Did you know that there are no physical stores in Manhattan that have a decent selection of boys suits? Well, now you do. I'm a single mom of two boys, ages 11 and 13. Buying their first suit is a big milestone - often a father/ son moment. That just wasn't in the cards for us, but working with Barry at Lubin's was the next best thing. He was patient, had a great sense of humor, connected with my boys, knew what he was doing, and was nonplussed that I was there 10 days before my son's bar mitzvah looking for a suit. He spent almost 2 hours with us, way past closing time, and even took the time to teach my boys how to tie a tie. 5 days later, we came back to pick up the tailored suits and pressed shirts. Barry remembered our names right away and the suits were perfect. I could not have asked for a better suit buying experience for my boys. Thank you, Barry! What a gem.

Management was very disrespectful to me when I came in to return something. Nasty, more like it…read more I was gifted a long sleeved shirt that was too small for my son. With tags on and everything, (and still early February- plenty of winter left), she wouldn't let me return it because it was past the 30 day policy. She said it was marked at 50%. So I offered to only exchange it for some other long sleeved shirt on the 50% off rack but one that would actually fit my son. "We're a small business, we can't do that." I tried everything to be reasonable and she, in my opinion, was not, particularly for a small business looking to make it in a small community. I'll take my small business support elsewhere and you should too. Who needs to pay for overpriced clothing when you're treated like this by management?

Terrible experience today after many years of using this store! My son cleaned out his drawers and…read morecloset to make way for newer, bigger clothes. We agreed that he could keep the money from OUAC. I called the store this morning and asked specifically if there were ANY RESTRICTIONS on buying today because we live 40 miles away and its about an hour drive each way. I was told that the only restriction was that they stop buying at 5pm. It was 11am and we were on our way. We waited almost 2-hours for his $27. Only when we returned did they share that they were only able to review 2-bags, which was their limit on busy days. I expressed concern that I had called specifically asking about restrictions and was told that there weren't any. The "Manager" came over, shared that she took my call and while we did discuss restrictions, I did not share that we had 3-bags. I tried to explain what the word "restriction" means, to no avail. I implored her to review the other bag, most of which were unworn clothes with tags. I also pointed to many other people who had HUGE bins, much larger than our 3-grocery bags. She said I could return tomorrow. I explained that todays trip was a one hour, each way, and nearly a 2hr wait. I have a full time job and we won't have another 4-hours tomorrow. She walked away. I am so sorry for my awful experience today and even more sorry for my little guy who worked SO VERY HARD yesterday getting all of that stuff together. I did this for him and unfortunately, OUAC in Scarsdale ruined it. Save yourselves. Go to OUAC in Danbury. We will never return to OUAC Scarsdale.
