Our dryer wasn't drying the clothes reliably and this was the culprit. They worked most of the morning to remove the existing piping and replace with a sturdier, more efficient option. Our dryer now works much better. Jim's a nice guy, very knowledgeable and kept me informed throughout the morning about what was going on He even pointed out problems with the old piping that was the heart of our issues. They cleaned up after themselves and wore booties to not track in and out. Nice. I'm happy with the work done and highly recommend them for dryer vent replacement...though I'm sure the fixed my problem for many years to come.

North Shore Chimney and Fireplace exceeded expectations in all ways. When I first reached out to…read morethem, I was nervous: everyone with an older home hears horror stories about chimney repair. Barrett really surprised me when he told me that my chimney was in good order, and only a minor sweeping was necessary (I hadn't had it cleaned in 6 years). We then discussed our options for converting our fireplace from natural wood burning to gas, and it was surprisingly affordable. He offered to remove his boots as he went to investigate our leaking issues surrounding our chimney. He took thorough pictures and notes on the issues and encouraged me to reach out to the roofers we used over the summer. I felt respected, heard, and he not only quoted me, but offered to help me navigate next steps with the roofers who need to fix said problems. Because of his professionalism and kindness, I would absolutely recommend him to others and will keep this company in mind for any other needs. If our roofers refuse to complete the job and repair said issues, we will absolutely use QF&CS. I wish I would've had them do this originally!

Charged $704 and no cleaning. I was suspicious so i called our builder who recommended another company. As the other reviews on this page note, i was told by the 2nd company there was no damage and no need for any relining. To add insult to inury they tried to tell me that "relining" isnt as good as replacing the "whole chimney" for $35,000. The 2nd company said that there was no need for any repair but if there were, a relining was about $1,600. This is fraud. And if they say we aren't listed as a customer as apparently they do, I will post the invoice and the charge. Beware.

The first time, my husband called & left a message that we wanted an estimate on a new roof & gutters. A week went by & no one called back. She was very nice, apologized & said someone must have erased the message in error. She told me someone would be out to measure, & that we would receive an estimate in the mail. Good thing we didn't have our hearts set on this company, because that was about 6 weeks ago & we never heard back nor did we receive any estimate. Of course we found another company who was more than happy to accept our business. Maybe a $10,000 job is nothing to a roofing company - but word of mouth is everything!
