It was quite late, and everything else was closed in the Promenade area last Saturday. Luckily, Tender Bob's was open. A friend had a craving for Salpicao. It was going to be my first time, but I had passed by a Persian restaurant on the way to Tender Bob's, so I was happy to see that they had Beef Kebabs on the menu.
You can't really fail with Salpicao. A ton of garlic does the trick, and Tender Bob's delivered on that front.
The Kebabs weren't bad, either. Two skewers came with mashed potatoes (after much debate over which sides I should get, the server suggested mashed potatoes), some veggies, sour cream and yogurt sauce for the Kebabs, and gravy for the potatoes. I enjoyed it! Although, I found some of the beef pieces a tad tough, which is disappointing, considering that it is a traditional American restaurant. They should know their beef.
