I had multiple issues with my breast aug here. Dr. Downs assured me that "I could wear the skimpiest swimsuit and my scars wouldn't be visible" his words exactly. The scars I have almost reach my sternum and suits worn have to be thick at the bottom to hide how visible they are. Secondly- I had to have a revision done since he and the team left a "dog ear" that looks like an unusual protrusion. Even after the revision -it's still present. Bathing suits worn have to be a certain type to hide the error and damage that wasn't addressed properly. After multiple phone calls with management- both Dr's. ( I inquired of both) refused any type of compensation for these issues that are now something I have to see everyday. I'm very disappointed in my results that are now almost a year old. My desires were made very clear to the staff and Downs. I would encourage others considering this establishment to do research on other plastic surgeons in the area. I will absolutely NEVER set foot in a St. Joesph medical center facility in my life again! I will die first. I'm disabled and have a really hard time with life. Upon my arrival at the hospital I became ill(vomiting) because my kidneys don't work and I had to walk from far away. I sat on the first bench I could find. A crabby lady approached me and instead of asking if I need help or offer me a tissue or water, she said, "is someone coming to help you"? I said "no, I have an appointment ". She said where and I told her. This crappy individual turned her back and made a bee line toward my specialists office to taddle tail on me. Ronald K. Downs then made it extra hard on me today by canceling my appointment right in my face. First they made me drive all the way to get my X-rays at another facility. Why can't you professionals figure that crap out? Next I get back with my X-rays early for my appointment. The f*cking idiot Dr. turned me away because "you were sick". I explained my illness to them and that it is nothing contagious. I have esrd and can't walk all that way w/o getting an upset stomach. I explained how hard it was for me to get there and be there. Nope. No compassion. They said reschedule. I said this is a broken bone and it's already been rescheduled on their account once. Now my broken hand will probably need rebroken because it's been so long. No lie, every time I go to a St Joe facility there is always a flucking problem. This place is one of the best surgery centers, cleanest places I have ever had any of my many surgeries at. Dr Downs was so easy and comfortable to work with. He went through every last detail and everything went 100% as he said it would. He has a real art for seeing and diagnosing issues that many other Dr's could not find over the years. My body felt so good day 2 after leaving the operating table. I was so nervous, and the whole team made me feel so welcome and at ease. The staffing of women in this place is the absolute BEST! They are guaranteed to make you feel very comfortable. They never forget a name or a face! They have alot of patience, and really- the knowledge they all have, is amazing! There is NO question that they cant answer. I will recommend the Centre to anyone and everyone. This level of expertise is far larger than you could imagine. The Centre never disappoints! read more

I have never written a review, but in this case I feel I must to warn women about the Centre PC. As a breast cancer survivor who had 6 (yes 6) revision surgeries over two years (2 with Dr. Viscardi and 4 with Dr. Downs). I still had hideous results. The lack of compassion was obvious as they take advantage of cancer patients, because they know that insurance will pay for multiple revisions for cancer patients. I had it with them, and went to UChicago Medicine and my results were amazing! I didn't realize what hacks these guys are until I experienced a compassionate and truly competent surgeon. Do your research and see who is in network for your insurance. Do not go here! read more

Only giving it a 2 star because I was happy with Dr. Downs. However, I am not happy about my appointment getting cancelled or rescheduled. I had originally have scheduled surgery for 08/16/2018 and had was forced to reschedule due to me being the only case that day and they didn't want to hire an Anesthesiologist just for me to come that day, which is completely understandable. Also had an appointment scheduled for 08/17/2018 for laser underarm hair removal which was cancelled due to surgery. So I show up for my next laser hair removal 09/14/2018 (since I scheduled all 8 of my sessions in advanced because they seems pretty booked) and to my surprise my appointment was cancelled. Also had an appointment for 01/04/2019 and received a phone call today 01/02/2019 that I am late to my 2:00 pm appointment. Really wish receptionist could get it together on scheduling appointments because, this cancelling and rescheduling my appointments without my consent is really frustrating. read more
