Of the food options, I was pretty pleased with how many samples were offered! Highlights were mini bundt cakes from Nothing Bundt Cakes and sandwiches from Spice Kitchen. I wish the market was larger so I could have spent longer window shopping, but it took only about an hour to go through the whole venue even with the crush of people between aisles. Nonetheless, definitely a cute place to spend a leisurely afternoon and maybe even find a gift for that special someone! read more

While the vendors are amazing, kind and passionate about providing quality local goods, the owner of Cleveland Flea is rude, demeaning and unprofessional. She's made it very clear by her comments and behavior towards vendors and those who (previously) looked up to her and her business, that she doesn't care at all about her vendors or anything other than herself. If you don't agree with everything she says/thinks, or if you have any kind of comments, concerns or suggestions - even if she asked - you will be met with aggression and completely unprofessional behavior. My suggestion? Find individual vendors and buy from them directly. The Cleveland Flea charges astronomical fees for vendors and then treats them poorly, as if they don't matter when the truth is this woman would not have a business without these talented, hardworking vendors. *Side note: the owner of the Cleveland flea is a white woman who is trying her absolute best to profit off of the Black Lives Matter movement by selling "classes" on the movement for $200 per person. Disgusting behavior, very disappointing. read more

I quite enjoy the Cleveland Flea. I have only been twice (both times during the summer of 2018) so I can't attest or compare to how the event use to be. I think the $2 entry fee is fair though it's the only local event of its time to my knowledge where a fee is required. Apparently a portion of the proceeds go to support a nonprofit but who knows how much. Anyway, there are interesting vendors with lots of Cleveland pride. It's a mix of vendors with vintage pieces, plants, Cleveland or Ohio t-shirts, jewelry, candles, and more. The prices for the vintage pieces are definitely steep. The booths are also pretty small so be prepared to bump shoulders with strangers. It's also a pet and family-friendly event. Lots of cute dogs and babies for you too smile at. Photos in front of the color wall are a good time too. I enjoy the food trucks and can warn you that the bar provides strong beverages. If you're looking for something nonalcoholic, I recommend the mason jar lemonade (it only needs about half the sugar they put in it but it's tasty nonetheless). Parking can be a bit of a doozy but I've manged just fine both times - the first time by paying $10 at a nearby lot and the next I lucked up and found a spot on the street. I recommend you come with exact change for the $2 entry fee (this line is shorter) and plan to spend about an hour to 90 minutes checking everything out. I've only purchased some candles thus far (that actually were quite the disappointment once I got them home and lit them) but it's a good time even if just for the window shopping and for the local, flea market vibes. read more

I LOVE THE CLEVELAND FLEA!! It's one of my favorite parts of summer, and such a great way to support local businesses in Cleveland. If I could give The Cleveland Flea six stars I would! The flea market definitely has more of a younger/hipster vibe to it, which is right up my alley. There's a $1 fee to get in, which I don't mind at all because this is such a fun event! The front part of the flea is set up with all kinds of clothing vendors, artists, plants, beauty products, basically lots of fun little knick knacks! I bought two succulents, one of which is in a tea cup (so cute), a pair of banana earrings, and a soy candle when I went yesterday. The back section of the flea is more so filled with vintage finds and one-of-a-kind items. Lots of clothing and furniture. In the very back are a bunch of delicious smelling food trucks. I got a burrito bowl from Wholly Frijoles, a strawberry lemonade in a mason jar (again, so cute), and some raspberry and chocolate ice cream from Ice Cream Joy! My stomach had never been happier! This flea is also dog-central, so dog lovers will definitely rejoice at the sight of all the cute pups that people bring with them. To top it all off, the flea is also held in a parking lot that has a great painted wall for photo ops. Cleveland is so lucky to have such an amazing flea market. Cleveland flea is one of the coolest things in town for a Detroit guy and anyone willing to take a short trip. All unique items, nothing commercial. Acres of used and new merchandise, antiques, collectibles, clothing, jewelry, t shirts, candles, houseplants, posters, wall art, purses, etc. Housewares made out of broken auto glass? Yes! Wooden coasters with vintage painted ads? Yes! Unique food items dot the eastern and southern part of the grounds. Lemonade and Pierogis? Yup, they got that. Greek dishes? Street tacos? Absolutely. Tucked away in an old warehouse district along the railroad tracks in the St. Clair Superior neighborhood. The charge to get in is about 5 bucks. Most vendors are very nice. Many drive miles to get here so be nice to them. Parking is competitive so get there early or else walk a mile. So great to have this here and to be able to experience it! read more

This is a great event to go and see what local goods are being crafted in Ohio. Even pick up a snack from one of the local restaurants. The biggest note that I would make about the flea is that you can find unique goods. But, based on that expect to pay a higher cost for the items. Also depending on the time that you go to the flea you may have to pay to get in. I would note that usually later on Saturday and/or Sunday you can get in for free. Just check the Facebook page to see if the flea has a cover. Overall, this is a great event. read more

Cool flea market to check out on a beautiful Cleveland afternoon! Lots of good stuff: vintage items, metal sculptures, retro furniture, cool jewelry, clothing, wood decor, just lots of good things. Some pricey, some cheap, just go once for goodness sake to enjoy the fresh air. It's where the cool people go. Actually, screw the cool people, there are great food trucks to enjoy while you're there. Cutie little bakery camper too - yummers. The DJ, or Flea J, plays great music. Lots of dogs, little swimming pool for them to cool off. Port-a-potties are as expected but they did have a little sink and mirror set-up that was awesome! Nice job CLE! read more

I loved my first visit to the Sunday Market in Hingetown. Once a month, from May to October, The Cleveland Flea's French cousin - the Sunday Market - takes place in lovely Hingetown (W.29th & Church, near Ohio City) between the hours of 10am & 4pm. Parking seems limited, but we got there early and snagged a spot on Church Street. The Market is a "brunch" market so there were many an option to snag a bite to eat including crepes from Elise's crepes (savory or sweet - we tried out ham & gruyere and a classic nutella), Brewnuts (craft beer donuts yum!), Cleveland Bagel Co. bagels and their handcrafted schmear, French macarons from Coquette Patisserie, & more. This past weekend it was also BYOB and the Market provided mimosa & bloody mary fixins. We also picked up an iced coffee from Rising Star - so refreshing. The market vendors were awesome - a great selection of handmade goods, candles, jewelry, fashion, vintage items, and antiques. My personal faves were jewelry from Océanne Whimsical Wearables and antiques/vintage goods from The Gallery in Tremont but all the vendors had an awesome selection of eclectic finds. Pets are welcome, children are welcome - its a great outing for the whole family. Can't wait to head to both the Flea and Market next month. Use to be such a great event; I still enjoy the outdoor market even though this year it feels a lot smaller with less vendors. I search and buy vintage and there's just so few vintage sellers as of this year. The holiday show they put on has always been so great that I did not mind paying a entry fee. But this year the entry fee has jumped (it's between $20-$15 at the door depending on what time you go which can get confusing) and Sunday is no longer free as it was in the past. I always felt you got a lot for the higher entry fee. There use to be entertainment, and hundreds of vendors. One year they gave away cute swag bags! I don't even know what I even paid for as their are not many vendors, not much variety and expensive drinks. I don't know what happened, but something is off. I've enjoyed the holiday show since the beginning but there's nothing holiday about it anymore. read more

The Cleveland Flea was a neat place and had a cool atmosphere! Free parking all around the side streets and $2 admission. Lots of local food vendors. The flea was basically split up into a modern, hipster side with prints, accessories, home decor, and clothing, and the other side was what you expect out of a flea market with vintage items. Definitely a cool experience! The earlier you go the better, as it will get crowded and hard to look at items in each vendor's tent. Bring your dogs and the whole family! read more

I was looking forward to the first indoor Flea of the season at their new location on Lorain Ave in OHC. The venue is a former thrift store, which I guess is fitting, but it doesn't have nearly the historic, architectural appeal and vibe of the Masonic Temple where they held it last year. There was no bar, despite their social media promises, and it seemed like a lot fewer vendors. On the plus side we discovered a spice company from Columbus called Falcon and Flash that was awesome. And I bought a set of three nesting vintage Pyrex mixing bowls that totally took me back to my childhood. I also picked up candles from two different vendors, and some other small items. Overall, I wasn't impressed and was definitely disappointed that I'd wasted $10 on a guaranteed admission ticket. I'm not likely to go to another Flea this year. read more

This event reminded me of the weekly Trading Post on Melrose in Hollywood, only on a much, much, smaller scale. The Cleveland Flea is relatively impressive for a Cleveland event. Although it took only about an hour to walk through the entire event, and peek through each booth, the variety of vendors and the craftsmanship and creativity surprised me. Being a criminal justice major, I really enjoyed the booth with the jewelry made from reclaimed glass from car break-ins, as the artist turned her misfortune into a lucrative business filled with pretty little treasures. Between the jewelry, crafts, and vintage items, there were also a couple different food trucks and vendors for eating with plenty of seating. The event was quite pet friendly, as there were lots of dogs around. Overall the Cleveland Flea is a nice way to spend a Sunday morning, especially if it's on a beautiful day. *My only complaint is that although the location was interesting and left plenty of room for walking, the lot is very old and has some very dangerous potholes (one with a drain that was barely flush with the pavement anymore, and looked as if someone could kick it off exposing a large hole) and a steep incline in the shifted concrete pavement that my mom almost tripped over while preoccupied with the booths. Perhaps a simple cone or even nicely decorated sign that said "Caution: Watch Step" could prevent someone from getting hurt. read more

The flea is a collection of local Cleveland businesses, artists, and food vendors that come together the 2nd Saturday of the month (April to Oct). Definitely worth checking out, as it's a one stop shop to support local businesses! The organizers do a great job and it is always well planned, clean, and full of unexpected finds! I would also recommend checking out the Sunday Market that the group holds in Hingetown (near Ohio City). You never know what you'll find! read more

Made our first and last trip to the Cleveland Flea today. Admission is $2, $1 of which is a mandatory donation to some group that is assisting illegal aliens. They do have a large number of vendor tents but it was too crowded for serious browsing. A large selection of food trucks but very limited picnic table type seating, there was room for at least twice as many tables as they had set up. We are not dog lovers (do they get charged admission?). Didn't purchase anything. Had a much better time shopping the two Asiatown malls and eating at Superior Pho on the other side of Superior Avenue. read more

I really didn't find anything worth buying. The prices are HIGH! I am a veteran art show, craft show, vintage and flea shopper but for my demographic ( not a millennial) ... I wasn't impressed. Jewelry is a lot of brass or to chunky to be desirable and overpriced. I love the idea but I think the vendors are all the owners taste. Not diverse enough. read more

I hadn't been to the flea in a while because my weekend travel coincides with its dates. It has grown so much! Nice variety of clothing, jewelry, food and drink. I would say they could reduce the number of t-shirt vendors. I think CLE has hit its saturation point of local tees. This would allow other vendors to come in. I love the cat lady vendor. She has great catnip-filled toys that my cats loved. And don't miss the mason jar lemonade folks and of course the Pierogi Lady, my faves. I am happy to see them charge admission to help support their mission. Arrive early! read more

Stopped by the Sunday market this AM. Very cute! I loved all the little "shop" setups. The goods offered were very eclectic and very fun to browse. There were a good few options for brunch. I had an egg and cheese sando on a Brioche bun. It hit the spot. I brought my Mom to this event and she had a blast looking at all the antiques with me. Reminded me of the days we used to go "garage sale-ing" but classier. I would definitely come back to another Sunday morning Flea! Now I really want to try out the Saturday Flea as well! read more

This is like a tiny, little Cleveland Flea. Lots of good food, coffee, tea. Cleveland bagels make an appearance, Brewnuts, crepes. Try out a Rising Star Coffee or get something glorious from Cleveland Tea Revival. There are lots of antiques, paper goods, and beautifully made items. It all feels very hipster, but in a good way. Parking isn't great. We never ended up parking too far away, though. Love looking for treasures and gifts while trying delicious food. read more

The Cleveland Flea would be more appropriately named The Cleveland Artisan Market. Artisans of all sorts are abundant. Their items are of good quality but not necessarily unique. The 'flea market' portion is rather lacking and the prices of the merchandise were laughable. Drive east into Lake or Ashtabula county and your dollars will get you way further. There's no shortage of food and we found seating to be plentiful. There's even a little green space with free bottled water. Dogs are allowed but I found this somewht annoying. The market is quite busy and navigating leashed dogs along with the crowd was frustrating. In conclusion I'd say this is a stop you won't regret not making That is unless you have your heart set on a 'Believeland' t-shirt. read more

The Cleveland Flea is where it's at y'all! I remember going last year and it wasn't nearly as crowded, but it's okay because they've ramped up the number of staffing and vendors to match the amazing crowd that comes out. It costs $1 to get in, which in my opinion is worth it just for the fun vibe and people watching (and dog watching... so many dogs!). For those that aren't familiar, Cleveland Flea comes to Superior once a month for a conglomerate of vintage, antique and handmade items as well as some food and beverage trucks. This is one of the better run 'festivals' in the area in my opinion, and I love that it brings so much foot traffic to an area that traditionally hasn't had a lot. If you're worried about finding the spot, no worries. You'll see lots of folks walking in and out of the entryway and there's plenty of signage to guide you inside. The parking situation in the area can be a bit limited, but to be honest it's far better than most other festivals since there's so much legal street parking. Whether you're looking for a fun way to spend a summer afternoon, or you're on the lookout for something special, or you just want to do some good old fashioned people watching, the Cleveland Flea is a must visit at least once during your summer. You'll find yourself wanting to return the following month. * They also are now offering "Food Flea" on Sundays after the Saturday Flea, which is a more food-centric version, but at the same venue! read more

I'll admit this rating is based on this past weekend when admission was $15! "Fifteen dollars?!!" That's exactly what I said when the woman told me the entry fee. I had attended several times previously and never paid more than a few dollars. So a little shame on me for not checking the admission price before driving out, but more shame on them for increasing admission 500% in less than a year. What did that get me? Nothing in the way of gifts due to a lot of t-shirt, jewelry and soap vendors. I did score a tasty breakfast bagel and some frozen pierogis to take home. Sorry this event seems to have taken a turn from a cool mix of antiques and artisans to a money grab by organizers. I hope a competitor can offer something similar to the old flea in the way of admission and offerings. read more

There was a holiday theme so many Christmas presents were bought! All types of vendors were available from food, Cleveland novelties, along with thrifty finds. We truly enjoyed our experience and are very sad this this was our first time stopping by! I plan to bring some family members back to the next one! read more
