The theatre was pretty easy to find and parking in the area was simple to find for the 2pm showing. The theatre is under renovation currently and all proceeds from ticket sales go towards the renovations. No 3 Tattoo sponsored the event and was raffling off a sweet swag basket and lo & behold my ticket won! My Dad was very nostalgic and had a great time, so did my Mom & I. The theatre will be amazing once restorations are complete. They are having a year long film series and I hope to stop by here again to support a great cause. When it's done, at 1,000 seats, it will be the largest performance space between Tacoma and Portland. COME! Sampled some garlic lemonade, it was ok but I know I will never order this again in my lifetime. Visited all the booths of the regional garlic farmers. The rest of the fest included booths that one might find at a Saturday farmers market, leaning heavily on the crafts part. It was not worth the 75 mile drive to the fest nor the $7/adult admission price. Never again. And I love garlic. Did not buy any garlic bulbs (these were $15-18/lb).

I also found out on the website that dogs were allowed as long as you filled out a waiver which was great news because we didn't want to leave our dogs alone. There was about one row of food booths that included some garlic and things to buy that really had nothing to do with garlic, but they were interesting. I bought a few small items such as handmade earrings and a dragon figurine. Inside the building, there were a lot more tables selling things, but once again only some of them had something to do with garlic. I bought a bag of garlic rub seasoning, which I can't wait to use at home. All in all, the price was not too bad and it was fun to look at the different items to buy. We were there a few hours and then went back to our campsite.

There are a large selection of really nice pumpkins, a great corn maze, pizza, elephant ears, hot dogs, fire pit, goblin egg slingshot game, and a very well done haunted forest. They put a lot of thought, time, and effort into this event and they have a lot of actors who do a great job of scaring guests. The line is long, but worth it. They create space between groups so you get your own surprises. If you like haunted venues, this was fun. Probably best for kids over 9-10 although younger kids were there. You can go through during the day when it is only props and no actors. Definitely worth the trip.

They are 100's of pumpkins, a nice fire pit with chairs, clean port-a-potties and wash station, Goblin Egg Sling, and plenty of parking. The staff are always friendly and helpful. I come out here every year! We loved cutting sunflowers, and each picked out a pumpkin or three. Our rule is you have to be able to carry it to the scale/car yourself... LOL! Fortunately I had a friend in line so I could take a break and go sit in the shade. I was waiting for him, but would go back every 15 minutes & he barely moved. I've stood in line before behind 20 people, but it has never taken me 90 minutes to get through. I'm being generous saying 90 minutes. It was a nightmare and ruined our whole night. You can go on the track and it is a great experience. Bathrooms are really accessible and I've never had to wait.

We absolutely LOVE the King Agriculture Museum and have been there multiple times! This is a…read morelittle gem of a place just east of the main downtown stretch of Centralia. Open seasonally during the summer, it's a place that you have to check out if you like getting an up-close and personal looksie at vintage farm equipment! Walking in, you enter their main "gift shop" type of room. In it, you will find all sorts of toys, models, and the like - including agriculture vehicles, trucks, construction vehicles, etc. The selection is vast and the pricing is varied, so there is something for everyone. Going through the back exit of that room takes you to the heart of the museum. It includes multiple large, high ceilinged rooms that house their enormous collection of farm equipment. The biggest collection includes tractors, but they've also got other types of equipment and vehicles too. Your visit has to take you outside through their backdoors and enjoy even more, larger pieces of equipment. Back there, your little ones will find a cute little play area that includes a dried bean-filled play table, "big-wheel" type tractors for them to pedal around, and a playground with vintage equipment (remember the old metal slides that burn your skin going down and leave a silver streak down your pants?). LOL! The staff is extremely kind and family friendly. They do not rush you through the visit, are patient with the kids, answer any questions you might have, and let you take your time. I have brought my boys here for almost just the purpose of looking at the models and playing in the back, and the ownership is totally cool with that. They love the fact that the kids like to experience the museum and look at what they have. Very cool, indeed. Their hours are Thursday - Sunday from 10:00am - 4:00pm during June - September. Free for kids 12 and under and only $6.00 for adults, this is an easy and inexpensive option for things to do. The only thing I wish they offered was a membership. Other museums in the area offer a yearly membership that gives you a free admission as one of the perks. Alas, they don't. But oh well. We'll still go there.

What a great experience and a gem of a place, here in downtown Chehalis! We had driven past it…read moremany times and never really stopped in. Decided to make the plunge a couple of weeks ago and boy am I glad we did! It is an old, renovated train station/depot building - that's now a museum to celebrate and remember the bygone eras of the towns and county. There are multiple displays and exhibits that highlight the many chapters of Lewis County's history and culture, from the time of Native Americans and early pioneers all the way to 1950's. It is filled with actual items from each era (tools, appliances, clothes, maps, merchandise, etc). It really does much to bring history alive and allow visitors to see with their own eyes, and not just in photographs, what people used and lived with. The highlight of the museum, though, is of course the trains! All the way towards the back of the building is a ginormous electric model train set! It's set up to mimic the geography and landscape of Lewis Co. and is so captivating. There are two separate sets and each actually work with the push of a button. There is also a medium sized wooden train set for the kids to enjoy. My two boys absolutely love it!! At just $5 per adult and free for the littles, it's a bargain! I highly recommend the Lewis County Historical Museum for a wonderful time with great fun and learnings for the whole family!!

Pearl Street in Centralia and they are open Wednesday - Sunday from 10:00am - 5:00pm (with the last admission at 4:15pm). Admission is $10/person. Now ... onto the review. My two boys love going here -- so much so, that we purchased a membership that has already paid for itself! We live in Centralia and had driven up to the children's museum in Olympia; and while that one is much, much bigger, it's wonderful to have a smaller version right here in town. The kids literally spend hours playing here and there's plenty to keep them engaged and having fun. Their favorites are the super large Wooden Train Layout and the massive collection of Legos! They go back and forth between those two centers and love imagining and building. Other play learning centers include a child-sized grocery store, veterinarian office, and TV camera station that superimposes the kids on a variety of backgrounds. There also are lots of dress up costumes to complete the scene. Additionally, there is a detailed science station complete with child-sized lab and a dinosaur dig table! Inside a barn-like structure, the kiddos can play a series of games in which the "keyboard" or controls are displayed on the floor and they need to step on images to play. Up front, there is a smaller toddler sized space with cushions and play things; and in the back there is a music room with a piano, percussion, and other instruments. The museum also hosts weekly Wacky Science Wednesdays, in which the kids can be a part of highly engaging learning activities that focus on a variety of science topics. Check out their website for more details and a list of events. Lastly, the staff are very friendly and focused on fun for the kids. Parking and accessibility is totally easy and they even offer rentals for family celebrations, homeschool groups, and birthday parties! One thing to note ... they do not allow food inside, so you'll need to head out for snacks or lunch. But, your admission is good for the day, so you can come back after eating. :-) I highly recommend the Discover! Children's Museum in Centralia! You won't regret it.
