We ended up leaving because despite having had such a long time with the school, it became obvious to us at the end that we weren't valued as a family and that our little one wasn't truly seen as a whole person. We had one child start in the Bambini (baby) room just before COVID, went back after COVID and continued all the way through until starting Kindergarten. We had another child that spent a couple years here before just leaving this year. On a whole, Aspirations feels like a Instagram dreamspace - the Emilio Reggio style learning emphasizes the environment and it truly shows. As a parent, you know your child is surrounded by beauty. The art show feels special (although you eventually come to realize how much "teacher guidance" the final auction pieces actual reflect). The gala is also exciting and fun (when it happens). The playground is spacious and beautiful. Our years through Aspirations meant our kids have been in almost every room and in reflection there were great teachers and there were so-so ones and almost every year there was at least some unexpected teacher turn-over in the middle of the year. We ended up leaving because the first time we had any issues, we were surprised at the inflexibility of the administration and unwillingness to work with us. We requested that our little stay with friends in transitioning to a new class, shared the difficult family/life events that were affecting her and had the admin team tell us that they were not going allow her to change classes that despite the fact that the requested class was not yet being filled (they wanted to keep spots open for newer families/kids). Additionally, they weren't even willing to come up with a alternative plan (ie she could move to that class if someone transitioned out). The finality of "administrator knows best" was a slap in the face and made us finally look around and realize that this was one of the most expensive schools around, does not provide lunch, and its premium for the "extended care" (4-5pm where all extended care kids get placed with another teacher for that last hour, sometimes a different one daily) was not the standard everywhere.

We enrolled Jan 2023, first day he comes home, my child had scratches on his face, we get a OUCH report tell us of a mishap or injury occurred, this is the schools procedure to keep the parents informed. As days go by, we received DAILY injury reports, a scratch, a bite, a bruise, slowly the Boo-boo/ouch reports stopped, but the injuries continued, we asked for a meeting with the head teacher she informed us their care plans of Ratio to students will be smaller, and a better & closer supvision will be monitored, I informed the teacher if the roles were reversed and a child comes to school with unexplained injuries the school would probably call DCSF, I am concern ! Am I leaving my baby to be abused in a Christian school, the "stigma" sets in. It's a month later and my gut a roaring! trying to tell me something, today i hung out and for a good 10 mins and yes I am monitoring the time, there is NO teacher supervising the play ground, I discovered they are on side the bldg tucked away talking to a New Employee, today I observed six kids rough housing on the playground with injuries!, how many other children are being neglected. Enough is enough granted they are affordable but now I can understand why. I've taken a picture still debating to post, granted I can blur out the faces. I listen to my gut and pulled my son out, we NO Longer attends this daycare. Trust your instincts.

The teachers go above and beyond every single day--learning each child's personality, celebrating their little milestones, and creating such a safe and joyful environment. Ms. Lisset, Ms. Miranda, Ms. Susie, and Ms Renee, just to name a few, were absolutely wonderful!! Our child has grown so much socially, emotionally, and academically since starting here. The activities are thoughtful and fun, the communication with parents is excellent, and the classroom feels like a second home. I love seeing the photos and updates throughout the day--it's so reassuring to know our little one is not just being cared for, but truly loved. The facility is clean, organized, and full of engaging materials that keep the kids excited to learn and explore. Drop-off is always smooth because our child runs in with a huge smile--what more could a parent ask for? The teachers are always there to discuss how her day went and responsive if I have a question on the chat to them during the day. She loves all the outdoor time and has been making and maintaining close friendships since she arrived. The school let me throw a foam party for the kids for my daughter's birthday. The teachers organised it, notified the parents, managed clean up. Simply because they knew the kids would love it. They accomodate my requests for her food and keep special treats seperate as I am specific about what she eats. The teachers do things weekly not just for $$ but because the kids will adore it. It's all so very fun and wonderful, growing caterpillars, learning about dinosaurs and the world, planting things and trying science experiments. The experiences kids should have. We love, love, love El Camino and as she is going to Kinder soon we are sad to have to leave. I trust the teachers completely and have a happy daughter coming home everyday. She really takes the time to personally get to know not only the kids, but their parents as well. Her teachers have taken the time to encourage and support her through so many important milestones--from learning to crawl, to walking, talking, and becoming more independent. When I first went back to work, my daughter was only 9 months old. Like many of you, I found out…read morequickly that most daycares only start at 1 year old, and spots were hard to come by. Out of desperation, I pounced on the first opening I found at KinderCare. I'll forever regret that decision. The assistant director even told me, "KinderCare isn't known for those crazy child abuse stories." And I believed her, without doing my own research. A simple search would have proven her wrong before I signed my daughter up. From the start, it was obvious my baby hated being there -- and it wasn't just separation from me. The staff seemed burned out, and my little girl was left to cry alone in corners. She would scream in relief when I picked her up, and she gave me that heartbreaking "mommy, where were you?" look. She came home with marks on her multiple times. Every time I asked, I got the same runaround: "no one saw what happened" or "another child pushed her." The worst was when I noticed her pacifier clipped awkwardly in the center of her chest. Later, during bath time, I found a bruise in the exact spot. When I called, the story shifted again -- from "no one knows" to "another child pushed her that morning." I knew in my heart it was more than that. The thought of an adult being frustrated and snapping the clip onto her chest still breaks me. I pulled her out after just three weeks -- three weeks too long. She's at a new center now, and the difference is night and day. She's happy to go to school, and of course happy to see me at pick-up, but not with that same fear and sadness in her eyes. The entire staff are so calm and sweet, the playground is amazing, they have so many awesome toys, and offer art and activities for the kids everyday. They also make holidays so fun and special for the kids. I wish I would have sent my older son here too. There are so many preschools to choose from in Carlsbad, but this one is really centered around the kids and I am just so pleased with the entire experience. I will miss this sweet school when my son goes to TK next year.

Also, consider this a nurturing place for all children! I see first hand how they handle the children and teach remind them how to be kind to friends. I am so glad we decided to send her to daycare instead because I can tell she has really thrived. She has learned many songs, words, manners, and to clean up her toys! The amount she has learned from being around other children is invaluable. She is only a young toddler, but when she gets home from school she excitedly tells me her friends names, or sometimes shows off art projects she made. It makes me feel good that I know she is somewhere that makes her happy and she is also learning. Not sure about the guy with the lead post below, and I honestly panicked a bit after seeing that. I did some research and looks like that was one faucet in the whole building, it has been placed out of order since finding that out, kids have a different water source now, and there is a new director since then. I have no concerns about my daughters safety while she is there. I fully trust the staff with my child's needs. It is conveniently located on almost the border of Vista and Oceanside, which works great for us.
