I didn't realise that there wasn't waitress service and a member of staff informed me rather brusquely that I had to order at the counter. Considering that we were sitting right next to the counter and she was just standing there, not to mention the fact that we were new customers, you'd think she might have taken our order anyway as we were only about five feet away! We then had a very long wait for a sandwich and a jacket potato, a coffee and a tea. At over £13 we thought it was overpriced, although I have to say it was nicely presented. The two young women who were working there that day were both offhand and could do with some lessons in how to make customers feel welcome. We did not and we shall try a different cafe the next time we're in Stonehaven.
