Devina is one of the most dedicated teachers I have known. Under her instruction, my daughter has learned how to use various types of paint, mediums, techniques, and has been able to really surface the deep love for art she had inside. She always has that brilliant smile at the end of every class with an end product, which is quite priceless! Devina also does corporate events and special events like birthdays - we invited her to do a lesson for my daughter and her friends for her birthday (Andy Warhol's donuts). What a super cool outcome that was! In addition to art, Devina also teaches public speaking, which has helped my daughter understand how to write outlines, make better arguments, reduce filler words and project better body language. She has brought home BEAUTIFUL artwork that we hang and use. Parking is easy to find. Its a one hour and fifteen min class every Tuesday and plans to open more sessions. Working with The Clay and Paper Program has been one of the highlights of my year! I am amazed at how Ms. Devina has utilized her skills + network during such an uncertain situation (imagine having to rethink the way your business works during COVID-19 closures!) and has added a new "virtual" component to her already AWESOME program! The Clay and Paper has very dedicated teachers who can focus on each child with so much patience. My daughter has been attending art classes quite sometime now. She enjoys the classes so much and I am seeing so much improvement in her art. Teacher is very patient and makes sure all kid get necessary attention even with Zoom classes. We also took up public speaking classes with them and it helped my kids so much with her presentation skills and built more confidence. I tried several art classes for my 5-yr old art-loving daughter before we settled on The Clay and Paper, and I must say we've had an excellent experience so far! Ms. Sujana is an awesome teacher, who is very patient with the kids, and ensures all kids catch up and understand what they are drawing and how it needs to be done. The virtual experience on Zoom is great and is working well for us. She also introduces fun projects each week, and includes a variety of media like acrylic paint, watercolors, pencils, crayons, etc. The pricing is also very reasonable for the quality of the classes. I had to help my daughter in the first few classes and now she's pretty independent like the other kids, and works on her own with Ms. Sujana. Ms. Devina, the owner, also lets us try other classes from time to time and we are considering the public speaking and other classes at this time. Clay and paper has been a savior and blessing in tough times for moms like me. It has brought so such positivity and fun into my kids summer time and continues to do so. My kid has been in various classes provided by them and has enjoyed the learnings, the interactions with the teachers and other kids. The teachers are excellent!! They have been so patient with little kids and also very very engaging. The summer camps were excellent!! Science camps, public speaking, art camp and also book clubs. I really enjoyed the adult art class I took during covid we had a weekly zoom class and it was a lot of fun! I have never taken a painting class before and so this was my first time. I am pretty disappointed in my experience with Clay and Paper today. We had prepaid for our child's class from March to the end of May. The last day was to be held on Monday, which was Memorial's Day. There were no prior communications saying that there was going to be no class held on Memorial day. The teacher texted ONLY 5 days prior asking us to join on Friday to make up since the parents wanted a long weekend. We can't participate on Fridays since my child has singing and piano so I texted her back to ask if we can make up on Tuesday or any other day to make up for the canceled class on Memorial Day. They said they were starting summer camp so won't have anything available for make-up. So, if they canceled a class and only offer 1 option for make-up which we couldn't make, I requested for a refund for that day. That's pretty simple and fair, right?. But they wouldn't honor my request. The teacher Miss Sunjana called me back and told me that the class was canceled because the parents all agreed to have the class on Friday so that they can have a longer weekend. Well, as a paying customer I didn't agree. We would've still participated in the class on Monday but the teacher proceeded to say that she was not going to host the class for only one child while the 8 others were on Friday. Well, if you weren't going continue to host a class and couldn't offer us anything else then it is right for us to request and receive that refund. The teacher then raised her voice and brought up about my child missing a class and how they were accommodating my child when she missed her class compared to other palces. I AM NOT ASKING FOR A REFUND FOR THAT MISSED CLASS, JUST THE CLASS THAT WAS CANCELED ON US. And furthermore, it's part of your school that we are able to make up a class as long as its within 7 days so don't turn and twist this around. We have our child in other programs and activities and they are very professional and accommodating for flexible schedules as well. One even refunded us for not having anything available on their schedule for one week. I can't believe she had the audacity to shift things on us. I would've continued my child to take their courses as we have been since December and even referred a friend. After their rude and unprofessional response, we will never come back. They need to learn how to communicate and provide better customer service to their clients. I am a small business owner too, and this is not how you deal or treat your customers. It's not about the money, but it's about the principle. Response to Devina- "mind you this client was on vacation" seriously? I was at home. When did I ever say I was on vacation? Would you like me to screen shot our conversation? Or do you like to lie and make up things? Like I said they like to shift things on us. Prior to signing up, I explained about my work schedule and asked if you guys were flexible. you guys said we we can make the classes within a week. So it's not like you guys are doing us a favor. So unprofessional Devina. And no we didn't start in November. just horrible. I can provide screen shots and payment records for your memory. If you had a problem if we notified you few hours before her missed class then you should've said something! You never set that expectation either about when to notify if we were going to miss a class. Apparently since you had set no expectations, everyone was doing it so don't bash on US for it what you've been allowing it.Your message state you guys are flexible to not attend classes last minute and allow make for the week. "We had all other parents that made up. Unlike other classes, we allow parents the flexibility to not attend classes last minute- and come for a make up class within the week . Also unlike other classes, we do not charge on holidays. Despite no show sometimes from Students for our regular classes, we as a company still give a week's notice for our announcements. We accommodate every student's requests and we did that this time as welll" You are a PATHOLOGICAL LIAR. I asked if there's make up on Tuesday because you guys canceled on Monday. Like I said, the teacher said she's not going to teach just for one child. The teacher even said she's not going to refund because refund is something you guys don't do and never had to refund. Now you're changing your response below and say you guys offer refund over and over again. Oh and FYI per your policy under TERMS & CONDITIONS #8, you guys have the right to cancel and class and notify us, but we have the rights to claim the refund. Know your own policy. And you stated you prorated because we missed a class? Lady- I didn't even confirm to continue with the classes yet, so how can we missed something we didn't agree or paid. Devina- You're horribly unprofessional. Instead of making up LIES,BLAMING & BASHING on your clients(which is wrong and disgusting as a human being and business owner)you need to learn to reach out to make things right . read more

My son attended the science and art virtual camp of Clay and Paper from July -August 2020.He thoroughly enjoyed the camps and had fun in each and every session. The science teachers made the experiments so much fun along with learning. I LOVE this class! My daughter- 8 now has been taking art classes for years and this is by far the best one she has done. Each week my daughter has the opportunity to work on a new technique or art form and comes home with a beautifully designed piece. These pieces are ones I am excited to hang or put on display. Devina is a super talented artist herself and it comes through in the projects she designs and how she caters each project to match the child's ability.
