I pulled apart just enough of the backing, retaining pins and canvas so I could remove the broken glass. I was afraid the damage to the back of the frame and some rubs on the matting would cause this to be an expensive repair. When I took it in to McKinley's Frame Shop, the owner Danielle she said it was a simple repair and she would have it done in a few days. Four days later, it was ready and when I picked it up I think it looked better than when I made the purchase, and Danielle was super reasonable in her pricing. I won't have my artwork framed anywhere else.

They all worked on the card and the results blew me away. I wanted to be able to keep it and look at it forever, but it was fragile and needed expert framing. A friend suggested Artistic Edge, and the rest is history. Jessica spent the best part of an hour with me going over all the various possibilities. The color of the frame, the size, the matting, the various parts next to each other, the weight of what would be the final product. She acted like I was the only person of importance throughout all of this back-and-forth as I changed my mind over and over. Finally I was ready, and she said that it would be ready by X amount of time --- probably a bit sooner. Off I went. WEEKS before the date promised Kathy called and said the artwork was ready. When I arrived and saw it displayed I cried --- it was exactly what I wanted and ever so much more! Kathy talked to me --- and LISTENED --- as though I was the most important person in the world at that moment --- I told her all about who made the sticker card artwork and when and why, and she just listened and smiled and chatted and was wonderful. I took my artwork home, hung it up, and took pictures for all the sticker artists to enjoy. Everything has come out perfectly! This is a beautiful, meaningful, lovely piece of art, in the absolutely perfect frame. Artistic Edge did an awesome job --- they respected the artwork, they respected me, they threw their artistic talents into this, and I feel that at the same time they got a kick out of doing it. We all of us have beautiful, meaningful artistic treasures hanging around our homes. I can promise you that if you bring them in, Artistic Edge will give them glory in a whole new dimension! At first I wanted the mat to be the same size around all edges, but Ron expressed his concern for cutting off the artwork. After I looked around the shop a little, I agreed that a mat cut with the tops and bottoms not being the same size as the sides would be fine. He crunched some numbers and gave me a receipt for the smaller one, and an estimate for the larger one if he had to grab a new mat for it. One of the frames I had brought in came with a precut mat for some previous artwork in the frame. To cut down on costs, he offered to cut the mat to fit first. That didn't work, mostly because the cuts were too tight, and the previous artwork had some sticky tape left around the borders. Ron called to make sure I was okay with him moving ahead with cutting another mat for it. When I came in to pick them up, not only had he repositioned the mounting hardware on the smaller one so it would hang in portrait orientation, but he had also finished the back side of the bigger one, complete with protective paper and hanging wire. He also helped carry the bigger one out to my trunk on a rainy day. Overall, really satisfied, highly recommend, and I'm glad I didn't go to Michael's instead haha.

I was thinking I'd have to go to Oakland or SF. After checking Yelp for recommendations I found Chris at CR and I was thrilled to find out the business is located less than 10 minutes from my home. I called Chris first to find out if this is the kind of work he does and then I visited. Seeing the quality of the work they do, I didn't hesitate to leave my painting to be stretched. Not only did Chris do an excellent job, he added a heavy paper backing for me to protect the canvas as well as hanging wire. Now all I have to do is hang it! The service was great and at a very reasonable cost. I will be a repeat customer!

I have a ton of stuff to be framed, and brought the first project in a few few weeks ago, which would be a bit of a challenge: the original artwork was signed on the mat--which had become stained over the years--but I wanted to somehow preserve the signature. William did a great job reframing the artwork and preserving the original signature. I've recently dropped off a second piece of art to be reframed; I hope to gradually make progress filling my walls with beautifully-framed art that's been sitting in the back of closets, or stored unframed until now. Thank you, William!

Due to an ordering mishap for the materials, we ended up picking up the framed art pieces about a month later. The pieces had been sitting all rolled up in a tube for a number of years. The pieces were very well laid out and do not show any wrinkles. We love how the small and medium sized pieces turned out. The largest piece was a bit of a disappointment. It's sad because there was probably a lot of work done on this one. It was packaged for us to take as the place doesn't do delivery. We were sad to see upon coming home that the back paper backing had two holes where the frame met in the middle. The front glass has a scratch where the border near the frame is. I wish I had inspected it more closely at the shop. I think that this place is great if you are flexible on your timeline and have small to mid size pieces to work on. Great service, good value, and honest work. It does seem to be a one person shop. So you'll have to take that into account.
