Did you know that there are no physical stores in Manhattan that have a decent selection of boys suits? Well, now you do. I'm a single mom of two boys, ages 11 and 13. Buying their first suit is a big milestone - often a father/ son moment. That just wasn't in the cards for us, but working with Barry at Lubin's was the next best thing. He was patient, had a great sense of humor, connected with my boys, knew what he was doing, and was nonplussed that I was there 10 days before my son's bar mitzvah looking for a suit. He spent almost 2 hours with us, way past closing time, and even took the time to teach my boys how to tie a tie. 5 days later, we came back to pick up the tailored suits and pressed shirts. Barry remembered our names right away and the suits were perfect. I could not have asked for a better suit buying experience for my boys. Thank you, Barry! What a gem.

Truly, I was so desperate,I had went to Brooks Brothers...even they couldn't properly fit him! I really didn't want to spend $500 plus..for a growing child.! I need the suit in less then a week..In desperation, I went to a store in another county, which was recommended by my friend. Within five minutes,they had fit my son with a selection of beautiful suits,shirts,ties. My son is husky (preteen) and I wanted something classic,yet stylish & youthful. The the knowledge & professionalism was above my expectations ! I have never felt compelled to write a review,but this store has everything you need,selection,knowledge,tailor on site, a staff with impeccable taste..I met the owner Barry,who was also so kind,helpful & hands on..I didn't even realize he was the owner. I wish more businesses were like them!!! They've made a customer for life!

I'm laughing as I write...90% of my shopping is done online. ALL of these retailers will be gone in…read morethe very near future. Brick and mortar is done. Toast. I honestly don't understand how anybody walks into a store these days to make a purchase? Must be the baby boomer market holding on for dear life. I haven't purchased a "wearable item" from a physical store...in about 17 years. However, my wife convinced me to try The Rack. I was pleasantly surprised. She went her way, I went my way, we met in the middle after 2 hours. The store was crowded and the customers were carelessly shoving unwanted items anywhere. Think Fordham Road meets the Westchester Mall. It's an eclectic mix. The employees, were diligent in trying to keep things in order. I'd be dropping F bombs at these customers. Pigs. I was also pleasantly surprised that an employee approached my wife and I, as we struggled to carry all of our finds, and brought us a cart to make it easier. Really? Wow! Excellent service. I wish I knew her name. Dare I say this...I'll be back! Loved everything we purchased and we saved a bunch of money on designer duds. I'd give 5 stars however...there was an employee drunk in the ladies shoe section. I felt bad for her but she was wasted. Smelled like a bar and kept asking if we needed help. Very nice but confused. At least she wasn't an angry drunk. Still, shouldn't be drinking while working...not a good optic. Had a great experience and will be back each season. Wow, brick and mortar captured my share of wallet...in 2017! That's impressive!

I recently visited Nordstrom Rack at City Center with my sister while she went to pick up an online…read moreorder, and unfortunately the customer service was very disappointing. We were not greeted upon entering, and when my sister approached the register to ask about her pickup order, the employee behind the counter seemed completely uninterested in helping. After my sister explained she had received the pickup email about two weeks ago, the employee immediately said orders are automatically refunded after one week if not picked up. She didn't even bother checking to see if the order might still be there. On top of that, the store itself felt very dim and dingy. The lighting was poor, and several pieces of luggage on display looked dirty and used, especially the wheels. Overall, not a pleasant shopping experience and unfortunately not a place I would return to.

I placed an order for a Nuna car seat from The Piccolina Shop on May 31, 2025 after seeing it…read morelisted as available on their website. My credit card was charged immediately and I received an order confirmation. For several months, the car seat never shipped. During that time, communication from the shop initially seemed reassuring. Up until around January, I did receive responses, but each time I was given a different explanation for why the order was delayed and was repeatedly promised that it would ship soon. Over the course of these conversations, I was told the delay was due to things like tariffs, updated product codes, the color being in high demand, and other supply issues. Each time I was told it should ship in the next few weeks or months. Unfortunately, the item still never shipped. After months of waiting and repeated promises that were never fulfilled, communication eventually stopped altogether. I was left with no real resolution and ultimately had to dispute the charge with my credit card company in order to recover my money. After looking into this further, I found that other customers have reported similar experiences online. My advice to anyone considering ordering from this business is to proceed with extreme caution. Charging customers immediately for products that are never shipped and repeatedly delaying with new explanations is extremely frustrating and unacceptable. They claim to reopen in 2027. I hope they never reopen at all. Happy ending: I was able to order the Nuna car seat in the Biscotti color from a reputable retailer once it was back in stock, and it arrived quickly and exactly as promised. I only wish I could get back the months I spent chasing updates and excuses from The Piccolina Shop about why my order hadn't shipped yet. Thankfully my credit card company stepped in and refunded the charge during the dispute process. Lesson learned: I'll be sticking with reputable retailers who actually deliver the products they sell.
