About a year ago, The Car Boot Shop tried out the business suicide tactic of posting a notice in its window declaring that customers would have to pay €2 to come in and browse, which they could then redeem off a purchase. What? Really? I have to pay to come in your shop? And if I don't find anything you keep my money? I think I'll just wait for my bus quietly now.
Thankfully, the notice is no more and you are free to browse without being hit up for cash. This is a good thing, as I love car boot sales, even more so when they are in shop form, and this place always has some quirky, interesting stuff packed into its shelves.
