I had never had wagu before and I was looking forward to it. It is highly marbled with fat so the burger should have been juicy. It was not there was a thin dry patty that looked like it was precooked and then reheated 'a la minute'. It's was a disappointing burger. The bread was odd. It had little structure and flattened out when you picked up the burger to take a bite, my sister had a chicken sandwich and she just took the bread off the sandwich and ate the crispy chicken patty. It was just fine, nothing to write home about, it you go maybe go for lunch or dinner not brunch.

We were told by the wine tasting folks that we were welcome to sit in the restaurant and order a glass of wine while we waited (which we were happy to do and pay for). After the group left, we walked into the restaurant, and before we were even able to sit, a waiter came over and said they were not serving food anymore. We clarified it was just to grab a drink (which were informed by their colleague at the wine store was 100% ok, and from whom we just purchased a $90 bottle of wine from) , but he said sorry they are closed (it was 4pm and website says open until 5, and everyone else that we spoke to that WORKS THERE told us to go to restaurant and could wait there), meanwhile there were a bunch of tables that were eating mid-meal. That is despicable service and lack of business awareness. Instead we left and had to wait outside in 38 degC. Ridiculous. Worst service ever. Also we are are brown. All the people inside (and the server) were white. Make of that what you will. We did.

When you enter their tasting room, you will see the breathtaking lake view on the left, and amaze by the beautiful tasing bar on the right. Wine tasting booking with their very knowledgable staff is recommended. I fell in love with their Wildblume sparkling wine (wildflower in German) named after the Arrowleaf Balsamroot flowers that grow on the hills of the Okanagan Valley each spring. I also like their Bacchus German wine that is perfectly refreshing. I recommend buying a bottle of wine and a box of charcuterie, and head to their outdoor patio to savour the beautiful nature.

We had the wine flight which is fantastic - Riesling was refreshing and light on a hot day, Giggle Water was a classic crisp and pleasant rosé for a patio, the red was delicious and possibly my favorite, and the ice wine was not overly sweet and absolutely fantastic. The wine slush afterward was lovely - also not too sweet, just super refreshing. The resident vineyard pooch was wagging her tail and being the absolute best. As well as a super cute dog (labradoodle - we later learned is a diva- but still so cute!) We were seated and well taken care of by our server who not only gave us some great suggestions but passionately told us the beautiful story of how the vineyard came to be!
