We ended up going to this restaurant after searching for a good bowl of Vietnamese noodle soup in Manila and ended up choosing Pho bon due to location and pictures from Yelp. As we entered during lunch the place was fairly crowded but still managed to find a seat. The restaurant serves up bowls of pho, rice dishes, and even has Vietnamese Sandwiches. I ended up getting the pho with well done brisket and since I was super hungry that day I also chose the banh Mi bo kho which was Vietnamese beef stew with French bread. The food came out quick and was looking esquisite! The Pho was beautifully garnished with thinly sliced green onions, cilantro, and sliced white onions with slices of fatty brisket laying over a bed of wide pho noodles. The freshly cracked ground pepper aroma coming up below the piping hot broth got me really excited to try this Vietnamese dish while eating it in the Phillipines. I was also accomodated with fresh herbs of Thai basil, Corriander, and thin bean sprouts and a side dish of chili and hoison sauce with limes. The soup was light in broth but yet flavorful but I felt it was lacking in the fresh herbs and spices such as the star anise, cloves, cinnamon, and ginger. The noodles were cooked al dente and I enjoyed chewing on them while slurping the broth. The banh mi bo kho was also another great dish to eat while dipping the fresh Vietnamese French bread into the soup with the nice cuts of stewed beef and vegetables. The flavor was yet light but also had a great taste and I really enjoyed this dish as well. Overall great expierence eating here while the food was on point but yet had its differences but also tasty. Customer service was great and the prices were very affordable for famiy dining or just eating with a friend. I totally reccomend this place to anyone looking to eat Vietnamese food in PI while traveling here.

Choose from a variety of meats ranging from pork, beef or chicken. The more traditional pate is also available (my personal fave)! The sandwich begins with a crispy, crusty baguette, which they bake themselves, filled with your choice of meat. Then, they top it with shredded carrot, cucumber, cilantro, basil and pickled radish. The ingredients are ALWAYS fresh and the result is a very tasty sandwich! Tip: don't get the half size; get the full size! If it's your first time, try the large traditional banh mi. The large order is only Php99! They also offer Vietnamese coffee or Artichoke Iced Tea to go with your meal. If you're craving for a good bahn mi sandwich, visit this quiet little shop in San Antonio Village. Great place to grab take out and enjoy in the comfort of your home. :)

It has the simplest ingredients, but each was fresh and tasted of excellent quality. I also liked that they were very generous with the fillings. The bread was toasted crisp to perfection. I was also impressed the potato chips I ordered as a side to my sandwich didn't taste anything like the common junk potato chips we get at convenience stores. The dishes are a bit pricey but perhaps worth it.

If you break it down, you'll get at least 4 meals from McDonald's with that kind of money. The question that comes up next naturally is what exactly is this sandwich and is it worth it? Plaza Café just beside Greenbelt in Makati serves the Shrimp and Lobster Roll, which tops out at P695. While the amount seems eye-popping on paper, once you see it for yourself, you'll know where your money goes. They don't scrimp on the quality of ingredients. You actually get a whole sandwich overflowing with shrimps and lobster. There aren't many restaurants that serve this primarily because not too many people can afford it. The price is daunting, but you actually see and taste where your money goes. And as you'd expect, it tastes GOOD.
