I work at Purdue, so whenever I need a midday boost of caffeine, I head to the Den. For .65 (22oz) or .85 (32oz) you can get a "Den Pop". They have both Coke and Pepsi products. They also have a ton of drink (mixes) to make different soda combos! This place also has TONS of snacks, Purdue swag, and some hilarious shirts. Love it here!!! Explored all the other bookstores for Purdue merchandise, and this was the most reasonable store. They have literally everything here you need. They have sunglasses, snacks, soda machines, and all authentic retro gear. I bought so many shirts to take back home to family and it was not expensive! The quality is Good, so it's very worth it for sure. The customer service was 5 stars! The lady who worked the register was very nice and gave good insight on what shirts she though was best. Worst customer service experience. 5/30/25 at 6:20pm. Grace and Caleb were extremely rude to me. I was browsing the shirts and Caleb makes passive aggressive comments like, "I'm going to have to refold that.." and grabs the shirt and storms off. They made me feel uncomfortable and like I was an inconvenience. I have pictures as evidence, I was not going around unfolding every single shirt.. but I was browsing shirts for my family and so I unfolded a good 5 shirts... there was no one else at the store so it wasn't as if they were very busy either. I was the only one in that store. I was on the phone talking to my sister about how I'm feeling uncomfortable on the phone because I am showing her some of the shirts, and they're hovering over me. I'm talking to my sister telling her how uncomfortable I feel and the girl starts making very rude remarks at me and storms off. .. at that point I felt very uncomfortable and left without purchasing anything. Very disappointed and disheartening experience. I hope you are able to take this as constructive criticism. As a customer , I felt attacked and like an inconvenience and as a result did not buy anything and left. I was ready to make my purchases but decided to take my money elsewhere. I love going back to my alma mater and visiting Discount Den for a Den Pop, which is a super cheap 64 oz soda. I love that they have all kinds of unique "recipes" mixed sodas on the wall. My daughter also loves going there with me. They have fun snacks and a lot of great Purdue spirit wear. Love going there! read more

Pretty much the ideal college store, except they have some off-brand shirts that are super cheap and in varying styles! They gave everything a student would need, plus the added fun of having a wall of pop recipe concoctions. It's an institution, with den pops, awesome souvenirs, shirts, magnets, condoms, cigarettes, and even a fresh donut place in the back wig colorful, tasty looking racks of donuts. Ahhhh The Den. Home of the Denpop and inflatable sex dolls. Where else can you get a 44oz drink for $0.75? Don't say 7-11. 7-11 doesn't have obscene birthday cards, frisbee golf accessories, and vividly-colored Purdue shirts. The prices are a little jacked up, but not so much that you'd refuse to ever buy a can of baked beans or bottle of Tabasco. The selection of oddball items is unbeatable, and the drink recipes on the back wall are a West Lafayette landmark. Occasionally there's a hot girl manning the register, other times it's just a stoner dude, but they've always been friendly regardless. Whether a prospective student, currently-enrolled Boilermaker, Purdue alumni, or just a visitor passing through, make Discount Den a stop on your journey. "Hows about some pop!?" Seriously. Smack my Californian face 32oz of soda for less than the change in my pocket?! (50something cents?). I loved the randomness of the stuff they had in here - the posters, the beer pong stuff, the cheap candy. There are plenty of selections of soda . . . eh pop choices on the wall. I was so excited I missed half of them. I tried the one with blue Poweraid, red cream soda, and something else (sprite?). AWESOME! I have been in love with the Discount Den and their trademark Den Pops since 1997 when I started my freshman year. Every year I have gone back to Purdue, I have to make a pit stop and refuel myself with the ridiculously cheap Den Pops; a HUGE selection of candy; and some Purdue swag. Two words: DEN POP! On any given day, you can look around campus and see kids carrying their white styrofoam cups full of soda from the Den. I used to be a regular here just to get a den pop. Everything else is way overpriced, but you're paying for the convenience of not leaving cmapus to buy bread or shaving cream. read more

I had countless visits here when I was a student. Three years after graduation and I still miss the Den Pops. Giant sodas for less than a $1. They have both Coca Cola and Pepsi machines with many flavors to satisfy your little heart's desire. They even have or had (not sure anymore) a bunch of recipes to make multiple flavored drinks. This place is basically a convenience store but they also have cheap Purdue shirts and sweatshirts. They have all sorts of quirky gifts for your friends as well. All the inflatable penises at home football games came from this store. One of the best things about the Discount Den is the cartridge refill service. I used to come here and get my printer cartridges refilled cheap and also got a free den pop when picking up my orders. It saved me lots of money while in college. read more

Home of the den pop! The main reason I come here is the nice selection of disc golf discs that they sell as well as bags for carrying discs. They offer a wide selection of candy and novelty items as well and college apparel. They have a decent selection of cigars as well if that is your thing. read more

Of course I come here for the 55 cent den pops that are huge and allow you to intermix pepsi and coke products, but I also come for many other purposes. Need a chaser? Go to the den. Jello for jello shots? Go to the den. $6.99 Purdue T-Shirts? The den. A 6' inflatable penis? Again the den. A Purdue tradition. I doubt many Purdue students haven't had a Den Pop, much less know what it is. The are super cheap and huge! They have your typical sodas but you can follow one of the "recipes" hanging above the soda fountain to try something new. They also have cute, funny pins and your typical college/Purdue gear. I just wish this place had better lighting since it always seems a bit dark in there, but otherwise, I love coming here! read more
