I got four cookies. It was excited to try this highly reviewed place. It's a very basic location…read more You walk in your order cookies you walk out. No thrills. But let's get to the food: The snickerdoodle - 8/10 space - this is a good snickerdoodle. Snickerdoodles are one of my favorite cookies and I'm pretty big snob about that. it was an expensive snickerdoodle, but I really enjoyed it. Good amount of sugar and cinnamon and a great tasting cookie. Oatmeal chocolate chip - 9/10 - this cookie was almost perfect. My favorite cookie is oatmeal cookies. I prefer butterscotch chips and oatmeal cookies, yeah, I know I'm weird, but this was delightful. I prefer my cookies to be just a little bit chewer than this one was, otherwise, it would've gotten a perfect score. Peanut butter, chocolate - 7/10 - inevitably, peanut butter cookies always just seem to be a little dry to me. This was the least moist cook of the batch. But it was still good. I think this will be my wife's favorite when I give her the rest of my cookie. Chocolate salted caramel brownie - 10/10 - this was pretty much perfection. It was very sweet. It was the sweetest cookie that I tried today. But it was amazing. My daughter is going to freak out when I give her a bite to this. This is just up your alley if you're a chocolate lover, who loves gooey delicious cookies. highly recommend this one. Overall, good location, definitely would try if I was in the area, very happy with my purchase.

April 2026 Idaho Falls, Idaho…read more I was surprised to see this place is attached to a hotel when I drove up. Typically I do not eat at restaurants that are attached to a hotel. However, Yelp told me it was a 4.3 star place to eat. I asked if they had any nonalcoholic beers. The waiter brings me a can of beer to show me what it is. When I tell him that I will have it. He says well I'll just take it back and put it in a glass. So they bring me a 16 ounce glass with the beer poured in and it only filled 12 ounces. I ordered the Nacho Mama's Dip. It is a chicken nacho dip. The waiter told me it was a large portion so I am eating that just as my meal. My husband ordered the fish and chips. When you walk in the front door, the bar is right there. Pretty large bar for one to sit and enjoy a drink or a meal. To the right our booths and high tables that line the wall as well as some booths in the middle of the restaurant that make you feel like you are sitting under a gazebo. There are tables and booths on the far wall as well. The tables are cut to appear like a live edge wood top table. The booths sit too low and the table sits high. Even my husband who is 6'2 felt an imbalance with the table to chair. My nachos come out and the cheese sauce is dripping off the side of the dish. It is an absolute mess. The nacho chips are off to the side. The toppings consist of black olives and onions with four pieces of diced tomatoes. Accompanied by a side plastic dish is salsa, sour cream, and guacamole. The guacamole is definitely not homemade. My biggest complaint is the cheese sauce is definitely from a can. The cheese that they did put on the nachos was a slice of cheese that was not even melted. See picture. Reminds me that I am eating in a restaurant attached to a hotel. There are no beans. The chicken is mixed in with the cheese sauce. And it is sparingly there. This dish is absolutely disgusting! The fish and chips were terrible. They're served in a basket with four pieces of fish and they sit upon fresh cut fries. The fish was not good. The batter has a odd taste. Perhaps the oil it is fried in? I think I would've been better off going to Culver's and having their fish platter. Although my beYr was in a can, it was very cold. It was truly the best part of my meal. I am so disappointed that yelp led me to this place. This is my warning to others. Stay away. We had two completely different meals and neither of them were good.

Original: My review for this place is not current. I had a…read morepretty bad experience here a few years back so we will never go again. WHAT HAPPENED: When they're busy, they don't have enough servers on. This was something we had already been warned about, and got to witness first hand. Also, without informing us, they charge for soda refills! Seems the server was padding the check, thanks to two teenagers with us, and they drink soda. I had a couple of beers that I expected to be charged for, but my other half's coffee refills?, mann come-on. The place is overly priced to begin with, the food was not fantastic. They were riding on their legacy name. Surviving by tourist seasons of the unsuspecting. I gave it two stars because the food wasn't bad. I can say that the experience was not worth the bill. I did see the prices before we ordered and did not hesitate. However, those prices raised my expectations. To top it all, the atmosphere is dark and cramped. Never again! It might seem petty to not give a second chance if you think that only the bill is the reason. The lack of transparency, price to quality, and shoddy service combined. I think there are equally if not better restaurants in Idaho Falls. It's not worth the price here. UPDATE: with a vengeance! Mitch and Justin at The SnakeBite showed me just how much things can change under new management/ownership. My first review stated that it was a couple of years ago, lol Mitch helped me sort out the timeline, and it was actually close to 6 years ago. Guess I'm a little out of the loop, because I was informed that 100Proof Hospitality bought the restaurant about 4 years ago, long after I had sworn the place off forever. I know some might not appreciate an old experience popping up like brand new in a review. I get that in hindsight, but these new owners didn't flinch, and they are savvy--I tell you that. They turned someone (me) who would've never returned, into their regular customer. To start, the two teens have grown, it was only the two of us, which didn't matter because they no longer charge for refills under the new ownership. We were hosted by..well, a young man who was a little less than personable. He wasn't bad, typical in fact, but after experiencing the management and our server--the rest of the team outshines him a bit. It was late lunch, so they were still busy, but had enough open seating for the two of us. Laney--our server, is the coolest lady to ever walk the planet. She was hustling, laughing, smiling and talking with everybody. Just magnificent ambiance. She handled my undecidedness in style, answering every single one of my questions with complete honesty. "So if I put pepperjack on this, will it ruin the flavor of the cheese sauce." Direct eye contact, slowly nodding with a cringing look, "yeahhh probably." Great pallet to boot cuz she was so right. The Blue SnakeBite Burger--mann that sauce!, is what "zesty blue" is all about! I also got a Stuffed Mushrooms appetizer. I hope I remember this exactly, but it's basically a spinach and artichoke dippy sauce stuffed inside of two very large portobello crowns, a fantastic drizzle and roasted red peppers on top! I would eat those every meal for the rest of my life! My other half got the Haddock with Waffle Fries, added Coconut Shrimp and Salad. She was too busy eating to tell me what she thought lol--loved it all. We sat, had met the dazzling Laney( who can bring people back all herself) ordered, and--get this--I ordered through Laney, a beer from the bar. The bar shortly later poured the wrong beer (think person ordered wrong), which was the same draft that I ordered. So over to our table comes the smiling and booming bartender with the beer out stretched to me, "You want a free beer"--well, yeah. The kicker: Nobody knew yet, including management, we were the "2nd look" couple. SnakeBite and 100Proof Hospitality, unknowingly pulled off a mic drop. Prices slightly higher than chains, and worth every cent! We will be back. So should you!

I'm pretty sure they lightly sprinkled some ranch seasoning on them and now I'm refusing to eat them any other way! Coming into the Sinclair station at Grandview and Foote in Idaho Falls, I couldn't help but feel…read morelike I was about to dock at Jurassic Island. I mean, the big green Sinclair Dino standing high on Shaka's Tiki Island theme is for some, absolutely cinematic. Sitting right where Skyline runs out airport shuttles, and FedEx trucks, while also being at the 15 East and West & 20 North and South lanes (fitting the nickname Shaka's Country Lanes, though this might have more to do with surfing lines/lanes, idk, fits either way), the Sinclair has a high enough canopy to fit at least bobtail trucks, along with everything you need to get back on the road, from windshield cleaner to air compressor. To finish off a travelers vehicle needs, Is all your fluids and air fresheners inside Shaka's Oasis convenience store and deli. This store is very cool and a completely realistic atmosphere of its theme. When shopping the aisles; getting everything you could need to continue your road trip, stock up your game night needs, or even just grab a snack prepare to rummage through the island jungle. This little place is just PACKED with your typicals, and items rarely found in other stores. If you're into trying something new, definitely come here, you'll probably find it. There is no way to forget that you are at Shaka's, like rare and exotic creatures, the items seem indigenous to the store. The Tiki vibe hovers all around you, as you navigate your way back to the "Tiki Hut" located in the store. (Not sure if they call it that, but I do). They have a little kitchen set up for serving up some pretty yummy Made-to order foods, and a small dining counter. Here you can get caloried up, man! I am known to put away quite a bit of food for my size (got breathing issues, constantly burning calories, yet I stay pretty active). I usually order two main entree pieces, and a side, dessert, or both. We visited specifically Shaka's Hut for breakfast the other day. I ordered a breakfast burrito, a turkey wrap, and had a little strawberry cream cheese cookie from a display case of crafted treats (Pretty sure these are brought in from another location). OMGosh! That burrito was glorious. Needed both hands to hold it. The sausage was delicious, the eggs taste fresh cracked, and the Pepper Jack was nutty and and a little zesty just like it's supposed to be. That cookie; whoever makes it, should be enlisted to award them to gold medal Olympians! I mean this was a delicious creamy sweet crumbly little thing. I want to take it home and name it. Then I had this massive amount of turkey deli meat & cheese all fluffed up with lettuce, and smoothed out with, I think Ranch. Uhmm--I wasted money. After I got my food and I saw the size, I gave half of my turkey wrap away to a gentleman waiting for his own order. I still went full tilt before I could eat everything. This is getting pretty long so, like the tortilla around the turkey I'm going to have to wrap it up. You won't be disappointed going to Shaka's. They have regularly scheduled promotions, and specials. The staff is super friendly, great people. This is a place you can tell; the owner and staff all love their island. 7*s.
