This review is for the excellent work done by The Clean Plumbers in Tampa and St. Petersburg. After receiving unusually high water bills from the City of St. Petersburg, a city inspector checked my water meter and advised me that I likely had a leak. I called The Clean Plumbers. Eric came out promptly, diagnosed the issue, and clearly explained how the work would proceed, including cost estimates and permitting. The plumbing team, led by Luis, with technicians Jackson and Carlito, did outstanding work. They had to cut through four inches of concrete in my circular driveway to run a new plumbing line to my house, and they handled the job with professionalism and care. When the work was finished, they repaired the concrete so well that it looked new. Had 2 different techs from The Clean Plumber out to tell me the same thing. "We will get back to you". Of course they never did. Much like Frank Gay Services, they are only looking for easy , fast fixes. I was a long time customer of Dove Plumbing in The Villages. The Clean Plumbers bought them out but are no way related. poor customer service and delays. Plumber didn't call first as requested. Finally showed up at 1pm to say he had a Dr's appointment at 2pm and had to leave. Why show up for 15 minutes? Only gave an estimate and arranged for another day. The other plumber couldn't arrive either as he was leaving for the day too. Management wasn't much better. They charge a $99 membership fee which he waived if I would reschedule. Don't fall for it because their estimate already runs $100+ higher for same estimate from local plumbers. Too bad Dove Plumbing sold out to this company. read more

I had my gas hot water heater replaced today. Mike Michal and Reagan Blake were on site at 10 am and left at 12 noon. The installation included new water supply connections gas reflex lines pressure relief valve and expansion tank as required by code. The existing setup was a difficult one but these two with their team efforts were able to accomplish the task. the team were certified professional plumbers and their job was exceptional. I know that some think that they are a little pricey but I do not mind the price for a certified well trained professional team of plumbing associates as well as the customer services I received along the way. this was impressive. He also replaced the rotted flooring underneath and recommended a house filtration system be installed which saved me lots of money doing it at the same time. A person answered the phone. we set a appointment for the next day for a estimate,immediately I got a text with photo of my plumber & his name. Travis Mclntyre arrived on time, very polite and professional, Iwanted my water shut off valve moved from underground to on the house were I could reach it. Travis took pics and said let me see if I have what I need in my truck and work up your estimate. 5 min. later he said he could do it today. The cost was $150 less than the first estimate I got. I called Maurici plumbing this morning 03/13/2025 and asked then price of an estimate for repair or replacement for a hot water heater and installation of a new kitchen faucet. I purchased the faucet beforehand. I asked at least twice what the charge for an estimate would be and was told there was no charge for an estimate. I had earlier reset a breaker but the water heater still did not work; however, prior to the plumber coming, my wife did the same thing and the WH started working. When the plumber came, I told him the WH had started working again, so I would not need to repair it at this time. I did have him check the sink and estimate the install. He gave me estimates from $550.00 up to over $700.00 according to various unknowns that were not discernable. I was never told that we would be charged a $59.00 service fee for showing up. I would have chosen another option if I had been told they always charge at least $59.00. Post facto, I was informed that looking at the water heater was free, but other estimates incurred a charge. I paid $59.00 for nothing except the guy showing up; I did not request a service call; I wanted an estimate. I will recommend to anyone I know to ask a thousand questions before hiring this company. I don't object to the cost of a service call. I do object to not being told upfront that there would be one if I wanted to compare costs. read more

came out to unclog a kitchen sink, did in fact unclog it for 3 weeks, 2 of which the house was empty then it clogged again, told me I needed a jet clean costing another 2k that was necessary , why they didn't recommend in the first place who knows, turns out they were Incorrect in their recommendation . Hired another company , they inserted a camera before any work, it was tree roots. They obviously want the super quick solution with incorrect analysis . Total waste of money with them. Mr. Luis Ramos came in for a service visit today. I explained to him that the carpet was wet after showering and that the rug remained moist for days. He did a thorough inspection of the bathroom and shower. Behind the wall, there is moisture on the rug. In order to know if there's a leak, a technician would need to break the wall. We called Maurici /Clean Plumbers for 2 separate issues - a toilet in December 2021 and a Water Heater in January 2022. Pros: They can usually get to you in a 2-3 days time. (With all going on in the world, many places are taking weeks to get back to you so I'm appreciative of their relatively quick turnaround tie.) Their call fee is around $60 or less. They are relatively quick at their work and generally come on time. They do assign a set time instead of the dreaded 8-12 cable time frame shtick. They came late on the second job due to car trouble, but called us to let us know. All workers were courteous and answered all our questions. Cons If you have older appliances/plumbing, it seems like they often nudge you towards a new item even if the old one can be fixed. On both jobs, we replaced a toilet and was $540 approx and a new water heater for $1500. While the heater was a necessity to have replaced, I'm a bit skeptical that the toilet needed. Also, my Dad had wanted a longer , more oval shaped toilet , but the plumber basically brought one that was only minimally different than the older one. Their prices a little higher for certain jobs compared to others we have used in the past. They were a little less than Cornerstone but more than others. Overall: If you have a plumbing problem needed to be resolved quickly, I would recommend them as they are fast and reliable. read more

We had a main drain clog caused by an improperly installed connection of our home to the city sewer, our whole house was backing up. They hand dug a 7 ft deep 5 ft long trench to access the pipes. Removed the unconnected pipe , cut the broken terracotta connection. Attached the proper fittings and cleared out the debris with a roto rooter, They contacted the city sewer dept. on an emergency basis just in case. I had an issue in a guest bathroom with the water not shutting off in the shower. Clean plumbers had a technician out the following day to address the problem. The technician, Kevin Romero, fixed the problem. While at the house, Kevin checked the system for water filtration and softening and found it not to be working correctly. Kevin provided me quotes for fixing the filtration system and upon my deciding which option to pursue the part was ordered for delivery the next business day. Kevin returned to install the part and enable the water filtration and softener system to work effectively. Kevin was personable, efficient and extremely professional. They were able to get plumbers to my house on the day I called. They were upfront about costs. That's the kind of plumber service that one hopes for. My water softener up and died and spilled a ton of resin into all of my pipes. All the water turned orange. I called a couple other places, but they were busy and recommended Maurici Plumbing. Thank goodness they were able to send two plumbers to my house to clear out all the resin. I called at about 3:45 PM. By 4:30 PM, they were there, and they spent the next 3 hours going through my whole house and flushing out pipes and replacing jammed toilet parts (that resin is crazy). They were nice and polite. They explained the final bill to me and gave me advice about other plumbing issues. I had somewhat of a strange case for using The Clean Plumbers. I had a plumber I trusted that I was using through another home repair company. It turns out that he was their only plumber and he quit! The company I trust was referring their plumbing jobs to The Clean Plumbers until they could hire a new plumber. I know that they would only refer to a quality company. I did some quick research and liked what I saw about The Clean Plumbers. They are affiliated with the Better Business Bureau and have an A+ record. They also have been in business for decades. My tech showed up when he was supposed to. He wore a mask while inside and was quite efficient. I had a repair that was covered by the manufacturer's warranty. Even though The Clean Plumbers didn't install the equipment it wasn't an issue that I wasn't paying for the repair. I feel I actually got a plumber upgrade because The Clean Plumbers are available 24/7 for emergencies. I hope I don't need to make use of that but it's nice to know it's available. read more

This was a second trip to our home to see what may have been causing blockage in our pipes since we have bubbling sounds in our toilets. The plumber (Adam) advised that it could be something in the main line on the first trip. We had him come back out in an attempt to fix the problem so he did the camera on the main line to figure out what was causing the blockage. There was gunk and buildup based on the camera view and said jetting would fix the problem but they don't provide that service. He charged us $551 and went about his business m. This would've been a good disclaimer upfront to the homeowner. I now have to call another plumbing company to do the jetting. read more

The Clean Plumbers came out and gave an estimate for a big sewage pipe replacement job, after starting the job there was an obstacle and the job could not be completed however Paul helped us solve our problem at no charge and connected us with someone who had the equipment to get what we needed done without having to remodel the bathroom to get the plumbing fixed!!! They are very good and honest company and they have been family owned and in Tampa fir a long time. Great company! read more

Terrible company, they're essentially crooks. I do NOT recommend the Clean Plumbers!!! They botched the installation of a brand new State water heater and refuse to take responsibility for anything. The technicians were not careful during the attic installation. They wanted to charge for knocking away parts of the wooden stairwell leading up to the attic rather than simply lifting the unit through the removable panel in the ceiling (that should have been my first red flag from them. I shouldn't have to point out the obvious to a professional plumber....). In coming to address the issues that arose with the unit, they failed to identify the problem/s after several attempted fixes. They are blaming the brand new water heater unit itself. How convenient...We researched State water heaters before buying one and they have a good reputation, even the Clean Plumber technician said they're almost always solid. It seems much likely to me that the Clean Plumbers workers would have banged something in the unit around (the electrical wiring, the nozzles, pipes, etc.) when lifting it into the attic and into place. They seemed to struggle and I remember it made so much noise that I was concerned that they weren't being careful. By the way, the Clean Plumbers were the ones who mentioned picking out our own water heater to save money, but did NOT mentioning that they would later use that as a reason to not take responsibility for problems nor as a reason to not warranty their labor. It's also worth noting that the water heater company is willing to refund the product, if it's found to be defective, so the only company not willing to take liability so far is The Clean Plumbers. They tried to charge us ANOTHER 1100$ to do the same job again...and there's no evidence that it wouldn't simply fail yet again, given that they made the initial problem worse. When speaking with the manager or owner, I was calm but assertive, whereas he got mad and hung up. He was extremely unprofessional. I'll be having an objective third party investigate what is wrong and then I'll be pursuing the relevant arbitration and/or legal action to receive a refund for this poorly done job. These trade companies never seem to take responsibility for their work in recent years. I've noticed it's a growing problem. They need to be held accountable by consumers, in the same way we all would be if we messed up our own jobs. If they had any sense of customer service at all, they would have apologized that we're lacking hot water (they never expressed any apology or concern) and tried to, at minimum, generate ideas to arrive at an amicable resolution. read more
