    Vintage Clip On Earrings
    Lisa A.

First impression walking in the door is 'Magic Jewelry Box Filled with Treasures' and it is that and more. If you love vintage this is a must visit destination. I'm a Flight Attendant and stop into vintage shops all around the country. This is perhaps the most amazing vintage shopping experience I have had. The price are incredibly reasonable for this quality and selection of vintage (this can be a one stop shop for most, if not all your vintage needs). I ended up visiting two days in a row for hours both times and can't wait to return. The first day the ladies working were so wonderful. I was given a tour of the space, so I could get the lay of the land (this place is massive). They were so knowledgeable and helpful. I left with a mint condition 1940s novelty print dress in a volup size as well as earrings. Day two, I had the pleasure of meeting the owner, Redwin. He was so personable and knowledgeable. His passion for vintage along with his genuine interest in his customers was so lovely. I decided to focus my hunt in the hat section along with accessories and came away with six colorful Whimsies, a 1940s Navy Crocheted Purse with matching Change Purse, and some porcelain earrings.

I absolutely loved visiting Sweet Lorain when I was a kid, and having moved back to the area I was excited to come back and do some actual shopping for the first time. As others have noted, the selection here is HUGE. Years of amazing pieces pulled together, which can make for hours of deep browsing. That itself is a big part of the appeal of visiting - looking through all the nooks and crannies to admire the housewares, clothing, jewelry, pop culture relics, and more. That said, many thrifters may be disappointed to discover that items are generally priced to reflect their (high) value rather than to encourage sales. This is completely fair, just makes it much harder to justify impulse purchases, and you may walk away empty-handed. If you are an independently wealthy vintage lover, please go do some damage here for me! You will love it! On the other hand, I may continue to treat it more like a museum than a regular shopping destination.

Lordy Lordy! Sweet Loraine has been the highlight of my year. Millions of vintage pieces for you to look through, women's vintage jeans, the sheer number of women's dresses is insane. Dressers, buffets, dishes, Knick knacks. Just wow. The dopamine high I got from being here was enough to set me straight for the year. The staff was kind, helpful, and excited for me with my finds. If you're in the area have a go and I might venture to say - depending on your vintage collection and if you're a vintage lifestyle type... It might be worth the cost of a plane ticket and a weekend stay to pop in. I bought a cuff vintage native bracelet - $60, 2 pair of vintage jeans - $35 & $40, and 2 necklaces/chains - $12/$20. It's a bit overpriced, You can't have everything you want here (you'll go broke) but it is a speciality shop after all and the prices reflect worth on most of the items. (Not Goodwill or Flea market prices.)

So I had a friend tell me about this place on my most recent visit home to the Cleveland area. I really started getting into MCM anything in the last year or so and decided to check out a few stores, this being one of them. Wow. This place has so much stuff! I got there an hour before closing and wish I had allotted more time because there was just so much to see. From what I have found online, prices seemed fair. I made a couple small purchases and loved that the items came in an old may company bag. Like a bonus item, lol! Next time I'm home I'm going to go a little earlier and explore a little more.

If you're into costume jewelry they have an amazing selection, just don't anticipate feeling like you got a good deal when you buy.

In its current state, Flower Child is walking into a retro basement that has decades of treasure! LAYOUT/INVENTORY: The store has two levels with multiple rooms of treasure. Both levels have similar merchandise - home goods, kitchen tools, some furniture, abundance of accessories, clothing, vinyls, and some interesting international decor. Just when you think you ran out of rooms, there are more rooms of treasure to browse. I especially loved the basement. Every room is a treasure hunt! If you wear petite sizes, this is a treasure trove of vintage clothing. You'll find tees, dresses, sweaters, and pants. The clothing is casual and functional. Check out all the clothing rooms on the main level and basement. VALUE: The discounts on merchandise of 70% is a great value. However, the initial prices are quite high considering the quality. Some of the clothing and items are very well loved. I don't see myself paying full prices for the items to be extremely honest. SERVICE: The staff was very nice to customers during checkout. There was a lot of excitement about the upcoming store move. They staff was always very busy. Personally, I wanted to ask about the pricing for a folk pin I was eyeing. There was no one to ask so I eventually gave up. I'm sure the service is more attentive during the regular days. PARKING: I was surprised to find a pretty large parking lot at the back of the building considering the location is in Lakewood. Amazing if you're carrying home a lot of treasure. I would recommend Flower Child to guests who enjoy digging for treasure. You definitely need maybe an hour to focus on each room without getting overwhelmed. I look forward to checking out the layout of a new store!

They have taken over a large department store space and divided it into a large number of individual stalls. Each stall is stocked and priced by individual owners which results in a really diverse variety of items. There are true antiques, interesting vintage items, collectibles, art and even furniture. Each item is priced and identified by stall number. I really enjoy browsing through the stalls, some have a clear theme and are consistent, others have a true hodgepodge of items so that you have to take your time looking at what is available. Even though most of the items are not what I am interested in, I always find some items that I am interested in and a larger amount that are fun to see. Pricing is moderate with a wide range from a bit high to some real values. You might also find selected stalls where some or all of theitems are discounted. On one item I wanted the staff was able to contact the seller and I negotiated a lower price. Although I usually hit the thrift stores looking for bargains I do enjoy an occasional visit to Antiques & Uniques to see what is available. I have purchased a really nice Inuit stone carving and have my eye on a really nice Asian wooden mask. I also appreciate that you have the ability to just walk around at your own pace and see what is there. SERVICE: The store staff all welcomed me in. It was a very pleasant experience. I also witnessed them engaging in friendly conversations with other customers. I did not purchase anything due to the store carrying a very limited plus size inventory. It's a well set expectation at most thrift and vintage shops due to procurement difficulties. There were probably five pieces labeled XXL that looked smaller than their size. I wear between XXL and 3X, so they just wouldn't work for my body type. Nonetheless, I was impressed with the selection of purses and will continue checking out this store for those items.

I ended up purchasing an item; hence, the reason I am writing this review. WHAT (type of store) -- Magically Found is a quirky shop filled with random items such as candles, cards, tea cups, etc. The owner was super friendly during my visit. She explained that this shop has what a grandmother living in an English cottage would keep at her house. ITEMS -- The owner explained this to be a witchy store hence the name "Magic" is in the store name. I am not into witch things neither do I believe in that but the store has many other items to buy. They sell matches, candles, candle stick holders, tea cups, and other random items. I bought a little square container ($9) that has a strawberry shaped top/cover. It can be used for anything such as to put earrings in or even cubed sugar. I still haven't decided what I'll use mine for but it is in my kitchen for now. I never knew this store existed in Lakewood but I'm glad to have stopped by. It has a strong Practical Magic flare to it (and you may even hear its magical soundtrack playing).
