Unfortunately, we couldn't visit the kitchen due to the slow season, but the pyramid and gift store are worth checking out. The winery itself is on the older side, and they've kept much of the decor vintage, adding to its charm. The champagne glasses are perfect for photos -- definitely Instagram-worthy! As for the pyramid, it's a bit on the sketchy side. It's a self-guided tour, but the lights are off, and the only sound is calming meditation music playing through the speakers. It creates a mysterious vibe, though I'm not entirely sure why it feels so... intriguing. Definitely a unique experience, with a mix of history, ambiance, and a little mystery.

He was super knowledgeable and friendly. Never tried to sell us any of the wines. He was just lovely to chat with, to learn more about Summerhill's wine and property. Thank you for a pleasant experience, Daniel! Of all the wine tastings I did over the weekend, these ones were pretty good. I don't buy into the whole pyramid structure and however they use that in their winemaking process. However, I will agree that they make really good reds and dessert wines. The property itself was beautiful. They had a really nice spot overlooking the valley. Unfortunately, the restaurant looked a bit dated from what I could see in the the tasting room.

The tasting staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and do a great job explaining their wines. It's also a great place to spend time with friends and family. That said, I enjoy the restaurant experience here even more. The outdoor seating offers beautiful views and is a wonderful spot to relax with a bottle of wine and good company. While the food isn't the main highlight, it's nice to have dining options while enjoying the scenery. Families will especially appreciate the setup. Kids can play in the beach area, and you can also grab food from the café and have a casual picnic on the grounds. I personally preferred their red wine selection and had a lovely afternoon here with my family. If you're visiting the Okanagan with family, this estate offers one of the best overall experiences in the area, with great views, plenty of space to relax, dining options, and a family-friendly atmosphere.

The food, as always, was delicious. The wings were perfectly cooked, Cajun fries had great flavour, beer cheese was delicious and creamy and the beef sliders hit the spot. I can't wait to go back (in fact, I have already made another reservation!)

We had the wine flight which is fantastic - Riesling was refreshing and light on a hot day, Giggle Water was a classic crisp and pleasant rosé for a patio, the red was delicious and possibly my favorite, and the ice wine was not overly sweet and absolutely fantastic. The wine slush afterward was lovely - also not too sweet, just super refreshing. The resident vineyard pooch was wagging her tail and being the absolute best. My doggy was given a nice water bowl and enjoyed her time. We ordered the pierogi pizza - holy smokes talk about delicious. So good we are tempted to go back on this trip! An absolutely outstanding visit, staff was incredibly sweet, could not have asked for a more perfect setting.

It's very flexible, just asking for three purchases a year, so we made the first right then, and I selected wines for a case that she even carried to our car.

We didn't go for the Chef's Tasting menu but were perfectly content with the Terrace Dining menu. Service was impeccable and we felt extremely welcomed. Only downside to the experience was the fact that the wines weren't that amazing. Mostly because of the deep freeze that forced wineries to import from elsewhere. Ice wine from Mission Hill is still amazing. Still, the food, service, and ambience made up for this small hiccup! Will most definitely be back and Mission Hill will be our go-to recommendation spot for our friends!

The reserve had mostly all reds, while the introductory had a couple of whites sprinkled in. My favorite were the pinot noir and the riesling. Both had nice acidity and was perfect for a hot summer day in the Okanagan. THE FINAL BAMBOO: Overall the damage done for 2 wine tastings was $30 CAD. Not bad with the beautiful views outside.
