I always get excited when I see a Centurion Lounge at an airport I'm flying in or out of. I was hungry, thirsty and looking forward to finding out the treasures that lie within the Centurion Lounge. Unfortunately this was a Centurion Studio. They're planning on expansion this year, but as for now, they were a small oasis to those Amex Centurion members. No bar, but they did have waiter service for drinks. No large area for food selection, but they did have chick pea salads, zucchini and cream cheese sandwiches along with other snack type foods. Certainly not like the Centurion Lounge they have a Vegas or NYC. The staff was friendly and it was very quiet. Nice place to relax. read more

Don't waste your time with AMEX Centurion Lounges, especially in Seattle. Between the subpar and limited food selections, the typical lines of people waiting to get in they now have changed their hours to 7am to 7pm. So much for stopping in prior to any flights departing before 8am. Like so many other places these days, higher costs and declining customer service. read more

Even with the bigger footprint, most times you have to wait to get in. At 15 minutes mine was not bad for a Sunday AM. The offerings are not the best, SFO and DFW have much better menu. All in all a good refuge from the 'madding crowds' , kudos to the staff. read more

My family and I had a layover at the SeaTac airport. First one I've been so I don't really any other Centurion lounges to compare to. I have only been to an airspace lounge before this. I was visiting with my wife and two kids who are ages 15 and 17. From their website this is what it says about guests: "Centurion members may enter with up to two guests or immediate family (spouse or domestic partner, and children under 18) at no additional charge." The way I understand it is I can bring my spouse and two children. I was greeted by the gentleman at the front desk and was told only two guests regardless of who they are. I did not have the rules bookmarked at the time so I couldn't read it to him. Wife and one kid decided to take off since we only had about an hour. The facility was nice. Bathrooms and sitting areas were neat. We came around 2:30pm so it was probably pretty busy. A lot of plates and glasses needed to be picked up and tables to be cleaned. The food and drinks were good for the time we had to sit there. I guess I expected a lot more from what I read about. read more

On Sunday, February 25th, I entered the Centurion Lounge studio at Seatac airport. I met up with two attendees of a conference I had been at and two of us went to the bar to order drinks. Our third friend had asked for an apple martini (don't judge me for that!) and we asked the bartender to make it. He admitted he didn't know how to make it, which we initially thought was a joke, but it turns out he actually didn't know how to make it. He said he'd look for the recipe and I left the bar with my drink. A little while later, the bartender approached us and asked us if we can verify with his manager that we did indeed ask for an appletini. We said yes, and asked why. He explained that he was looking up the recipe on his phone and that his manager had admonished him for being on his phone. A moment later, his manager, Betuin, came over to us to confirm his story. But her demeanor and tone of voice was very accusatory towards the bartender. We told her, "yes, we asked him to make that drink." Her response was that there is a book of recipes which he could use. That response struck us as irrelevant to us as customers and very defensive. We responded with, "well sometimes it's faster to look it up on a phone vs. a book." And her response took us all aback: "Well a good bartender would know how to make it." I don't care if he should have known the drink or not. The manager's response really soured me on the Centurion Lounge. It's a clear reflection of her inability to lead, motivate and manage her team. And frankly it's inappropriate to call your employee out in front of a customer, especially since we didn't think he did anything wrong. I attempted to speak to the manager after this incident but she hid in the kitchen for the duration of my stay. I even followed up with American Express afterwards and discovered there's no direct way to lodge my complaint with the lounge. Very poor customer experience and I have my doubts if I will return to this lounge. read more

A decent sized lounge but can get crowded. The bartender (with long hair) was pretty much working nonstop on fulfilling the drink orders. He was quite knowledgeable and efficient. The food options are not bad at all - they have a small salad bar, two different soups, an array of hot dishes (that evening was veggie fried rice and Asian style chicken), and delicious desserts. Terrible place, so small staff is rude, and they don't enforce the guest to wear masks, every other seat is "reserved" but not for COVID regulations (they seat everyone next to each other), they're just "reserved" who knows for who. This isn't worth it. read more

Just gross. Such a terrible experience. Chronically crowded, waiting lists to enter. Packed to the gills. Totally unappetizing food. Everything's dirty and picked over. Two one-person bathrooms for a place that has well over a hundred people in it. Not enough staff to maintain and semblance of cleanliness. Staff are indifferent at best, maybe aware but powerless to do anything about it. A bunch of empty reserved seats for black card members when you're lucky to find a seat at an akwardly shared, unbussed table. This is a bait and switch experience by AMEX. If you have an Amex centurion business card it's part of the special rewards to get into the club. Love the swanky sleek modern look. Service is friendly. Food is delicious and good variety. They serve beer and wine by request. Just ask a server. No hard liquor though. It's nice to have this as alternative to the over busy Delta or Alaska board rooms. I heard this was a condensed version of a centurion room. I'll probably only use if inner terminal B. Nice to have more choices. I'm a fan, though. read more

Nice location and super friendly staff but there are a lot of buts: a lot of the comfortable seats were reserved (yet not used when I was there). the tall desk spaces were good and plentiful but the chairs are super uncomfortable. The food is better than most airport lounges but the privacy isn't. There also isn't water to go - kind o a bummer but I suppose good environmental practice. It's small and louder phone people kind of dominate the space. The bathrooms are spacious, 1 occupancy - so there was a line at all of them. Overall a small almost oasis in the B gates. read more

We arrive this lounge and secured a seat for 4. Then our parents (one 80 and the other 76 years old) joined us about 10 minutes later. While we understand the lounge is busy. a militant individual named Brittanie and her equally rude counter part; woman with big frizzy hair began to harass all four of us; stating they because our parents arrive later they are not allowed due to a waitlist. Next thing we know they demand us to leave the lounge in a very unprofessional manner. Why could they have just said "take u r time leaving but we need the space?" When we said we are leaving these two individual continue to express their desire to vacate us. Instead of de-escalate an explosive scenario, these two untrained staff exploded and decided to escalate and exert their authority. It made the rest of lounge attendees very uncomfortable. Frankly it's just unacceptable. While there's not a whole lot anyone can do about these two individuals we sincerely hope they receive additional on the job trainings and the emotional support they need. read more

Update: on return home stopped by again. Was so over crowded they wouldn't sell a day pass to my wife and asked which 2 guests I wanted to choose (I had my 2 and 5 yr olds and wife with me). I guess just pick my wife and leave my least favorite kid outside?! I thought this might be an attempt at humor from the front desk, but they were just being rude. We left. SEA is my primary airport and this lounge and staff are not good. I decided the Platinum card was not worth it and decided to cancel. Hopefully you have a better experience than me, and they upgrade this space significantly. Also the Delta Sky Club is WAAAAAY better so try that instead. Breakfast food was good, but limited. Place was very busy and it's lounge area is not very big. Guests are very friendly and easy to strike up a good conversation. Somewhat kid friendly, but not really. I've been coming here for years, and lately its really going downhill. Very crowded - sometimes requiring a waiting list. The latest is my impetus for this review: until 1030, they will *only* serve "breakfast drinks" (e.g. mimosa, screwdriver, sparkling wine, Bloody Mary). In other words, one *must* have carbs with their pre-flight drink. No hold the mixer allowed. No substituting soda for mixer. No doubles to water down the carbs. Absolutely ludicrous to have this sort of inflexible rule. If I was actually paying a fee for this lounge, I'd cancel it today! read more

Pretty upset my husband and I pay 700 a year for this card I get to the lounge 3 hrs 25 minutes before departure and they won't let me get onto the waitlist until I'm 3 hrs from departure now I have to wait almost an hour to enter the lounge. I was flying Alaska Airlines so I was in Seattle plenty of times. The first time I tried to visit the Studio it was late morning on Friday before the July 4th holiday weekend. They were packed to the gills and gave me a $10 Starbucks giftcard to come back in 30 min. The bathroom line took forever. The subsequent times were not as crowded. If you have a Centurion card, they have seats with reserved signs that are for you. Overall, not bad, but not great. It was always still a walk from my gate. (Don't try transferring trains like I did.) They don't have a kitchen so the food isn't as exciting as other full locations. read more

A nice airport lounge with wifi, yummy snacks, a quiet area in the back, and friendly service. I'm so glad Seatac is home to one of the few Centurion lounges in the country. Centrally located near gate B4 I enjoy going in there for a snack and drink before and after long flights. The check-in folks are really friendly and the snacks are always well-stocked. I like that there are always fruit in baskets, dried fruit, and trail mix options available along with breads from Macrina Bakery and soft drinks galore. I especially like the Frescas they concoct that are light refreshers. My only wish is that they would have bottled water available for those days when I'm just parched from the plane and don't need any more carbonation in me. Sometimes I just don't have space in my carry-on for my reusable bottle! read more

Came here for breakfast between flights and wasn't sure what to expect between centurion lounge reputation & the yelp reviews but I was really impressed! They had an espresso machine to customize your coffee, tons of great & healthy breakfast options, free cocktails, tons of plugs & even free newspapers! As Centurion lounges go, this one ranks near the bottom unfortunately. The food and beverage options just aren't at the same level as the other outposts. That said, the staff is AWESOME! Always really friendly, with a smile to great you at the door. They really do make this particular lounge worth going into; the vibe they create is always positive and makes a weary jet setter feel like he's at home. Of note, this is only a Centurion Studio, not a full Centurion Lounge. It's small and only has "bistro bites" for food, not a full hot buffet, and wine/beer options, not a full bar. They're in the process of expanding to be a full Lounge, but until the bigger one opens, temper your expectations. If you understand why this is a bit smaller, it's really great for the size. The food is great- make your own salads, mini wraps, smoked salmon sandwiches. For breakfast, they have a yogurt bar with assorted pastries and muffins. I was really very impressed with the options despite the small size. The staff who work here are great (like at all Centurion lounges I've been to). They go out of their way to help you- at one point, I was unsure of to get a drink, so I asked the front desk lady and she remembered my name then sent a server over to take my order right away, and he also addressed me personally. Very impressive! The internet is fast, the food is good, the drinks are interesting and local, and the service is great. I highly recommend this one if you're stopping through SeaTac! read more

Ive been to most of the centurion lounges, and this is the worst I've experienced. Delta lounges are way better at this airport. It's too small, with subpar food. No actual food, only tiny snacks. Surprisingly, the sea lounge is better than this lounge. They didn't have a large selection of food. However, my biggest complaint is the rude customer service (specifically the bartender with the long hair and beard) and the out of order espresso machine. It's inconvenient to wait for the bartender just for another water or Diet Coke. They don't have soda cans or bottled water, you have to ask the bartender who constantly strokes his long beard. I was so turned off by this place, I left and went to the sea lounge. There, I found more of a variety of food, soda cans, available chairs, and great customer service-was not expecting that at all. There wasn't a whole lot to read, but flipping through the "fine hotels and resorts" catalog was fun. The food was great. It seems like a nice place to spend a few hours. The customer service here is terrible. There is a young man named Colin who was incredibly condescending and rude. It took me a moment to find my platinum card, and he insinuated that I was attempting to sneak into the lounge. Having been a platinum member since 1996, I was shocked at his attitude and behavior. I asked to speak to his supervisor and was told that there was none available. I asked for his supervisors contact information and was told that she cannot be contacted and I can call Amex customer service. This is unacceptable, given that I pay $550 annually! read more

This is by far my favorite lounge at SeaTac. Funnily enough, it pales in comparison to every other Centurion lounge in the US, but it's still a darn good place to kill time before/after a flight or between flights. The food spread is always finger food. That's better than no food, but not better than what the SkyClub around the corner offers. Mini sandwiches and wraps are what I most frequently see here. You can certainly eat enough of them to fill up if you'd like, but I really wish hot food were available. The bar is spiffy, though! It's a full bar, so that's taken care of. There are a couple of (usually local) beer taps, and several decent wine options available. There's also a curated cocktail list, but you can have the bartender whip up any cocktail you desire. I have noticed that the bartender here frequently shows preferential treatment to some patrons while blatantly ignoring others, which is supremely annoying. The other issue with this lounge is that it is frequently packed to the rafters. I've had to wait 10-15 minutes to get a seat as a solo traveler on a couple of occasions. I know they just expanded the space, but it clearly still isn't sufficient :( read more

The most unprofessional EMPLOYEES I have come in contact with and, as said "EMPLOYEES" who seem to forget that they are representing American Express and the Seattle Airport. First necessity: ANYONE WHO CARES ABOUT THE QUALITY OF CUSTOMER SERVICE, needs TO place a VISIBLE sign outside the Centurion entrance which states "please wait outside" so your representative does not rudely snap at someone for sticking their head in the door, especially when there is no acknowledgement of what the next step is; second: please remind your EMPLOYEES that there is no reason, what so ever, to act as though someone is low life just because they may not possess the appropriate credit card as, I allowed your nasty, unprofessional female EMPLOYEE to make me feel like tucking my tail between my legs JUST because I did not have the appropriate entry card and, as other lounges will allow paid entry, your unprofessional EMPLOYEE did not have customer service skills for explaining anything OR CARE to. I am 70 years old and must say that the horrible interaction with your EMPLOYEES was unnecessary, rude and most hurtful. Please remind your staff members that they are NOT owners (thankfully) but EMPLOYEES representing Amex and the Seattle airport and, if the shoe was on the other foot, I wonder how they would feel. From the rude overweight guy at the front desk, to the "wait" to get in, to the bartender not able to figure out how to pour a glass of wine for two people. I have visited a number of Centurion lounges and the Seattle location is by far my favorite. The staff (Debbie, Malcolm, James and Kim) are always friendly, courteous and accommodating. The lounge is well appointed for its restricted size and the recent upgrades and expansion have made it more accessible. Everyone tries really hard to meet the needy demands and often crabby attitudes of some travelers who refuse to accept that the airport and lounge gets busy during peak travel times. The addition of a fully stocked bar is great. Plenty of good wine choices and great cocktails available. They have also added hot meals which are a good addition to the food options available. Where else in the airport can you get a free premium cocktail? Always enjoy my time in the Lounge waiting for my flights to depart. I will be back again soon. read more
