I have to shout out other Yelpers for helping me find CR Framing & Gallery. I had a canvas that I wanted to have stretched and placed on a high quality wood frame--and I wanted it done by someone who knows their stuff when it comes to original artwork. I was thinking I'd have to go to Oakland or SF. After checking Yelp for recommendations I found Chris at CR and I was thrilled to find out the business is located less than 10 minutes from my home. I called Chris first to find out if this is the kind of work he does and then I visited. Seeing the quality of the work they do, I didn't hesitate to leave my painting to be stretched. Not only did Chris do an excellent job, he added a heavy paper backing for me to protect the canvas as well as hanging wire. Now all I have to do is hang it! The service was great and at a very reasonable cost. I will be a repeat customer! read more

I was looking for a recommendation for a framing shop for some paintings, and CR Framing came highly recommended. The shop is located a couple blocks off the main drag in Brentwood but GPS pointed the way. I found Chris friendly, knowledgeable and professional for consulting on my framing needs. Several paintings were for future sale, and one I wanted to display at home. The three paintings for sale could get a lower overall price if I selected the same frame/mats as Chris explained they pass on a quantity/materials discount. For the painting we would keep I chose a slightly more expensive frame and UV protected plexiglass. CR has a wide variety of frames and mats: one wall with frames in stock that are less expensive and have a faster turnaround, fancier frames that need to be ordered are on the opposite wall. Glass options range from normal glass all the way up to museum quality material with varying degrees of price, weight and light-protective qualities. Thinking in advance on the size of frame and mat for your picture always helps. The finished framed paintings looked great - the right frame makes such a difference! I intend to return to CR for all my framing needs in the future. read more

All I needed was a glass replacement for a frame that got damaged during a move. Chris was friendly, efficient, and had it ready in just a few days. I really appreciate local businesses like this that focus on their craft and do it well. Highly recommend! read more

VERY friendly, and you can tell it's real, not just dealing with the public. Chris spent the most time with me picking out frame material.

Great suggestions , good prices, on time completion. Chris made it a fun experience. My wife also brought in some pics to be framed and she had the same 5* experience. read more

Been using this shop for years to frame my irreplaceable artwork. The shop owner is an artist in his own right. His prices are so much more reasonable than any competitor big or small. And he completes his work on time. Cannot rate him high enough! read more

At first, most of the communication was via Yelp messaging. Once the painting arrived I took it to Chris and Melody. Chris took the time to go over how I wanted it framed. He showed me different ways it could be stretched. Melody measured the inside of my car to make sure it would fit when I brought it home. After driving home, I thought about what I had learned and realized that I needed exact measurements after looking at my wall. Chris and Melody made it happen! Needless-to-day, I am very happy with the framing. These are very nice people and take pride in their business and work. They went above and beyond. I noticed that their other customers were happy as well. Not only did a get an education on canvas paintings, I was lucky enough to meet nice people. Now the boring facts: easy to find; plenty of parking. I'm attaching to photos. One day and one night photo. read more

I had a wonderful experience at CR Framing. I was given undivided attention, guidance, patience, and recommendations. Both pieces were expertly framed, and the owner could not have been any nicer. I am so pleased with both frames, and cannot wait to present one piece to my daughter, and place a family treasure in my home. The selection was stupendous and the end result is gorgeous! I am very excited to find just the right spot for my Mom's treasured needlepoint piece - the frame perfectly highlights the rich colors in the piece. Mom is gone now, and I know she is pleased with the new frame! read more

I had SUCH a great experience with this business. I took some of my kid's handprints in to get them framed for Father's Day and I was thrilled with the pricing, how quickly they were able to fulfill the order, and how the frames turned out. I'm so sad because I moved away, and I needed to get one more thing framed and I went to Michaels...Michaels was much more expensive and I have to wait longer, AND the guy helping me was super condescending. Wish I were still in the area so I could be a CR Framing customer for life. They're the best! read more

I just wanted to thank Chris for being so great when I needed repair for one of my late father's framed paintings. Chris and his staff were so gracious, cheerful, and responsive. They did the job quickly, with care, and at a very fair price. I'm grateful and could not more highly recommend them for your framing needs. It's also a lovely art gallery, check it out. Thanks, Chris! read more

Chris is great and has an eye for color and knows exactly was frame your artwork needs! Reasonable prices too especially for such good work!

I ordered 6 27"X41" framing plexiglass and 1 22"X29" plexiglass. On the day of the pick up, only 5 27"X41" and 1 22"X29" plexiglass is available. Chris help me to move the plexiglass to my car. Then Chris said he will order the last plexiglass and send to my home directly. I was a bit upset because the last plexiglass takes about 3 weeks to arrive. Overall, I am very happy with the professional service I received from CR Framing Brentwood. read more

Chris and his wife are absolutely fantastic. Chris took his time in working through mat/frame choices with me on several prints. He cares about getting right and that I am happy. I was going to repaint my bathroom as frame I chose threw it off. He offered to change frame out and said he wants me happy! I was unable to come pick up a group of prints that had taken a while (special frame) and so they offered to come drop them off. Granted I am less than 10 minutes away, but that is some fantastic customer service! Chris is the only guy I go to for all my framing needs. He knows the business and his craft. He is professional, friendly and super easy and a joy to work with. read more

We have had several pictures framed by CR since moving to the area. Chris is very knowledgeable and does a great job. He was able to "touch up" a painting that had some damage and it looks perfect. I brought two very old Japanese scrolls for framing after checking pricing at Michael's. I love Michaels but was shocked by the prices even at 60% off and the frame was 70% off. C & R framing framed both of my large scrolls for half of Michael's cost! The frames are gorgeous. They consulted on what colors would work best with the scrolls and even repaired a few small tears. C & R Framing is Brentwood's framing gem! Don't mistake great pricing for lower quality. The quality is exceptional. read more
