He puts our cups on the pump because his hands are full and he was going to look for a trash can and the owner jumps out of her car and starts yelling at him saying she is not his mother and he said you don't have a trash can and she starts threatening to turn the gas pump off. Then her mom gets out and helps her take the bar off the front door and she goes inside. Then her mom tells my husband they don't have a trash service that comes out there. They locked the door and was closed. For being "in the middle of nowhere" they should be servicing for people needing to use restrooms and they should hall trash off. Other people had left their trash there. It was crazy. Only seen things like this in the movies. We got a little gas and left. Further down the road there is another rest stop. My husband wanted me to use the restroom but I was to scared they may be related being in the middle of nowhere.

It's a good way to pass some of the long road trip. I didn't look the business up prior to stopping, though my husband pointed out the poor rating. Sometimes the mom and pop stores are the best experiences, compared to chain stores, not so here. We stopped simply for gas (overpriced, as previously mentioned by others). Like many travelers, we figured why not get a snack and go to the bathroom. There is no public restroom, and as mentioned by everyone the person (man, in this case) behind the counter was not the friendliest. The customer area of the store is probably 8x10, and the snack selection was very limited. As others noted, I'd try to stop at the gas station before or hold off until after, if possible. Unless you are looking for the entertainment of interacting with the staff and animals. 1 star because that's the minimum you can give and their gas price sign made me laugh. Though not nearly as much as this Yelp page and the comments.
