We were staying in the hotel nearby and were looking for a happy hour. The website indicated they had one, with several appetizers at half price. When we got there, only the pretzel with beer cheese sauce was half price and the beers were only $1 off. Not the greatest happy hour menu. They had several good choices for meals, so we went ahead and stayed. We shared a chicken bacon ranch flatbread and some Wisconsin cheese curds. The curds were slightly undercooked and kind of clumped together. I thought they were still yummy, but my husband didn't care for them. The flatbread was good, and his beer was good. Lemme start this off with- it's a hotel bar. We weren't aware of that when we were searching for dinner and stumbled upon this place. That being said, it's a really good bar. Super clean inside and they had so many local and craft beer options. We started off with the loaded sidewinder fries and they were delicious! Our brats were both served hot and packed with flavor. Up front, very nice bar tender. But... she was working alone. Despite not being very busy she needed help. Several people walked in and out waiting. This night they were out of bratwurst, sauerkraut, guacamole and pizza. The problem is that makes up a significant part of their menu. There were three working TVs strategically placed around the bar. Despite tonight (Sunday) being a night for wild card NFL playoff games, 1 tv was showing golf, 1 Fox News and the third some kind of religious preacher man. Orders the large pretzel with beer cheese and a spicy Thai flat bread. The food was good and the beer selection was huge. I also had a TailGate Tenn Golden Lager. I stayed at the Holiday Inn Convention Center in Pigeon Forge for a few days. Casual Pint is the bar inside the Holiday Inn. It's very very nice. They have over 40 beers on tap. The Bartender "Mike" had great recommendations to try based on your likes. He was gracious to give you a sample of anything to try before you ordered your drink. I tried a few I would have never tried and really enjoyed them. They have "happy hour" beginning at 3:00 with 1/2 price starters and $1 off a pint. The chicken quesadilla was very good and the wings were also good. I didn't try the pizza but several people had them and they looked good. I would recommend Casual Pint whether you are staying or just dropping in for a cold beer and great conversation. Mike made good recommendations for dinner options in Pigeon Forge also. read more

This review is simply based on the impatience, condescension, and generally poor disposition of the bartender. While the other employee was outstanding, friendly and helpful, the bartender wanted to give his opinion rather than trying to actually answer the questions asked to help identify the beer we were looking for on draft. As he was pouring (which the foam on all pours was excessive and our crowler was probably 4/5 full) our growler, he was loudly commenting to another patron that it was dumb to pay more for a growler than what two crowlers cost. I'd probably be more upset if it wasn't so passive aggressively lame. We were in Pigeon Forge in July for a family vacation. We are huge fans of the Casual Pint in Toledo, OH and were stoked to see they had one in Pigeon Forge. It is brand new and worth the trip. If you aren't familiar with them, they have a bunch of draft beers from breweries big and small. There is bound to be something you like. You can get flights or pint. Their food menu is great, too and is more like appetizer options than a "dinner." The staff was helpful and the guy who opened it was there and he is incredibly friendly.
