I have successfully completed the 6 week challenge with The Camp losing 20.4pounds! I highly recommend The Camp Transformation Center at 1420 Federal Rd Houston Texas 77015. This challenge was not easy for me because of many personal challenges that came up during the 6 weeks. I wanted to give up but after talking to the staff I decided to finish what I started and I made It! I'm glad they didn't give up on me. That's one of the benefits of joining this team. It's more than just a gym membership. It's like having a family who cares about your health and well-being too. I'm in the best physical condition I have ever been in my life because of The Camp. I have tried many gym memberships in my lifetime and this is by far the best one I have joined. The next challenge starts November 1, come join us!

It was Jan 2nd 2020 the first time I walked in this camp. I must admit I was not there willingly, but rather persuaded by my mother who was just worried and only looking out for me, like most moms do. I joined the 6-week challenge full of fears and self-sabotaging thoughts that never fail to appear when we are about to embark on a path that moves us away from our comfort zone. I decided to silence all those thoughts that didn't favor me and take one challenge at a time. Somehow not thinking that far ahead calmed my fear of failure. I just kept telling myself - "just 20 more pounds" instead of the scary +370lbs I needed to reach my goal. It's been a little over two years and I just finished my 13th challenge, even though I didn't make the 20 lbs this time, I couldn't be happier for making that decision of joining this program that has truly changed my life. The journey hasn't been easy, I've had ups and downs, moments where self doubt and old unhealthy habits still come creeping up on me. But with time I have learned the true meaning of self control and restraint, it is an everyday practice. I always try to remember that the true transformation comes from within, and only when I understood that everything else changed. I am my most precious project and I try to keep that present in my mind every single day. I will forever be thankful with the camp family for being a huge part of my process. To the awesome trainers that encourage me to push my limits , the lovely office/marketing staff that have greeted me with a joyful smile and positive attitude, and of course the director Mrs. Rosey for being so kind and humble all the time, always willing to offer help when needed. I wish to not make this longer than it should so I just want to tell you if you're considering joining this program: DO IT!! Don't overthink it. The best investment you can possibly make is the one you make on yourself. It will be uncomfortable, emotional, but so rewarding when and ONLY if you're willing to put in the work, simply life changing. There is no magic trick here, it's all on you. The program offers all the resources, guidance, and help you need...but 99% of it is up to you. The real question here is whether you're ready for something like this or not. But don't be scared, you're stronger than you think you are.

After 2 challenges, I feel the same way. The friendships that are built while being on a journey to a healthier lifestyle makes it easier to commit because of the accountability. I am genuinely excited to see weight loss results every week from all challengers.....not just my own. I love the camp and I am so ready for challenge #3.

Francisco D.

I finished the first challenge at The Camp and I sincerely did not think I was going to make it. The staff is great, they know what they are talking about, and their method does help you shed the pounds. I wanted to try something different since other methods have failed me miserably. Give it a try, I been here for 2 months and I'm eager to come in to The Camp each and every time.

Diane Z.

Tomorrow will be my first day....no pain no gain !! Ready for this challenge. I have been seeing this through my feed on Facebook and finally convinced myself to do this challenge. Can't wait to get to the 6-week mark and see my results very excited and very challenging but I can do this

The facility is big and machines are in working order. They have a turf room for crossfit/free training and on the other side is a half basketball court. They've added a few new machines and I enjoy going into the room whenever it's not too packed. The workers aren't that helpful. When I originally joined, they did a quick walk through of the main area. The rest of the tour was accompanied by the pointing of fingers in different directions as she mentioned the pool, sauna and a cool down room. They don't show you how to use a piece of equipment if you're unsure. On a different day, I had to ask someone about a rope machine in the turf room and the lady responded that she didn't know anything about it. I figured she didn't know much as she was on the heavy side herself and was kicked back behind the counter on her cellphone with another lady not even knowing they had a rope machine lol. They didn't even try to help. Luckily, there was a guy working out nearby who showed me a few things and now it's one of my fave machines. I think they are just unmotivated employees or just bored idk. I complimented an employee who was nice and very different from the rest. She happened to be the manager LOL! I think they may have even said the regional manager but not sure, it was so funny & ironic that I can't recall the rest of the conversation. She's a little tiny thing and she's so helpful and chill. She's usually there when I go after work now. Is she the reason why the tunes are jammin' after 5pm during the week? Any other time the soundtrack is not so energetic. I bring my headphones but I rarely need them when I go around 5-6pm during the week. I recommend you wiping down the equipment as you use it of course. I saw a napkin or tissue on the floor beside one of the ellipticals for 2 days straight, so I'm not sure how often the custodians come through. THE.RESTROOM IS.HORRIBLE.OMG! Some toilets won't flush and are clogged up. The floors have puddles of God knows what kind of liquid. The napkins are all located around the walls in the gym area (you're lucky if they are refilled) and there are only hand dryers available inside the bathroom. There's a Chili's in the parking lot nearby, I usually can use them to change or freshen up instead of using the gym's restroom. I can't comment on the pool and sauna area, the idea of even going gives me the heebies and I don't plan on using these amenities. All-in-all, it's a gym people. Don't expect to smell or see roses. You go and workout then you leave. Just don't be the person who doesn't clean up behind themselves or you'll be part of the problem.

I come here 5 times a week I've been doing so for 2 years and this makes me want to find a new gym! LADIES if you don't want to be harassed and followed just find another location

Best gym on the East Side!!…read more I started coming to Facet Seven Eado to get in the best Bride-To-Be/ Wedding shape I could, and it happened thanks to Mikel!! I highly recommend booking with him if you're in the market for a personal trainer! Not only will he help you reach your goals, but he's also very informative with why you're doing certain exercises (which is very helpful as someone who has no clue!) I do have to say, having a personal trainer really made my experience at Facet Seven Eado! I love that you can view all the trainer profiles online and book with them, making the whole process more approachable. The gym itself seems to have everything you would need - from machines to free weights to classes. Parking: They have some handicap parking and a few open spaces in front of the gym. That being said, I almost always had to park on the side street. Accessibility: In addition to the handicap parking - They do have a ramp for accessibility to the entrance as well, but otherwise get ready for a pre-workout warm up hiking up the stairs to the front entrance! They also have a large shower stall (at least in the women's locker room) for accessibility needs. Staff: The staff (especially the trainers) are beyond welcoming. For some reason the people at the front desk aren't so much. During my time here, I rarely got welcomed which does make it a bit awkward if you're not so comfortable in the gym. Also, they have a scanner to checkin on your app but that worked less than 50% of the time for me, leading to more awkward moments with the front desk. Space: The space is very open, allowing for a lot of different areas. During my time here, they did move some of the weights around, which made for a bit of a choke point/crowded area for the weight machines near the rowers. Personally this was a turn-off for me. Also, being a warehouse, it gets warm. There is AC but during the summer months it doesn't cool too effectively - which I guess helps you sweat and maybe is a good thing (but for me wasn't the best). Overall, I'd definitely return here if I needed a PT to help reach another goal. I definitely recommend it if you're looking for a new gym in general !

Then just show up for a class. You have to use them in 4 weeks or you lose them, so that means committing to at least 2 a week. You'll feel the difference in a week - I've gotten so much stronger already, and I've only been to 4 sessions so far. As for the difficulty of the workouts, yep, it's tough. The great thing is that it's geared for women, and they make lots of suggestions about modifying exercises if they're too difficult for you in the beginning. If you're not into the boot camp thing, they also do personal training. Check 'em out for that too!

Between trying gyms, boutique Pilates studios, orange theory; F45 is the absolute king of work outs. I like F45 because they encourage you to lift more, and push yourself (safely). I feel muscles I've never felt before. I also feel stronger which is amazing. Usually I'd only lift 10-15 lbs max. But not here. I'm comfortable squating 44lbs, and 26lb for tricep extensions! Wth. Never thought I would do either. The coaches are so so nice. They will correct your form (I appreciate this a lot). I have only been to this location fyi. Initially, when you walk in, there's a white board that tells you the duration of the workout/rest periods, and how many laps and/or stations there are. There are cubbies for your stuff, and each cubby has a charger for your phone. They also have small towels for the workout class. There are also drinks and food if you're interested. Lastly, they have two bathrooms with showers. When class starts, the coach will do a quick run through of each station. Every class is so different. Not repetitive like OTF. Monday, Wednesday, and Friday are cardio days. Tuesdays and Thursday's are (lifting) weight days. You can take a quick breather during class but they will cheer you on to finish the time out. You're there for a workout, after all. Usually if you are lost at the station, you can just copy the person next to you or look confused and the coach will come and show you again. Classes can include boxjumps, ski erg, rowers, weights, benches, resistance bands. Clases are usually 45 mins to an hour. What I like about this is that you're not waiting for the previous class to finish. They are usually gone, everything is wiped down/reset, and easy parking. I really love the community and the other members as well. The camaraderie is unmatched. They are all so nice, friendly, and welcoming. We are all shapes, sizes, and skin colors and working on our goals. I love that there are two water refill stations, two treadmills, a stair master, and a massage chair. Many accoutrements! They have a free 7 day trial period. Terrick is the owner and he's amazing!
