Kielbasa close up. Should have gotten it as I look at my photos.

Located inside the Columbus Market right outside the Amish market. Which I did not buy anything from the Amish market. But they are killing it in that market. You name it and they working it. Finally got here. According to Google, this place sells some of the best fried chicken in NJ. So getting take-out to see for me. And a cool yelper I hope she does not mind my shouting her out named Allie reviewed the chicken as excellent and gave them 4 stars. Sorry Allie, I had to give them 5 because the staff was really friendly and though busy took the extra time to answer all my questions about the deep-fried Kielbasa. It looked so good. But that's way too much-fried food for me. But definitely next time. There was few people (8) when I got to the stand. Picked up my order, walked around, and returned and the Chicken coop had about 20 people in line. That was in about 20 mins that I walked around. I picked up a 3 piece of chicken with 2 sides. JoJos (potatoes) and sweet potatoes. Planned to eat it at home. But it was hot and fresh and I took a walk break to try this chicken. First, the JoJos was mad good. I mean so freaking good. Big potatoes and flavor. The yams I almost ate all of the after-tasting a fork full. And the chicken was juicy on the inside, with golden crisp skin but not greasy, and had good flavor. Now, what determines the best-fried chicken? I can not say. But I can say this will rank very high on my list.

Came here on a Friday afternoon and there's already a line forming at this restaurant. Everything looked great from the fried gizzard, to the various pieces of fried chicken. You can pick from thighs, breasts, or wings. We opted for the wings, jojos, and mac and cheese. Everything was very tasty, although the chicken pieces and the jojos wasn't as crunchy as I hoped. Probably because it was sitting around in a pile and got steamed. The wings are huge and not your everyday normal wings. Three wings can feed a hungry dude.

This place doesn't miss! Chicken wings breasts biscuits potato spuds kielbasa chicken gizzards home made ranch top to bottom they can do no wrong! Take a ticket and wait whatever time you need to because it'll be worth it when they call your number. A must stop when I'm at the flea market, and if I'm being honest, this place is a big reason why I keep coming back.

Honestly I don't understand the hype. Got a platter and the chicken was room temperature at best, the Mac and cheese was cold and so congealed it looked like it was mixed with cottage cheese and had no flavor at all. It was more like buttered noodles instead of Mac and cheese. It's not like it was sitting out either as I sat right down immediately to eat it. The best thing about the platter was the biscuit. It was fluffy on the inside and not dry at all. If you like fast food it reminded me of KFC's biscuits. The chicken finger was also pretty good but not for $2 and change per piece. Hit and a miss for me.

    The famous jojos potatoes!

The chicken coop, I've known you for a very long time. My mom used to have a little scrub shop waaay before the renovation with the food court. You guys always have the best fried chicken, gizzards, kielbasa, and of course the jojos potatoes. I always spend quite a bit of money here because I'm not here every week. So to compensate for that, I usually get a 1-2 lbs of jojos, several pieces of fried chicken, probably a pound of gizzards, and sometimes a good hunk of the kielbasa. When my fiance (the vegetarian) wants some jojos and a side. I opt to go for the "family meal" which is a good amount of pieces of chicken, 1 and a half lbs of jojos, and a large side. Recently, they expanded across the hall and now have the Coop Cafe! You can get breakfast sandwiches and chicken sandwiches. They also have ice cream and shakes.

The Woods Ice Cream Shop is a quaint little shop in Rancocas Woods serving up milkshakes and ice…read morecream treats. While it's primarily a walk up spot with very little interior area, there are seats outside where you can enjoy your purchase. Service (5/5) is incredibly friendly, and they're more than happy to chat with you and sample any ice cream flavors you want to try out. They serve Bassett's ice cream, which runs out of Philadelphia and boast themselves as America's oldest ice cream brand. While I hadn't tried out their ice cream before, I took a look at several cartons of their ice cream and was quite surprised at how many ingredients they had, including fillers and preservatives. The ingredient list was less of a mom & pop local ice cream, and more along the lines of a mass market processed ice cream brand. I tried their cookies and cream ice cream (3.5/5), which was decent, but wasn't as rich in texture as I usually like my ice cream to be. Perhaps I just chose the wrong flavor, but wasn't overly impressed with my first experience with Bassett's ice cream. While I loved the shop itself and the employees, I wasn't sold on Bassett's ice cream personally, but would recommend them to others seeking an ice cream treat while visiting Rancocas Woods.
