Have been here once to get a table (with chairs and a bench) and the second time a new bed set. Pros - Selection is INCREDIBLE!!! It was almost impossible to choose what I wanted. - Staff were unbelievably friendly and helpful - Prices were UNBEATABLE!!! Had been to Ashley and Firniture Row and let's just say Merrell's is 10x better all around - Delivery time was same or next day, unlike Ashley and others that told me it would be 2-8 weeks (yes weeks not days) Cons NONE! If you need anything for your house, check out Merrell's, you won't be upset.

On their website, The Ollie Closet says that they're the best vintage store in Lafayette, and I…read morethink that declaration might be true. This is a dope store with some really interesting threads. Have I sold it enough to you with my adjectives? Just go and visit, and you'll see what I mean. This vintage store is two stories of clothing, accessories, shoes, hats and miscellaneous paraphernalia from bygone decades. Everything is well organized (I would even go so far as to say that this store is pristine!), and the racks of clothing are spaced out nicely, so it doesn't feel cramped at all. In fact, the store is very bright and airy and pleasant to walk around. Upstairs, you'll find more clothes, but also a corner with a couch and a movie playing on a TV. You can just sit and chill for a while, if you want. When I visited, it was some black-and-white film playing on a DVD player. The prices are about what I would expect at a well-curated vintage clothing store. They have a lot of good stuff here, and they know it.

They are located toward the end of Main Street, where the downtown Lafayette area starts to taper off. The South House has so many cute and unique items! Everything from statues and candles to artwork and textiles and flatware. It kind of reminded me of a grown-up Anthropologie, but without the clothing. Just nice, delicate things that look like they came from overseas. Things you want to hold in your hand and display in your home. Because it was early days for the store, they were still setting a few things up. But the store is beautiful, and it was nice to just wander around and be surrounded by beautiful objects. This is a great place to find a gift for someone who likes nice, thoughtful gifts.

Inside, the store did not disappoint. TDeez carries some of the most beautiful wood you would ever want to use for table, chairs, cutting boards, serving trays. Even though I'm not a DIY person, I was able to describe the type of tray I wanted, and the owner quickly showed me how easy it was to have one made to my specs. Their variety of tray handles inspired me to have one built by them, rather than ordering online from a big company or a foreign woodworker. I was happy to spend money at a local small business, especially one with such a friendly and knowledgeable owner. TDeez also has pre-made wood items for sale, like olive wood spoons, wood coasters, trays, cutting boards, even jewelry. You can also purchase some tin art for your walls, or framed items. This place is a gem!

This store is full of wonderfully and carefully curated items, and most of these items wanted to follow me home. But these things would also make great gifts for a loved one, if you're looking for a gift. This boutique store has a lot of things for kids, which is neat. There's a whole little section just for kids' clothing and accessories. Mostly, though, you'll find women's clothing, women's accessories, plus random things like candles, handbags, bath bombs, hair clips and things like that. The owner is the operator and is very friendly. I truly hope this store does well as it fills a niche here in Lafayette that we don't have otherwise. I only worry that not enough people know about this little gem. My only "complaints" would be that I want MORE!
