Located about 20 miles south of downtown Minneapolis, the Chart House is a comfortable supper club, with live music - currently showcasing tribute shows produced by Mick Sterling, a legendary Minnesota Music Hall of Fame inductee. With a group of seven, we ate dinner and saw an Amy Winehouse tribute show. The food was well‑prepared and enjoyable, and the service team kept everything smooth without ever feeling rushed. The performance was tight, heartfelt, and very well‑produced. Not sure I'd make the trek to Lakeville just to eat (although if you're in the area it's worth a shot), but I recommend it as a place for a nice dinner and a great place to sit, listen, and enjoy live music

Vegan bowl

Executive Chef Jeff came on board and my favorite quinoa bowl walked the plank. I don't even like cilantro and I found this quite tasty. Kudos, Jeff - as an omnivore with a plethora of vegans in my extended family, I appreciate when there is effort made to please the eye and the palate for our finicky friends!

Visited here for dinner and was SO surprised at how amazing it was. I loved the look of the restaurant driving up to it, looked like an old ship!! The inside was so cute as well, had port holes throughout that were actually fish bowls. Really unique! When visiting, they had a live jazz band in another section of the restaurant - you had to get tickets to get into the concert but when looking in it seemed like a blast! After being seated and looking at the menu, there was so many great sounding options was definitely hard to decide. The waitress was amazing and gave great suggestions on what was most popular. I ended up ordering the Brussel sprouts for the appetizer (highly recommend!), and the Walleye Platter with seasonal veggies on the side. The walleye was delicious and is one of their most popular dishes! Definitely recommend getting fish when visiting here, it's definitely one of their specialties. From the service, to the quality of the food, to the price - definitely recommend this amazing restaurant and can't wait to visit again for a jazz night and enjoy the lake views once it warms up outside.

Lakeville's hidden gem! The Chart House has such a fun summer lake front feel to it! We said it was hard to believe we were in the Twin Cities here! We chose to sit outside and said multiple times how happy we were that we did! There was live music playing and a beautiful sunset view over the lake front! We also saw some tables were large fire table for guests which is a fun summer addition! Our waitress was so sweet and helpful with the menu! She provided insight on what her favorite meals were, and answered all our questions! She was quick and attentive and that seemed to be across the board with all the staff! Now for the best part: the food! WOW! We started with the crab cakes and they were delicious! I did think they could be a slight bit crispier but that's my preference! We also had the Minnesota walleye and the Cajun shrimp pasta. Highly recommend both! The portions were excellent for the price, enough for dinner and leftovers to take home too! Everything was fresh and hot when we were served as well! Super happy to know this spot is less than 10 minutes from home, and can't wait to return soon!

We were seated right away upon arrival and service was good and we were well taken care of the whole time. Starting from apps, we ordered the duck bacon wontons, and the brisket poutine. The duck bacon wontons were almost empanada size and were truly tasty. The pomegranate sriracha dipping sauce was the icing on the cake here as it was so sweet and rich and flavorful. The brisket poutine was pretty solid as well. There were definitely some beautiful cheese pulls involved when pullling apart the fry's. I wouldn't have minded a little more gravy, but still this dish was still pretty good. For my beverage I had the You're my boy blue beverage which is a bourbon, agave, blueberry and lemonade drink. It was tasty and the blueberry really stood out. Lastly, for the entree I had the anytime monte which is their take on a Monte Cristo sandwich. I love this thing wit a passion. Delicious French toast bread with fried ham and bacon and cheese inside. I then slathered it in the jalapeño strawberry jam which makes this sandwich complete. I asked for the sandwich with Fries and let me tell you, they know what they're doing with potatoes. Unbelievably crispy, double battered double fried fry's. So good! I think that this restaurant has wonderful staff, wonderful food, and the one thing it's maybe missing is the interior design is a bit dreary. It's just red everywhere, lots of windows and pretty plain furniture. I think if they can add some flare to the design it would really elevate the dining experience. Still, I was very happy with my time here hence a 5/5

The restaurant is spacious and bright. Even though there's tons of seating, spots fill up fast! I came around 9am on a Saturday and was seated right away, but by 10am the entry room was full of people waiting for a table. -- The Northwoods Hashbrowns are absolutely delicious if you're craving a savory breakfast. The portion is huge and can easily be shared. The default hashbrowns are on the softer side, so I like to ask for it extra crispy so you get a better bite. It has the perfect amount of spice from the jalapeños and pepper jack cheese. -- The 49er Flapjacks are like the denser cousin of the crepe. The texture is so velvety and the butter just glides on. Absolutely delicious when it's smothered in butter and syrup. The 49ers are thin but they take up the entire plate, so it's still quite a bit of food. -- The cinnamon roll pancakes are arguably better than a standard cinnamon roll. It's the flavor of a cinnamon roll with the moist fluffy texture of a pancake. They do not skimp out on the cinnamon sugar filling or the maple cream cheese frosting. -- The cold brew is nice if you're looking for an iced coffee option, but it does taste a little watered down. It does not come with any refills. -- The thick sliced bacon is around 1/4 inch thick and is flavorful. You can ask them to cook it to your desired crispiness level.

Had us seated quickly and got drinks out pretty quickly. During this dinner I drank a Cherry Manhattan and ate Cajun Bourbon pasta. I typically love a Manhattan but I wasn't impressed with this Cherry Manhattan. It seemed like it was pure whisky and a drop of sweet Vermouth. The ratio of the cocktail was definitely all wrong. Good thing I like straight whiskey I guess. The Cajun Bourbon pasta was good, but I wouldn't venture to say great. It was overly creamy and just didn't pack any spice that you'd expect to be associated with Cajun. Overall it just lacked a richness in flavor. I would still recommend this spot despite food and drink being average. Barley and Vine had a beautiful location with some magnificent wood working that is a feast for the eyes. Additionally they bring in live music on Saturdays so that adds some enjoyment if you appreciate loud live music. 4/5 due to these many factors mentioned.

To be fair, I did overlook that a special sauce already came with the order. At pickup, the hostess told me, "My manager said not to forget to charge you for the extra sauces." After clarifying what sauce was already included, I asked what the cost would be for the four extra 2 oz sauces. She said $3, and I paid it. Still, after already leaving a 15% tip on a takeout order, it felt a little cheap for management to make a point of charging for a few small sauces. The hostess herself was very nice and even said that if it were up to her, she would have just given them to me. The bigger problem, though, was the food. The chicken was bone dry, even if it was still hot and crispy. The fries and toast were both cold and soggy, and the toast was so salty it was hard to enjoy. Sometimes simple is better. Just butter the toast and leave it at that. I usually do not leave negative reviews, but between the awkward sauce situation and the poor quality of a $16 platter, I felt this was worth mentioning. This also was not an isolated issue. The only other time I ordered fries from here, they were cold and soggy then too. Since both visits were during busy hours, I expected better consistency, not the same problem twice. To be fair, not everything I've had here has been bad. The salmon bowl I ordered previously was cooked well and tasted good, and the service has also been good overall. The staff I've interacted with have been very nice. This particular platter, though, was disappointing.
