There was a staff walking around cleaning tables and making small talk with everyone. She came to our table and ensured everything was good and even recommended some places for us to visit while we were in town. If you ever been to a Chic-Fil-A restaurant (Excellent fast food with great service), the service is very comparible and might even be better. The inside was very clean. I have been to this McDonalds many times with my family and I strongly recommend you visit it. When you first come in, you are greeted by a marvellous member of staff called Sheila. She has worked here for 15 years and will definitely want a nice chat with you.. or even a cigarette! The environment certainly feels like a McDonalds and the tables are nice and are cleaned often by the staff, which is a positive in my book. The floors of the restaurant are spotless and do not have any trash lying around. The food is smashing and tastes like it should taste. The toilets are clean, especially in the disabled toilet. The only downside I found about this particular McDonalds was that there could be loads of badly behaved teenagers or children that come here, so if you dislike children or teenagers, visit in the weekdays when it's not busy, but not at 12:00-14:00 when it's their lunchtime. What is admirable about Empire is how well it copes with this situation! Being right across from the Students' Union, it gets nearly all of their hungry customers, and yet service is usually quick, friendly, and the food surprisingly good. Only downside - the prices are clearly a response to the intoxication level of students, I doubt many students would pay so much for those Chips and Cheese completely sober, and the annoying music that is playing in the shop late at night.

The burgers are always okay, but seemingly a bit squished, but that doesn't knock me off. They offer drinks just like coke but also coffees, smoothies or whatever and drinks for your kids. It's always quite busy whenever I go. The atmosphere and surroundings while you are inside is a bit loud and filled with people. If you don't want to deal with that, there are seats which are offered outside. Overall, I like mcdonalds. Although, one time i puked all my food up because of a fly going into my mouth (I ate it) unexpectedly. Not a nice experience that day, but the other days are overall fine!
