The scars I have almost reach my sternum and suits worn have to be thick at the bottom to hide how visible they are. Secondly- I had to have a revision done since he and the team left a "dog ear" that looks like an unusual protrusion. Even after the revision -it's still present. Bathing suits worn have to be a certain type to hide the error and damage that wasn't addressed properly. After multiple phone calls with management- both Dr's. ( I inquired of both) refused any type of compensation for these issues that are now something I have to see everyday. I'm very disappointed in my results that are now almost a year old. My desires were made very clear to the staff and Downs. I would encourage others considering this establishment to do research on other plastic surgeons in the area. Upon my arrival at the hospital I became ill(vomiting) because my kidneys don't work and I had to walk from far away. I sat on the first bench I could find. A crabby lady approached me and instead of asking if I need help or offer me a tissue or water, she said, "is someone coming to help you"? I said "no, I have an appointment ". She said where and I told her. This crappy individual turned her back and made a bee line toward my specialists office to taddle tail on me. Ronald K. Downs then made it extra hard on me today by canceling my appointment right in my face. First they made me drive all the way to get my X-rays at another facility. Why can't you professionals figure that crap out? Next I get back with my X-rays early for my appointment. The f*cking idiot Dr. turned me away because "you were sick". I explained my illness to them and that it is nothing contagious. I have esrd and can't walk all that way w/o getting an upset stomach. I explained how hard it was for me to get there and be there. Nope. No compassion. They said reschedule. I said this is a broken bone and it's already been rescheduled on their account once. Now my broken hand will probably need rebroken because it's been so long. No lie, every time I go to a St Joe facility there is always a flucking problem. I have zero problems with all the other hospitals.

I knew from the moment I met him and his staff that he was the one I wanted to do my breast reconstruction after I was diagnosed with breast cancer. He was so attentive starting during the first consultation, he did not try to "sell" his work, just let it speak for itself. I could not recommend him more. My reconstruction looks PERFECT and NATURAL. The healing process was fast, minimal bruising, the incision scars just look amazing. I was so nervous before the surgery, but his calm and confident demeanor made me feel calm and confident. Even since my surgeries, he has been so attentive, remembers little details, and could not be more professional. Now onto his staff--they all are so sweet and always made me feel welcomed, and not like just another patient, but an actual person. Amazing. I will/and have recommended him to anyone who even jokes about getting any type of cosmetic or reconstructive surgery.

I was quite nervous and felt very awkward about the whole thing because I'd never had anything cosmetic done and hadn't planned to in my lifetime. I've never spoken with a plastic surgeon before and was also afraid that I might get unsolicited advice (i.e. "Well, if we change x or y, you'll look SO much better!") that would hurt my feelings for a long time or something honestly. Nothing I was concerned about came true in the least bit; his bedside manner was A+, and Dr. Diepenbrock was also extremely sympathetic about some personal issues I shared with him that had caused my tension headaches to become much worse in recent months. He came up with a generous and cost-effective plan for treating me during our session but then also suggested that I seek out a doctor that accepts insurance for my type of issue - read: he wasn't even trying to make a return customer out of me, he's really just that nice. As for the results? I definitely feel that it worked. I still get headaches from time-to-time from dehydration or if my neck/shoulder/upper back tension gets too out-of-control; however, the "transfer of tension" to my head doesn't happen nearly as often. These days, I can still feel when the rest of my muscles are tight and aching, but at least it doesn't turn into a headache that prevents me from remembering things or thinking clearly. I think I'll look into having the same treatment on some of my neck/shoulder muscles and see if that solves the problem completely. I'm so grateful that Dr. Diepenbrock was so knowledgeable about this type of issue and was so willing to work with me in my situation because now I might be more on the track to completely solving my 20-year issue. I came in with a procedure in my mind, I am losing volume in my face and wanted it corrected. They basically talked me out of the procedure, and just recommended to take better care of my skin. I have no wrinkles but my pores could be smaller and I have spots of sun damage. I could do a better job looking after my skin for sure. They put together some products for me from Obagi line, Dr.Diepenbrock did a tiny bit of Botox to relax muscles under my eyes when I smile so it doesn't cause wrinkles and hollowness under eyes and they sent me home. Next day my eyes look really relaxed when I smile, I love it. The botox shots were not painful and left no marks! I have a follow up scheduled in June.

Though it smelled sort of like he ate Limburger cheese for breakfast, he created a good rapport. I dealt more with Michelle. She was so nice! I could tell that she had my best interests at heart and cared about me as a patient! The office was clean and organized. There was a good feeling of privacy all of the times I went there. Their prices were similar to the others in the area doing the same procedures.
