This is supposed to be pecan crusted sea bass. This was a subpar piece of fish with candied pecans thrown on top at a cost of $50.

I'm so disappointed in my meal this afternoon. My only wish for my 52nd birthday was to eat dinner here. The waitress was excellent! We started with appetizers: crab claws fried, salmon bites and fried green tomatoes. The crab claws were spoiled and smelled horrible. The other 2 appetizers were EXCELLENT! My daughter had the fried shrimp with fries that were piping hot and she really enjoyed. My husband had the snapper with cold mashed potatoes but the grit cake was enjoyable while the fish was over salty. I had the pecan crusted sea bass with cold grits and cold sweet potato soufflé. The fish was lukewarm and not crusted but had candied pecans on top. My bill was over $180 with tip. I love great food and do not mind paying top dollar for it. I know pickings in Albany are slim but this place needs improvement. Crab cakes are too salty and small. Fried green tomatoes were flavorless and oily. Lobster egg roll didn't work. The Gouda grits were horrendous. The texture was like gloopy wallpaper paste. The sweet potato soufflé was awful - weird texture and bland. Without the candied pecans it wouldn't be edible. The crab stuffed grouper and ahi tuna were pretty good though. And the honey butter Brussels sprouts were nice.

Working at the local Marine Corps base in Albany GA and asked where the best fresh oysters were. They suggested The Catch in Albany GA They were correct I ordered the house oysters 1 dozen and a lager blacken shrimp. Both we fresh any very tasty

This was a busy evening but I received friendly service from the hostess and the waitress. I had the shrimp dinner - I tried poached and grilled combo. Both were very flavorful. The poached brought out the flavor of the fresh shrimp which paired well with the spicy cocktail sauce. The honey butter brussel sprouts were tasty with the honey butter toning down the cabbage flavor. More items on the menu looked interesting so I will definitely be back to sample.overall a clean and interesting place to have dinner.

I got the "Shrimp & Grits" but my grits were disgusting. If you don't like your grits fried , this place is not for you .

Food is just not worth the price or any price for that matter. Sent meal back. The sautéed veggies were good though.

Delicious. But a little overpriced. Recommend grabbing drinks somewhere else and then eating here. Margarita was $12 and nothing special.

Very, very good food that is fresh and healthy. A bit pricey but well worth it for a fun night out with your sweety!

Having evacuated to Albany to escape Milton's path my cousin and her husband treated my husband and…read moreI, and our neighbor, to dinner at this restaurant. I think she wanted something to take my mind off the impending storm. This did the trick. For me, being able to watch the chef make my meal was just as good, if not better, than the meal. This was my first hibachi experience and I would have to say it was a good one. My friend and I started with an order of sushi. We got the deep fried crab delight roll. It was very good. My husband and my neighbor both got the Sukiyaki steak dinner. It came with soup, salad, and fried rice. I got a side of scallops and had a few bites of my husband's rice. The rice was good, but the scallops were a little over cooked, at least in my opinion. My husband really enjoyed his meal, as did my friend. Our chef was fun to watch and he was, well, fun! While I have no plans to be in the area again (at least not for the reason I was there this time) I would eat here again.

Save yourself the sweat and frustration: 1. Leave Mikata's parking lot. 2. Turn left on Dawson Road. 3. Drive 2 minutes to Tokyo Japanese Steakhouse. 4. Actually enjoy good food and service. Skip Mikata -- Tokyo is the better choice every time.

We requested seating near the front, but was informed that the waitress for that area wasn't on until 12:00. Mind you, it was 11:50 and we could have waited the 10 minutes, but apparently, that didn't seem to be an option. I didn't want to press my point, so we just settled at a seat farther in the back. Our server took our order, but it really seemed as if he didn't want to be there. Not very attentive, but not openly rude. We did notice that he was much more attentive to the family that was seated next to us. But, I suppose these situations just happen. Perhaps he didn't like the way we looked - who knows! Anyway, we started off with the cheesy biscuits and the fried green tomatoes that were delicious (though a bit greasy). It also seemed that the cheese in the cheesy biscuits wasn't melted. We actually thought there were bits of carrots in the bread. Not sure what kind of cheese doesn't melt when baked. Anyway, our table entrees included fried shrimp, fried catfish, grilled snapper, and steak. We all really did enjoy the food, though we had to send back an order (steak arrived well done, but medium rare is what was ordered); we finally received the steak as requested, but after the rest of the table had already started eating (or our food would have gotten cold); never good when an order has to be sent back due to the server's error - this just throws the whole table off. Anyway, did receive the correct order a little over ten minutes later. The good food may draw me back to the restaurant when I am in town again, but I will be sure that we have a different server.
