Charming vintage clothing and accessories store. If you have money and a few hours to spare who knows what sort of gems you might find here? I was quite impressed with their collection of leather bags and satchels. Very nice, and very 'in' at the moment, but don't be thinking that because these bizzos are second-hand they'll have a tiny pricetag. Expect to pay around 30 to 40 euros for a decent bag in top condition. There is a whole section of men's clothing on the basement level, so although from the outside this may look like a women's store, fellas - be sure to get yourselves down there for a spot of vintage shopping. Upstairs they have more of the same and a rack of clothing that's reduced (prices from around 10 euro). Nothing much on the sale rack was worth buying, in my opinion, but I don't profess to be the queen of style or forward fashion, so have a look for yourself! Not the sort of place you'd shop for a crazy party outfit (unless you're loaded with cash) but definitely a place to nab some cute, one-off treasures to keep in your wardrobe forever.

Celebs love this place and stylists for 'top Irish fashion show' are always in here searching out vintage 'finds'. As for me I haven't got a club about fashion or vintage and what not so what draws me to this shop of delights is the funky one of a kind coats, hats, bags and belts. They are old school and originals and as a result very good quality, excellent stitching, real fabrics and will last another life time. The shoes here are great too, if you can find them in your size. I think feet have expanded along with waist lines in the last generation as I struggle to find vintage shoes in my monstrous size 7! The staff here are lovely and will hold things for you and you can make them an offer on items too, but just remember this is not your Costa del Sol market and don't haggle! This is good quality stuff!

If you're in to vintage, and like a good rummage, then this is far and away the place for you. If you're not, don't bother. Those of you with a real eye for fashion will be in heaven, but those who just can't figure out how an outfit should look, no matter how hard you try, this place can be a bit of a nightmare - vintage is a tough look to carry off. A bit on the pricey side, but I'm told that's what you pay for good vintage. When second-hand becomes vintage I'm yet to discover however...why do people refuse to pay more than €5 for second hand, yet will spend 100 times that on vintage? Anyone? Anyway, you can definitely find some gems in here, if you're lucky, look hard enough, or are a vintage fashionista. Unfortunately, I'm a lazy shopper, can never find what I want, and vintage makes me look like I'm wearing stuff belonging to my granny (and not in a good way...granny chic...not a good look for me!) I actually reckon this is a better place for guys to shop, as they have a decent selection of men's clothes and, let's face it girls, it's just so much easier for them!!

Filled with cutesy clothes, jewellery, accessories, children's toys, old books and the like, Lucy's Lounge is a perfect portal for mid-afternoon shopping heaven. Who knows what precious knick knacks you'll come across in this tiny basement? The shopkeeper is fitted out in an intriguing blend of the shop's wares, intricately done up in shawl, flowery hat, old fashioned dress and a mish-mash of accessories. She is a cross between Mary Poppins and the 'feed the birds' woman, and she is lovely lovely lovely! There are some exquisite discoveries to be made by whoever has the patience to sift through the wares in this store. Whether you're on the hunt for a vintage dress, a tacky 80s fluoro ski jacket, a pair of dainty gloves or a funky wall hanging, this place is worth a look! Beware: this shop is only open Thur - Sat 1pm - 6pm and Sun 3pm - 6pm. Time your trip accordingly!

Eager Beaver is a wicked little retro shop crammed with what is undoubtedly the hippest collection…read moreof hand-me-downs in the city. What we have here however is a much more slapdash and sporty collection as opposed to the more 'classic silk dresses that feature the same flower-patterned design as seen on your grandmother's old apron but in this context looks chic and unexpectedly fashionable' look found in abundance in other eminent Temple Bar vintage outlets such as Lucy's Lounge. In fact, what am I saying, Eager Beaver isn't vintage at all, it is the definitive retro retreat. In point of fact, I stand corrected again as it's not even a 'retreat' - no that's far too subtle a word - it is in truth a big, slapdash retro bonanza! Does that communicate the zealousness I feel towards this shop enough for you? Untailored, informal retro is the name of the game here with a couple of clothes racks packed solely with 70's Adidas track-suit jackets, denim jackets, Led Zeppelin tees, Stan Smith trainers, Nike 1970s Elite pumps with a sweet nylon upper, waffle sole and old school colourway and even Puma trackie bottoms - see what I mean about the large array of sportswear. Be sure to set a decent amount of time aside so as to allow for a real hardcore rummage in and amongst this collection of quality curios.
