I didn't ask for anyone in specific because I wasn't certain who still worked here but they got me in with Kaitlyn. First time I got my hair cut here was years ago with Amanda. She did an amazing job. Not sure if she's still cutting hair here but she was very attentive and detail oriented. Another visit I had Breauna (Breanna) not sure of spelling of her name but she also did a great job on cut. She also gave me a bayalage that turned out fantastic! It did take about 4 hours but you can't rush beauty. My hubby gets his hair cut by Chelsea and if I had thought about it, I'd asked for her! But again, I called a little last minute and don't think she was available for the time they scheduled me! I got my hair cut today with Kaitlyn. She was fabulous! She was very friendly and patient with what I needed done. It was a simple cut but she was on it! She did a great job and I'll definitely be back to see her. Overall, it was a great experience and for the price of just a cut, it's a deal!

I showed her a picture and said I wanted to go darker with subtle highlights around my face. When it was done it was BLONDER. I immediately started saying I didn't think it looked right and it had too much of a reddish tone somehow and wasn't dark enough and she straight up just told me it looked exactly how it was supposed to and I needed to see it in different lighting. But I was telling her it didn't look right and she didn't careI felt so uncomfortable and it was so late I knew she was just rushing me out. She kept saying "don't you love it?!" Over and over and I felt so uncomfortable I just said yes and left. I tried really hard over the last few days to get used to it and like it but it's the exact opposite of what I wanted and I'm beside myself that I spent $300 for my hair to look horrible. Stylists: your clients are literally always right. Hate to break it to you but it's THEIR body. If they don't like it, no matter what the excuse, fix it. Don't argue with them. It's belittling and mean. Now I'm embarrassed to try to go back because she made me feel so bad. But felt like making sure everyone else knew my experience. UPDATE: Emily was AMAZING. She fixed my hair so perfectly and couldn't have been any nicer. I am blown away by today's experience at this salon. Management and my stylist were so kind to help fix this issue and I'm so happy with how it turned out. THANK YOU! I will definitely be going back to Emily.

Hey, brides! If you want a rat's nest for your special day, go to Modern Salon & Spa!…read more Multiple employees acknowledged that my bridal updo was poor quality and visibly not up to a professional standard, and the team removed it on site. The salon refused a refund but offered to have a more "experienced" stylist redo it the following week. I lost half a day and no longer have confidence in the salon's ability to provide services for my wedding party. After I asked to speak with someone above the salon manager, my calls were screened, went unanswered, or I was left on hold for extended periods. When I called from a different number, however, my calls were answered quickly. I truly did not want to leave a negative review. Making this right would have been incredibly simple with a refund for a bridal trial that their own team acknowledged was not acceptable work.
