Hitfit you've done it again!!!!! I have fallen in love with Bootcamp all over!! When Hitfit's owner told me that he was hiring new trainers for additional classes I was kinda bummed thinking that he'd be hard pressed to find someone as fun and enjoyable as him.... I was so pleasantly surprised when I tried out their new Tuesday and Thursday classes and the instructor, who's name is Marcus, was absolutely as positive and friendly and gave me a great work out!! Nothing like enjoying your workout!!! Thanks guys you Rock!! If you need a good workout in the evenings go check them out at Spott's Park read more

Hit Fit - Hitfit Bootcamp Flyer - Trainers Near Me - Houston, Texas

If you've been thinking about getting in better shape and just haven't found the motivation or the right workout, you have to check out Hit Fit Boot Camp. Jared and Ricky are the instructors: Jared teaches 6 a.m. Monday & Wednesday classes, and Ricky teaches 6:15 p.m. Tuesday & Thursday classes. Classes are held in Levy Park, which is right off of Richmond and Eastside. It costs 80 bucks for 8 sessions: that's a crazy steal in the fitness world. To sign up, go to the website and pay. Then just show up for a class. You have to use them in 4 weeks or you lose them, so that means committing to at least 2 a week. You'll feel the difference in a week - I've gotten so much stronger already, and I've only been to 4 sessions so far. As for the difficulty of the workouts, yep, it's tough. The great thing is that it's geared for women, and they make lots of suggestions about modifying exercises if they're too difficult for you in the beginning. If you're not into the boot camp thing, they also do personal training. Check 'em out for that too! read more

I've never done any bootcamp classes other than these from Hit Fit, but these do the trick! And by do the trick, I mean hurt like hell. When I first signed up (discovered via Groupon), I was scared the trainers would be big scary army guys yelling and screaming and making me cry. Thankfully, this is not the case. I really like Jimmy's classes. He's friendly and encouraging without making you feel bad about yourself. He mixes up classes with entertaining exercises and sets a good pace. Sometimes he'll lead a series of exercises to music and incorporate some cardio and running, and other times he'll bring out kettle bells and barbells and other equipment to work your muscles. The park locations are great and well placed around town. I'm knocking off one star because class was cancelled once on a beautiful day and I didn't receive any notification, so I showed up anyway. I later checked their Facebook page and they had posted the cancellation, but not everyone uses Facebook or checks it constantly, so an email or text system for cancellations would be ideal. read more

I have charges on my debit card, but I don't recall signing up for this. I don't even live near Houston, Texas. What kind of scam is this? This ain't cute! read more

Each instructor is has a different technique so you don't get bored with the classes! If you work out on a daily basis, that is key to any class!! Routine workouts make it hard to get motivated to go do. I love that there are all types of people in the classes. All instructors are willing to work with you no matter what stage of fitness you are at. If you haven't worked out in a long time, this would be perfect kick you need! As well for those that are already fit, you get a different work out to shock your body. read more

I am squirming in my seat as I type this review because my butt is sore from the previous two Hit Fit workouts. Each class typically lasts 50 minutes but it seems to fly by because you are concentrating so hard on finishing each circuit. I've enjoyed attending classes taught by Marcus - he is encouraging, fun, and motivating. Since we all finish the circuits at varying paces, he is really good at repeating instructions for the next circuit so everybody knows what is coming up next. He also asks if anybody has any injuries in the beginning so he can offer alternative exercises. I really like Hit Fit because I never know what workout to expect. They are good at incorporating cardio and strength exercises - you can expect to do some variations of jumps, sprints, hills, push ups, crunches, lunges, and balance exercises. I am usually breathless and drenched in sweat at the end. One note of caution: The classes are usually about 20-30 people so we form two rows. We were doing mountain climbers and I could see basically everything of the girl in front of me wearing Soffe shorts. Ladies, I recommend you wear some shorts that gives you enough coverage for these sessions. read more

I initially started looking for a workout regiment a month prior to my wedding (August of this year) in the San Antonio area, searching the internet (groupon, living social, etc.) for the best deals and programs. I came across a few choices and settled on Hit Fit, as it sounded exactly like what I wanted and the locations were close to where I lived. I considered myself to be in pretty decent shape, but I had become lazy and started to see the loss of definition that I had previously worked so hard to get. My problem is I hate gyms, and I hate having to try to come up with a workout on a daily basis. Hit Fit solves both of these problems. There is no need to worry about waiting your turn on the piece of workout equipment you want in order to finish your set. All of the workout materials are provided to you and your workout partners, and you complete the tasks together, in a quick, interval training manner, outside! Within one month of doing the Hit Fit workouts, I noticed a return to the definition that I was losing, motivating me to continually wake up at 5 a.m. to sweat my #%# off in the dark. And the best part is, I am not alone, as I have my wife right next to me, as well as any other Hit fitters, and of course our instructor, Justin, who normally does the workout right along with us. It is a group effort, which drives you to work your hardest and be your best. It isn't judgy, and it leaves you feeling happily exhausted. I have been out of town working for the past week, unable to do my regular 6 a.m. workouts, and I am already feeling guilty. I am reliant now on the structure that Hit Fit provides. It keeps me honest and it keeps me coming back for more. I can't ignore the results, and I can't ignore the effectiveness of the program. I would highly recommend checking out Hit Fit, whether you are in the Houston or San Antonio areas. If you want to become a better you, it starts with hard work and commitment, and these are both things that are here for the taking, and Hit Fit can definitely help! read more

This bootcamp is an awesome value. At $40/month, it's cheaper than my gym membership and also more effective. I like all of the instructors, although there was one that (jokingly?) told people to stop complaining because most people were probably using a groupon type deal and he was probably only getting paid $5 to teach the class because of it. Totally unprofessional, even in a laid back environment like HitFit. Other than that though, this boot camp is really great. I especially like Marcus' workouts and personality. If you have an injury, they are good about suggesting modified exercises. People of all fitness levels can be seen here, so don't let being out of shape intimdate you. The workouts are fun and the times goes by so quickly. The only thing I don't like is that with it being outside, you're at the mercy of Houston weather. It's a rain or shine class, so even if it's raining or 110 degrees, they will be out there running hills. I'm not THAT eager to work out lol. And that's why I haven't canceled my gym membership and stuck with these guys. Sometimes I want a roof over my head and nice cold A/C! I will be back though, for sure. read more

The boot camp that I went to was on MWF from 6:30-7:15pm at Spots Park - there also seems to be a morning option. The first thing I noticed when I arrived was the plethora of boot camps that had made their base of operations at Spots. While I live a stone's throw from Spots and knew of it - I did not realize what a nice little gem this park is. Unlike most other boot camps Hit Fit is only 45min long - but Jared manages to really beat you to a pulp in those 45 minutes - in a good way that is. The emphasis here is to keep your heart rate going for the duration. The exercises consist of a lot of push-ups, abs work, lunges and running up and down the adjacent hill numerous times. Hit Fit probably gave me the best cardio workout that I have ever experienced, but while I was out of breath I never really felt sore after working out. Thus, if you are trying to build muscle it may be worth to supplement this boot camp with the occasional trip to the gym. Jared is a great instructor and keeps the class fun, what was really surprising was that he remembered my name after the second session -pretty impressive given that there were about 30-40 students. If you decide to go make sure to bring a mat, the ground can be uncomfortable especially when doing push ups. read more

Took a bootcamp class with Jimmy for a week. He may be a nice guy, however not the best of trainers I've had. I was introduced to him by the friend who brought me, he just said ok. Didn't ask me if I had any injuries or provide any other information about the camp. Another guy showed up who was also new, and he went out of his way to introduce himself, ask the guy if he had any injuries and explain the camp. Just seemed more friendly in general. I don't like to play the race card but it did seem odd being the only minority present. I just feel as a trainer you should make an effort to treat everyone the same. There are people with varying fitness levels, there were a few who were clearly out of shape. He failed to offer any of them any encouraging words. No "good job", "keep it going" "you can do it", NOTHING. For those who are starting on a fitness journey sometimes you really need to hear those motivating words to want to even come back. Also, because of the varying fitness levels it doesn't make sense why he would have the participants do each exercise by counting during the circuit training. He should time the reps as in each exercise for 30secs or 1 mins etc instead of having boot campers counting the number of exercises because the more fit individuals finish quicker and then stand around for the less fit to finish their count. When if he kept everyone on a timed interval for each circuit, everyone would get a good workout without feeling impatient or guilty for holding the other up. All in all, I've had much better trainers who seemed more friendly and excited to train the people they are working with. Diversity seems to be an issue, at least for the class I was in. But for the cheaper price you get what you pay for i guess. read more

Very intense and awesome boot camp!! I've tried other ones in the area and this one actually makes you work. Now do 20 burpees!!!!!

Working with Hit Fit is more than just going to the gym. Jared has helped me run faster and keep from getting injured on my runs. He is a more comprehensive trainer than most and is available any time I have any questions. The boot camps will kick your butt! read more

Best bang for your buck here. After going a few sessions, the workouts get very repetitive and boring but they are hard and it will take you a while to get use to the workouts. If they varied the workouts more, it would get 4 starts. read more

I've attended the class at Spotts Park and I absolutely love it!! Marcus is great and is not a yeller, which is unexpected from a boot camp instructor. And Spotts Park is so perfect! The venue makes me actually want to be outside and work out. I think I'm hooked. read more

Love this bootcamp! I have been going to the Tanglewest Hit Fit for several months and couldn't be happier. Smaller classes make it more like personal training and all the teachers have been great to work with. This is one of the best priced bootcamps around. $40-$60 a month allows you to go to as many bootcamps as you want in any of the areas around the city. I was paying close to 4x that amount a month for crossfit ,which this bootcamps has many qualities of. read more

I have been going To Hit Fit a little over a month now and it is by far the best boot camp around. The trainers are great they are all very friendly and are always willing to show you modifications to different exercises. They also take time to watch you and make sure you are using proper form to avoid injuries. Hit Fit is very affordable and they multiple locations around town and multiple times to accommodate your schedule. I love Hit Fit and I will be Hit Fit for as long as I am physically able. read more

I have had a chance recently to try out a bunch of boot camps in Houston, and Hit Fit at Spotts Park is easily the best. Jared does an excellent job of watching our form and corrects us so we get the most out of our exercise and avoid injury. He keeps the exercises fresh, the intensity level high, and the small classes make sure everyone gets personalized attention. I have seen better results from Hit Fit boot camp than any other one I have tried. Come give it a shot! read more

I've tried several boot camps and have definitely learned that some are more effective than others. Of the different camps I've tried, HIT FIT is by far the best! Jared creates intense and fun exercises and really motivates everyone to participate and enjoy themselves. Each class is different, so the work-outs never get boring. I've signed up automatic payments and intend to continue going to HIT FIT to reach my fitness goals! read more

Jared was rude and cheats people out of their paid months. For example, if you sign up for a class online as "unpaid" (as instructed) and pay when you attend your first class, he counts the first time you ever signed up online as when he started charging you for classes--even if you never attended classed then. read more

Hit Fit and I go waaay back(over 2 yrs),from bootcamp to now personal training. I saw results very soon after I started so I stuck with it and still going strong. I love the flexibility Jared has with our PT(we're up before the birds), but I may incorporate some bootcamp classes(somewhere between my off days), since I started with that. I like that bootcamp allows you to mostly use your own body weight for strength. If you don't like the bootcamp, definitely try a pt session, Jared has a deal for that too-LOL. If you do your part-FOOD JOURNAL RIGHT JARED? :))))-you will see results quickly. Who can beat a $40/m bootcamp, that politely kick butt!!! read more

Today was only my second day, but bottom line: this is the best. The workouts are great. There are a lot of people to help keep you motivated. And lets just say it's not just the temperature that's hot out there (I am of course referring to the eye candy trainers ladies!) This was the best deal out there for a boot camp by far! Best boot camp in town no questions asked. You can't beat the price for unlimited classes ($40 per month) or how great the instructors are. Jared is always able to modify workouts for me if I have an injury and classes are always dynamic and different.
