The Cascade was off on my car and I pulled in on fumes it was way early in the morning and the pumps weren't working so he thought it was a dead gas station and this guy pulls up and I tell him sorry the gas station isn't working and he goes yes it does I'm the owner. The pumps only work if he's there but boy was my group and I in for surprise once we got into the building. It was serendipitous that my gas gauge was off and that I was pulling in with just fumes. read more

No garbages, no bathrooms. Gas pumps don't automatically stop (is that even legal?) so there was a nice puddle of wasted gasoline. A fence of the west side of the building that says "high voltage fence." For a gas station called the middle of nowhere, you would think they would have services that people in the middle of nowhere might need. read more

I stepped put of my car into a huge puddle of gas ruining completely a 600 dollar pair of orthopedic shoes. No efforts being made to clean up any of it. They had no bathroom and no water available to add to the radiator, they had no garbage cans and there is a shotgun sitting on the counter when you walk in to pay. Even though there is a petting zoo its not kid friendly at all. Gas is also about 1.30 more than anything 20 miles down the road. Terrible service. Price gouging. 15 dollars for 4 nerd ropes. Trash is piled all around the pumps because there are no garbage cans with cups and bottles of pee because there is no bathroom. read more

My wife and I stopped on our road trip after seeing a billboard for the petting zoo. We figured we would fuel up, take a bathroom break and visit some alpacas. As we pulled up, the building and sign looked like something out of a horror movie. The gas station was closed (I guess they aren't open on Sundays) and there was a sign in the door saying that there are NO bathrooms available. There were a couple run down cars parked in front of the gas pumps. The only sign of life were some desperate looking animals. I would have loved to feed them, but the store where you buy their feed was closed. Bummer. Strange place. I'll probably pass this one next time I'm in the area. read more

Absurdly overpriced gas and no restrooms. I was literally peeing my pants and the old guy inside wouldn't let me use the restroom that is undoubtedly available for him. I frantically searched for a place outside, but there was nothing. I then did the only thing I could. I mustered a discrete position beside my car and did what I had to do. I remember him telling us that he loved to make people smile and laugh, the petting zoo animals, i believe he rescued. They are so sweet and tame! I see the negative reviews about this place but for a gas station with various animals to pet and feed, I thought it was a great stop. The woman who worked at the gas station was incredibly kind and my dog enjoyed meeting the animals with permission of course. The store inside is tiny with very limited options and no bathroom but for a place to simply get gas and meet animals, it was great. This would be a perfect pitstop for kids. Oh my goodness! Unbelievable! My husband and I were low on gas due to problems with the pumps at a previous station. A large sign on the door declares, NO BATHROOM. A surly man stood behind the counter with A RIFLE within easy reach!!! I asked, "Is the sign for real?" I thought perhaps it was a joke and he got a kick out of teasing people...but no joke. I told him I didn't really need to go, I'd come in to take a look and buy a snack, but I'd changed my mind. When I went back outside, I found that jerk HAD SHUT OFF THE PUMPS US!!!!!! We got enough gas to go on - not really wanting to fill the tank at $4.55 a gallon - but this is ridiculous!!!! Also, he should be reported to the Humane Society for cruelty to animals. Despite all comments to the contrary, we found the owner to be a good and kind man. We found ourselves in need of a lug wrench after finding our car was missing one. He not only loaned it to us, knowing it would be after business hours when it would be returned he did so willingly and without hesitation. We didn't purchase anything from him before the request was made. His genuine response was simply to offer what help he could to three stranded travelers with no expectation of remuneration or reward. Going forward, I will repay his kindness by gassing up here, getting some snacks and saying hello to my new friend. And of course, giving a little bit back to the alpacas and burros. read more

Do NOT be misled by their giant billboard. It boasts a "petting zoo", so you'd think it was child friendly (as in, they probably offer full services, like a bathroom), but it's nothing more than a couple sad animals and gas. I didn't need gas, but thought it would be a good place to stop and let the kids feed the animals, and use the bathroom. Nope. Sign on the door that clearly says 'NO BATHROOM'. That's right: no bathroom at a gas station. I read another review were the reviewer said they were told the garbage can was on the on ramp. That review was three years ago, and I didn't read it until after I visited, but no joke--there IS a garbage can located on the on ramp. When we saw it we thought it was weird as hell. I apologize for my lack of a picture, which I usually include in my reviews. If I could give 0 stars, I most certainly would. I pulled off the highway to grab some coffee and fill up. There was an empty car at each side of one of the pumps. Keep in mind, these cars were stopped at a pump, not a parking spot. Both cars were empty, so I naturally assumed the drivers were inside. I put my credit card in the pump, which was $0.80 higher than a Shell station not too far away, and the screen asked me to please see the cashier. I go up to the door, and it's locked, with a sign that says "be back in a bit." So I get to thinking, where on earth are the people who own those two cars if the door is locked? On top of my suspicion of murder going on inside, there were half dead, barely able to move, farm animals in a little fenced area off to the side. Do not get gas here if you value your life. read more

I cannot stress enough how terrible this place is. I once stopped here with my three year old who was desperate for a bathroom only to be treated rudely and forced to spend a certain amount of money before we could go in. That was eight years ago and it's only gotten worse. Now they don't offer a bathroom and the only snacks they offer are expired and overpriced. I'm sure the gas is overpriced as well. The owner is rude to her customers. The animals outside are just baking in the hot sun. If I could give this place 0 stars I would. I hate hate hate this place. I hated this place. It is precisely in the middle of nowhere when travelers need to go... but no restrooms offered. They put an electrified wire so desperate people cannot access the back of the premises, supposedly to relieve themselves. Wouldn't be easier to put a couple of honey buckets instead? If you're passing through Southeastern Idaho on I-84 and you come across this sign, drive on by. The store owner refused to wear a mask or even let me prop the door to his tiny little vestibule of a store area because "this is my store and I'll do what I want." He also told me to "educate yourself about the virus." (My mother is a nurse, I know all I need to know, thanks.) He's apparently infamous for this kind of behavior. This establishment should be out of business, for so many reasons!!!!! While driving on the highway, their advertising sign tries to lure in customers by promoting an alpaca, gas, and they claim to be the only gas station for 60 miles (or so), which is a lie. After getting gas and being severely disappointed, we saw a real gas station/truck stop only about 20 miles away on the same highway. While they did have an adorably cute alpaca outside of their gas station, locked up. You can purchase 4 tiny grains of food from a candy machine to feed the alpaca and sheep for $.25. There was ABSOLUTELY no water anywhere in sight for the animals who were penned in the small area without any shade or other animal goodies available, it was 95 degrees out on my stop here, and not even a container for water. SHAMEFUL! There was nobody monitoring the animals or people's interactions with them, so anything could happen and I saw kids smacking and yelling at them. Of course, parents to these types of brats never seem to watch their kids or be around when their demonic tendencies show. Their gas was almost $1 more per gallon, they don't have a card processor at the pumps, no window cleaning supplies, and no bathroom, at all (even when spending $50 at this dump). They have no coolers inside so the drinks were in troths with melted ice that had become warm water, nothing was cold. I cannot understand how a place like this can keep open. Everything was overpriced and the snacks were old and stale. The woman working was not friendly and pretty out of it, like she seemed to not be mentally stable, or fully coherent. It WAS NOT RELIEVING to see her loaded gun behind the register while she was belittling customers and yelling at them. I cannot say it enough, please don't support this business! We pulled off the road to change diapers but saw the "no bathrooms" sign & changed them IN OUR CAR 20 feet from the gas station & a distrusting man with a truck pulled up to us all fast & told us we couldn't park there. He said the space was clearly marked(literally everywhere says no parking) & he didn't want to tow or boot our car. Taking our biz elsewhere, which is a bummer bc it could be a great regular stop for anyone with kids. read more

This is the weirdest, loneliest, and most unwelcoming stop I have ever experienced, and have stopped here a few times. The people are rude and insolent. The two owners I assume. According to most of the other reviews, I can see others have experienced the same experience. If you are ever traveling on I-84 in this area, gas and get your necessities at Heyburn, twenty miles westbound, or Snowville, to the east a few more miles. These people don't want to see you, or want your business. I saw in another review, they pack a gun in plain view behind the counter, so I guess they think they can treat people like dirt, with no reprecussions. So, if you do stop here, you'd better behave accordingly. I hope the farm animals are taken care of in this moonscaped, seemingly hostile place. Be careful, in 'the middle of nowhere.' Just to preface, I'm not an animal person, especially llamas cause they spit... So I didn't visit the "petting zoo" area. My friend and I stopped in here to use the restroom and buy more drinks. The "rattlers" cracked me up. Just look! Don't be a scaredy cat. They've got the regular drinks and snacks, but they also have very nice handmades! I got a super cute apron for my daughter, a potato bag, and a couple extras for cheap! They also had knitted mittens, beautifully crocheted alpaca hats, and other sewed items. Some of these reviews are silly or scarey. This is a locally owned business, not some Love's truck stop that you can show up at and leave a mess in their bathroom. This is a gas station and convenience store on an otherwise lonely stretch of road. If their gas is one dollar more than the rest of the country, then either fill up before you hit the road, or call the AAA to help when your car runs out of gas. I'm not a fan of paying high prices for gas, but from what I can tell, these people aren't doing anything wrong or immoral. This is just a small business that you can stop at, buy some snacks, buy some gas, look at the view, and move along on your way. This place is in the middle of no where, but it's a nice place to stop, and get some supplies before moving on. The people who run it have a sense of humor, and I remember the first time I went in their the customer who came in behind me, looked at the rattler cage and asked in a dumbfounded manner if that was supposed to be a joke. I've been there twice when traveling between Idaho and Utah. I get lunch items (sandwhich, egg, candy bar, drink, etc). I have not bought gas from this place, because my motorbike only has a five gallon tank, and when I travel on unfamliiar roads, I frequently stop to top off the tank, because I never know when I'll next see a gas station. Driving from Salt Lake City to Sun Valley, my mom and I stopped here with my 3yo in search of a restroom. They had alpacas and donkeys outside in a fenced area (though it was 95 degrees outside!) with a shed for shade. My daughter thought they were fun to see and if we hadn't been in a hurry for the restroom, we would've bought food pellets for her to feed them. We entered to store (didn't need gas, thank goodness since their prices are a little high) and asked where the bathroom was. The surly cashier was disinterested and casually told us they had no bathroom. Wha?!??? I think they actually do have a bathroom but it was out of order - I wish he would've just told us that! We bough two cold-ish diet cokes from the metal tub and we're on our way (to a rest stop further down the highway for a restroom!). All in all, a quirky stop but with no restroom, not so convenient. Gas station was fine but DON'T listen to the lady working there who you would think would know stuff about the area she's in but when I asked where the closest restroom was since "they don't have one" she told me 10 miles either way. Since I had to go extremely bad and assured her the direction I just came from was at least 17 miles away With no rest stop, she insisted it's 10 miles either way. Just filled my tank with gas at this place. I walked in after to see if they had restrooms, no. I asked if they had a garbage I could use. The younger light haired kid working the front told me it was off the on ramp to the freeway. I couldn't hear him as he spoke softly. I thought he said it was outside. Because he had to repeat himself, he became really irritated, repeated it and then rolled his eyes looking off to one side and made a face. I told him ill take my business elsewhere. Wish I had spent my money somewhere else. I don't care if you're in the middle of nowhere, you're not the only place. They have jack***es outside.....and apparently inside.
