ALTERNATOR LEFT ME NO ALTERNATIVE I was on my way back home…read moreto WA on my road trip to Arizona on May 16, 2023, when the battery light came on in my truck. So I asked Siri on my iPhone to take me to the nearest Ford dealer. She took me to Goode Ford in Burley ID. Nick was my advisor. This was about in the middle of the day. Turns out I needed a new alternator, which was no surprise. I also had them replace the serpentine belt. They were able to complete the job on such short notice by the end of the day, though not with original Ford parts. But Nick did advise me of this and I did OK the use of aftermarket parts. AFTER 1 1/2 YEARS, AFTERMARKET ALTERNATOR + SERPENTINE S'ALLRIGH' The final bill was $943.53(BTW, they accept credit cards, but not MobilePay) as Nick told me that it was difficult to get underneath there to remove the old alternator and put the new one in. I felt OK about it, especially since I consulted a mechanically inclined friend of mine on my phone while in the waiting room. I'm sure an independent mechanic would not have charged as much. But then if my replacement alternator were to go out, I could take it to my nearest Ford dealer to get it corrected, instead of having to go all the way back to Burley Idaho. MY "TRUST ISSUE" A BUST? OR JUST? While we were talking about the final estimate of repairs, and while they were still working on my truck, I politely mentioned to the effect that I was from out of state and therefore was at their mercy re: final cost, as I was not yet comfortable with their final cost estimate. Nick politely replied that I have "trust issues," despite my mentioning that I was from out of state. This left a little something to be desired. Instead, a statement of understanding my out-of-state situation and an attempt at words that would comfortably justify the final cost in my mind would have been in order. I say this especially since I later noticed after I got it back, that the receipt showed there was road test mileage, even though the vehicle actually had fewer miles on it after I got it back than what was recorded on the "mileage out" on the receipt! (see photo) I did not however bring this up to Nick after the fact, but instead just assumed that they estimated it and went on my way. NO ALTERNATIVE UNIVERSE NECESSARY SINCE NEW ALTERNATOR STILL OK Nevertheless, because of Nick's calm carriage, (vs a demonic demeanor) and because they were able to get my vehicle out that day, and because a year and a half later, all is well with the replacement parts. I'd give this place 3 1/2 stars if I could, and would take it there again if I had to do it over again.

We were in town again and had a flat tire. Of course, we came to Young Chrysler and were met by Service Representative Madison. Even though she was short staffed she managed to find the time to get our tire fixed under one hour. And she did not charge us for the service. First time this has ever happened to us. We came back a few days later for routine maintenance. Of course Madison greeted us. Madison and the staff at this dealership know how to provide a positive customer experience. Below is a review that I gave in July 2016. It is now January 2018 and the service we received continues to be excellent. They deserve five stars since their service department continues to provide excellent consistent service. We are visiting again today on January 8, 2018 - we traveled to Rupert from Minnesota to visit family and had our Dodge Ram truck serviced. Randy Terry and the service staff were very helpful, friendly and courteous just as they were over 2 1/2 years ago. Keep up the excellent work. July 2016 Review: The service department is excellent!! We were from out of town on vacation and needed an oil change and a check up on our Chrysler Town and Country. We called the service department and got an appointment the very next morning. We were impressed by the speed of their service and attention to details. The service manager Randy Terry was very helpful, friendly and courteous. They went above and beyond with additional service without charge (i.e. installed our front license plate and checked our brakes and A/C at our request). This is the third time we have been to this dealership for service because of their outstanding service department.

After some few back n forth, we agreed on price sight unseen thinking that the sales person would disclose everything wrong with the van. By the way, the only reason i looked at that Van is because the color matches my fleet, that was it. I asked Rey Vega to drive the van, look over it and disclose any thing wrong. Found out , he never did. Long story short.. Vehicle was delivered after some 2 weeks , found out that the vans emission has been deleted. They sold me a DELETED VAN which is illegal under the federal Clean Air Act. Tampering with or removing emissions equipment (like DPF, EGR, or SCR), and recent EPA rules mean that even with proposed deregulations, this remains a federal crime. No disclosure whatsoever. That's one. Secondly, the complete REAR END ASSEMBLY of the van is gone. Sales man Rey Vega got me to speak to MOSES MEDINA who was soo rude, he was straight out spilling thrash, very condescending, very dishonest and i decided not to talk to him further. As at today the 13th day of May, the van i bought from this dealership on 2nd of February 2026 is still at the shop. I sent pictures of everything to the Sales man who admitted in his messages that he was clueless. I would be surprised to see anyone reach out to me but i am currently making consultations on my option and to put this out here for other buyers. Every tire shop in the city was closed (it was 9:00 PM), and we were desperate for a solution. Thankfully, we had a friend who used to work at Young Buick GMC in Burley! Our friend made a few phone calls and the company came to our rescue by sending in a technician (after hours!) to patch our flat. Dan Alvey and his team had us in and out within 30 minutes, and we were able to make it back to Utah safely that night. Absolutely amazing customer service! Thank you to everyone at Young Buick GMC!

Bought a 2104 Outback from Goode in Burley, was told the service department had gone over the car…read moreand there were no problems. I work seasonally at Yellowstone, the car started jerking and shuddering on the way back to the park. Check engine light went on the next day. A mechanic at the Yellowstone garage checked it out, informed me that the rear wheels are not getting power, the AWD vehicle is functioning as front wheel drive only, so serious drive train issues, rear wheel bearings are shot, and cylinder one was misfiring. The Subaru dealer in Bozeman confirmed the issues, and estimated $3,000 in repairs, also warning me that the car will probably need a transmission soon. General Manager Graydon Funk offered to rebate $1,500, now he won't return phone calls or emails. Worst experience with a business of my life, and I'm 65.

No upselling on anything that I didn't need. They could have tried to get me in a new truck but they didn't.
