4.5 rounded up…read more I've used South Texas Carpet a couple of times for a rental property, and overall, I've been very satisfied with their service. When tenants used a home steamer that didn't effectively pick up water, leaving the carpet soaked in spots, they quickly responded with humidifiers, steam cleaning and enzyme treatment. Later, unsupervised pets caused some carpet damage, including ripped areas. Thankfully, South Texas Carpet offers carpet repair, which was a huge relief. Standout features of this company is their responsiveness and reliability and the potential to use them for other services like tile/grout cleaning, air duct cleaning etc. They've always been dependable whenever I've needed them. The only reason I said 4.5 stars is that they recently requested payment upfront and while they were accommodating--considering my reluctance to pay large amounts upfront due to past experiences with small businesses--they kept mentioning a 20% late charge if I didn't pay within the same day. As a repeat customer who always pays directly after the work is checked, I was surprised by this change and their hesitation to leave an invoice since I wasn't present. It's their right to charge extra late fees for Next Day Payments, and perhaps they have been burned by customers and are being more adamant about timely payments? But it wasn't me and I felt slightly offended. Additionally, I think their enzyme treatment for bacteria and microbes could benefit from a longer application time for stronger odors. They returned once for a persistent smell, and while they re-applied the treatment, I believe letting it sit longer could improve results and reduce the need for additional trips/treatments in the long run. Nevertheless, this is the best carpet cleaner I've had in San Antonio. I will definitely call them again for future services, and I appreciate that they're willing to return if needed.

We first communicated via messenger to make sure that they would accept the job (apparently, everyone doesn't "clean" ottomans.) I dropped it off to their shop (for a lower price than on-site cleaning) and 2 days later, I picked it up. The owner, Carlos, was very knowledgeable-told me more about it than the seller. And on top of that, he gave me an unexpected deal because of a stain on the side that they couldn't get out...which was no real issue for me. Great job, guys-I recommend them & will use them again for any future carpet/upholstery cleaning needs!!!!

A couple months ago I had the Steamer's Carpet Care team come and clean a set of large couches that…read morehad some stubborn dirt stuck in them. I tried getting it out myself but never had much luck. Two technicians showed up early on a Saturday morning to work around my busy weekday schedule. They were very thorough and completed everything very quickly. The couches took a little while to dry completely but they looked pretty great when all was said and done. After working with the owner (Jon) and the Steamer's team a few more times since then, I cannot say enough good things about them. Jon is a community driven individual who genuinely cares about his customers and the reputation of his business. They offer a ton of different home services and I would recommend them for any one of them purely based on the courtesy and professionalism I saw from Steamer's Carpet Care.

Mr. Jimmy and Mr. Darian showed up 20 minutes before the estimated arrival window, which worked out wonderfully. They bootied up, inspected each of the rooms, and got right to work. The cleaning solution has a strong scent of wintergreen, but it's not unpleasant, and it dissipates quickly after getting sucked up at the end of the process. Still far and away a better smell than chemicals or gag-inducing perfume. The fellas were done with the four small/medium rooms in under 45 minutes. Any previous dog stains were *GONE* and the carpet looked terrific. I wasn't around at the 4-6 hour mark, but the next day when I tested the carpet, it was perfectly dry. I'm very pleased and understand why Steamer's is so highly rated. Happy to further contribute to that rating!
