We had a disastrous experience with Art and Soul Dance over the last year…read more Coming from a great studio to Art and Soul, we had the following observations. The owners are not open to feedback. If you provide feedback, your child is likely to be cut from dances or have their role limited. The owners of this studio focus more on emotionally traumatizing their dancers than teaching them skills. It was not uncommon for dances to change at the last second before competitions leading dancers to be unsure and nervous going onstage. Calling out dancers in front of their peers to do better was also not uncommon. The owners will tell you whatever you want to hear to sign up including what classes they offer. This will change once the season starts. Teacher turnover is high here. The one teacher we felt was strong, the ballet teacher, has moved on. We have had to ask the studio multiple times for pins earned and judge feedback from competitions. They refused to provide them. We question the accounting at this studio. All payments are made out personally to the owner. This seems odd for a business and we were never quite sure of the accounting. If you are looking for a studio that builds up your child's confidence and love of dance, this is not it. If you are looking for a studio where the owners are approachable and open to feedback, this is not it. If you are looking for a studio that is chaotic, mismanaged and where your child comes home questioning if they want to dance anymore, this is probably the studio for you. I would caution anyone looking to put their child in dance at Art and Soul to do lots of research and look past the positive reviews that will be fabricated to bury this one.

It is truly amazing what these youngsters are capable of doing. Not only are they doing many of the typical acts one associates with the circus(tightrope walking, juggling, aerials, unicycle and bicycling feats, high flying on trapezes), but they are incredibly strong. Both the boys and the girls are able to swing from trapeze bars and hold on to other performers who spin and twirl high above the circus floor or catch a performer flying through the air. The boy who pedaled the bike was strong enough to carry 5 other performers who did handstands while in motion. It's a wonderful show put on by school children. Bright costumes and great music! The show is 2 1/2 hours, including a brief intermission.

What I don't understand is why we couldn't receive a refund for the $325 first week of care when no care was provided and we gave more than a week's notice. From what we were told, the facility was not fully booked either. What bothered us most was the lack of empathy from the office and ownership. We weren't asking for anything unreasonable--we were dealing with an unexpected change in our family's financial situation and simply hoped the facility would work with us. Instead, the response felt very corporate and like the policy mattered more than the circumstances. I also came across another review mentioning a similar experience with the owners, which unfortunately made us feel like this may be a pattern. When we're ready to look for childcare again, we'll be choosing a facility that we feel genuinely cares about the families and children they serve, not just the money. Unfortunately, based on our experience, we cannot recommend this facility.

I'm a first time mom and very picky about who is with my child while I'm at work during the day. I…read moreused to teach two year olds in preschool and I know how hard it is for an establishment to keep the numbers at the state standards. We have had THE BEST experience with the Goddard School. I enrolled my son in the infant classroom when he was around 9 months old. The growth and learning my child saw within the first month was unbelievable! He was doing baby sign language to tell us he wanted "more" milk, or food before he could even crawl. It was amazing. The dedication each of the teachers has for each child is unlike any other I have ever seen. We stayed with them until he was 1 when we ran into some financial issues. This school is pretty pricey, but it's worth every cent. They worked with me to try and keep us there, and I wish we could have stayed. Unfortunately, I had to take him out for almost a year. It was very sad. Then life went back up again and we were able to take him back to school part time. They remembered his name, my name, my husbands name, and even the cars we drove. Diane and Josh are so super nice, and just overall good people. Ms. Jasmine is too (My son LOVES her). Going back was a relief. I never worried about him being okay, and they always kept the lines of communication open to us. Ms. Liza and Ms. Quinn were amazing and got my son back up to speed in no time. My son is two now and potty training in Ms. Debbie and Ms. Jessica's classroom. They have been nothing but supportive and have always been there to answer any questions I may have in terms of what's normal behavior, how he is advancing, and just to giggle about the silly things he does. He even speaks spanish now too! Every day I receive a report that breaks down the different things they have done that day and what part of development it's for. They also break down how much lunch he ate, how long he napped, and his potty habits. There is even a little section where they write a sweet little moment my child had during the day: "Today (child) had so much fun kicking the soccer ball to his friends! He kept on yelling go team go!" Honestly, it's the best school in the area. I wouldn't dream of taking my child anywhere else. He's excited to go to school. He's excited to learn. He doesn't cry when we get there, he was immediately comfortable when taking him back after the break. I am so thankful for The Goddard School and what they have done for me and my family. All of the teachers there are amazing and so good with each age group. We are lucky to have a school like this!

Prior to signing up, I made multiple attempts to call and get information, but no one answered the phone. That lack of communication left me with very little guidance, yet I still chose to move forward and register, trusting your studio's reputation. Unfortunately, that trust has only been met with confusion and poor customer service. I wasn't given proper direction from the beginning, and now I'm being told I'm essentially locked into a credit for future classes -- when, based on my experience so far, I have no desire to return unless I choose to. I also want to be transparent that the person representing your studio showed little care or concern during my interactions. That reflects directly on your business, and I'll be sure to share my experience with any parent who may ask for my opinion moving forward. Additionally, I'm not sure why the message keeps being pushed that your summer classes are full or have waitlists and that's why you cannot refund . When you call the recording states your still taking summer students and I actually just went to your website and it still shows summer sign-ups as open and is allowing me to sign up as a new student to all of those classes my daughter was in?!!! With that said, I respectfully decline any credits and do not wish to be locked into your programs. I believe the fair thing would be a full refund, considering the circumstances. Please let me know how you plan to proceed.
