One side is clothes, books and games and toys. The other side is furniture and housewares and sports. This store is super clean!! Everything is very well organized and best of all the prices are right!! Sometimes when you go to a thrift they will charges such high prices that no one wants to buy it. It's not that way here. I swear they have new stuff everyday and they are putting out things continuously all day. If you are on the hunt for something you should stop on out. They are a non-profit that uses their money to benefit different community and international programs.

Despite the limited selection of men's clothes I have been impressed with the quality of the selection. I have found 2 pairs of really good shoes here and prices are reasonable. The North Building is mostly home goods, really high quality furniture, some interesting art and other home decor, with kitchen goods, sporting goods and some electronics. Here the prices are very good especially when you consider the quality of the offerings. If you are looking for some great high quality thrift shop finds checking out Good Neighbor Thrift Store is well worth your time. While the big thrift stores have bigger selection it is nice to support a local shop and to reward them for doing a great job. This is a well organized thrift shop with a nice compact foot print and reasonable prices.

It's such a nostalgic loire with mid-century modern treasures between 1920 and 1980. I've now visited a few times and really loved my time here. It also has been recognized for being one of the best thrift shops in Ohio. I can see why! AMBIANCE/MERCH: The store occupies 10,000 square feet space on Lorain. It's a neighborhood well known for thrift to the extent that you can have your own crawl. Sweet Lorain has the main space, back space, and furniture room. The main space mostly contains old newspapers, vinyls, jewelry, and home decor. The furniture room has furniture and nostalgic toys. The back room is the treasure chest. You'll find global treasures, Ohio decor, Christmas decor, furs, clothing, luggage, hats, and never ending inventory of whatever you brain may dream up. Some inventory even indicates the era. The inventory pricing widely varies from a few cents to the thousands. Be ready to go on an archeological dig, there is an overwhelming amount of inventory and unique finds. I am a very picky thrifter, and even I can find things to light up about. I love the assortment of furs at Sweet Lorain. There are so many racks of fur coats, boxes upon boxes of muftas, stoles, and hats. There is a fabulous collection of feathered hats (let's bring this fashion back)!There are also a million other things to love. SERVICE: The service is pretty friendly, the owner and the employee always ask if you want help. I most impressed that the owner knows absolutely everything he carries in his enormous inventory. Just ask, and he'll tell you. PARKING: Small, gated parking lot is available onsite. You can also find plenty of street parking. SELL: This place allows you to sell your treasures. Make an appointment in advance. I plan to be back very soon to dig for formal accessories - shoes and clutches. If you have a formal occasion, venture out here. You'll find so many shoes, clutches, formal dresses, and everything in between. It's perfect destination for holiday outfit shopping and everything in between.

This store is large, clean and well organized with a great staff and is always fun to shop at. Every week there are two discount colors, one is half price and the other is 75% off, which makes for some great deals. Prices overall are very reasonable and the selection is very good. The store is strongest for clothes and shoes, I have found many great and interesting suit jackets and dress shirts, including some colorful tux jackets. On my most recent visit I found a high-quality mesh motorcycle jacket for $10 and a really nice pair of Rockport shoes for $2.50 with the discount. The selection is always diverse with plenty of quality brands and items. You can usually find a decent amount of items that are the discount color even in the middle or end of the week. The store also has a nice selection of electronics, kitchenware, art, décor and bric a brac. I always seem to find some interesting items and spend quite a bit of time looking around. I have found plenty of items that I would not expect. The real jewel of the store is up front by the registers, they have glass cases with great jewelry and behind them shelves with higher end items that have been donated. If looking for some higher end items this is the place to check out. VOA Thrift is a great place to thrift, shop or just check out. The store is open early and late which allows for thrifting even if you have to work during the day. Definitely worth checking out.

In fact, I was planning to go to TJ Maxx. I detoured once I saw this store. I love North Olmsted location and was hoping for a similar shopping experience. STORE: The store has a lot of open space and sufficient room to roam. The front of the store has staging - cute women's fall outfits (like orange and corduroy skirts, and fall sweaters). There is also a table setup with Thanksgiving inspo. You'll also find clearance racks at the front of the store. The remaining space has clothing, accessories, sleepwear, books, home decor, and glass stand with jewelry. The store is well organized so that you can easily dig for treasure. If you're familiar with the North Olmsted store, expect for this one to be more modern. However, it has less space and inventory. Also, significantly less deals. INVENTORY: The inventory here is a mix of quality finds and things that lived in the attic for years. Some things are like new (like clutches and purses). Other things are really wrinkly and dated. The prices at this store are outrageous. The North Olmsted location has some finds for just few bucks which I can always justify purchasing. Here I found some surprising prices like an empty bourbon bottle for $5.99, clutch for $7.99, and other strange pricing. Simply put, you can go to competitors' stores around the area and procure new merchandise for less. The inventory is final sale - no refunds or returns. I will say that the book inventory here is well organized and pretty diverse. Lots of pretty good books for adults and children. You won't find best sellers but there are some recognizable titles. MY FINDS: I was interested in a few things. I was eyeing a brown purse but could not justify $9.99 for a used find with no brand name. I purchased a few things: two books, one scarf, and a beret. The scarf was Russian style and gorgeous. One of my items had a tag sale and I got a few bucks off my purchase which was nice. SERVICE: Service is not too friendly. I interacted with a few associates at this store and none were nice. The checkout associate observed me looking at scarves for a little too long indicating that probably there is some loss prevention issue at this store. I didn't appreciate that. PARKING: There is a spacious parking lot at the front of the store. At the time of this review there was construction and obstructions. If you go on weekends, there might be challenges associated with finding parking spots. The shopping area has a cluster of popular stores. I haven't yet decided whether I'd visit this store again. Probably more negative than affirmative. I wasn't satisfied with the value, quality of merchandise, and service. I might stop in the distant future to look for books.

The furniture section is set up beautifully --it looks look a furniture showroom. The furniture quality is excellent and well priced. Instead of paying $800- 1000 for a new, fake wood, cheaply made kitchen/dining room table set with chairs, you pay a fraction of that price for real quality wood furniture. They also have couches, chairs, tables, lamps, cabinets and desks. I purchased a quality kitchen table with two leaves. Ellen helped me remove the leaves so I could see how the table worked and see the differences in size with and without each of the leaves. She answered my questions and helped me set up delivery. She was super helpful--thank you Ellen. The table arrived the following Monday. The two gentleman who delivered it were great (a big thank you to them). I've been to the store on several occasions and there are always new items coming into the store. They have a nice selection of used hard and softback books (adult, teen and children), kitchen utensils, brand name dishware and dish sets (Lennox), clothing (including shoes, hats, and coats), jewelry, framed artwork, holiday decorations, figurines, games and toys, and much more. In addition to the table, I've purchased several bracelets, an outdoor garden statue (I had seen it before on Amazon but the Amazon price was too high for me), books, and a dog trinket box. You can spend a while there looking at all the items, antiques and collectibles. Lisa & the family are great with customer service! There is a feel of artisans and crafters as there are many local businesses represented such as Cleveland Sewing Company. There is a great selection of eco friendly products such as reusable towels and some vintage items. There is also Cleveland themed items such as wine glasses, towels, and coasters. The owner was kind and we talked about a couple other places that she has tried. Overall, it is a cool, local boutique.
