The lobby and common areas are beautifully designed and very fragrant, which might be a bit much if you're sensitive to strong scents. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and everything is well maintained. Staff throughout the hotel were friendly and helpful. The on-site store was convenient but a bit pricey. I loved this hotel and the added customer experience with the evening champagne and hors d'ouevres with live music. The hotel is conveniently located across the street from a large mall. There is a nice sidewalk with a beautiful tunnel that takes you across the street to the mall with tons of food options. Upon checking in, the staff was welcoming and efficient. I checked in online making the time I needed at registration minimal. The rooms were adequate and clean. The standard size room with the standard ameneties. I used the fitness center while I was there and it has everything needed for a full body workout to include weights, treadmills, stationary bikes, etc. Lastly, but very notably, this has to be the nicest smelling hotel I have ever visited. Beautiful hotel and great location. The hotel has a coffee shop a restaurant and bar. They also have complementary champagne from 5 to 5:30. I really wish it was from five to 6 o'clock though, lol. The rooms are spacious clean, and there's tons of lighting. The staff is phenomenal. Every staff member that I talked to was very friendly and attentive. Marissa helped me during check-in and I gotta say I truly appreciate her customer service. I had a chance to chat with some of the front desk staff on Day 2 and they were also very friendly. I was looking for gum and they shared some of theirs so I wouldn't have to buy the giant package. I would definitely stay again. read more

Sometimes wish I WAS from Mars (as my Venus friends always tell me) to make frequent trips rational if only in my head. Had dinner across the street (Capital Grille) and knew it was going to be a night to remember. However the vino proved otherwise having no memory whatsoever of the evening (as expected/suspected). Hence the reason for the Marvelous Camby Hotel Staycation! I must admit it was a great decision on many levels! As a Marriott Ambassador level (see Miss Joyce, you're not the only ambassador) was treated magnificently with a suite upgrade. Photos don't do it justice but please look anyway as it will entice you to spend a night, if not several, at this well groomed beautiful place. Room was perfectly laid out with upscale amenities and appointments. Views were breathtaking of the Arizona desert as well. Enjoyed every moment! I was present in your lobby awaiting the arrival of business associates and friends for a pre-meeting gathering. During this time, I observed several members of the Titans organization. While I maintained a respectful distance, I did encounter a player with whom I had a prior business relationship. We engaged in a brief, mutual interaction, concluding with a photograph. I have since requested that your staff preserve the lobby footage documenting this interaction. Subsequently, Mr. Anthony Rocha, Director of Front Office, approached me and instructed me not to take photographs. I politely explained my professional acquaintance with the individual. I further clarified my professional background within the NFL and my extensive network across professional sports, including coaches, scouts, owners, and players. I also emphasized that any mutual decision to take a photograph with an acquaintance is a private matter between the individuals involved. Mr. Rocha continued to insist that I could not take pictures with anyone, and his demeanor became increasingly condescending. I even inquired if he would object to me recording our conversation, and I also requested his name and the name of his superior, which led him to provide your business card. At no point was I asked to leave, as I had not engaged in any inappropriate behavior. Approximately five minutes later, Mr. Rocha returned with Titans Security, MCSO, and hotel security personnel, who surrounded me. I was understandably alarmed, embarrassed, and shocked by this escalation, as were two of your Front Desk employees, who appeared equally taken aback by Mr. Rocha's actions. To de-escalate the situation and avoid further disruption in the lobby, I voluntarily exited the hotel. After a peaceful conversation with Titans personnel and MCSO, I re-entered the hotel to obtain your contact information and reiterate my request for the preservation of the lobby footage. Upon retrieving my car from the valet, I discussed the incident with several valet attendants, some of whom recognized me from previous visits when I met with my associates and friends from various teams. They expressed similar shock at Mr. Rocha's behavior, noting a common sentiment regarding his actions among others. Mr. Rocha later reappeared outside, and I calmly reiterated my request for the preservation of the footage, which he affirmed he would do. However, to my astonishment, two minutes later, MCSO issued a 24-hour trespass warning against me. Everyone present was astonished, as I was simply there for a business meeting and to connect with acquaintances. Mr. Rocha's aggressive conduct unfortunately prevented this. I discreetly departed to avoid drawing further attention to my meeting with the Titans. My past interactions with this establishment have always been professional and positive; I have frequently booked your upstairs conference rooms for multi-day productions and have met numerous colleagues and friends at The Camby (Ritz-Carlton), and I occasionally dine here. The Camby hotel is one of my favorite hotels in the Phoenix area. It is located in the upscale business center with an outdoor shopping center and great restaurants within the walking distance. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. The room service was always delivered within thirty minutes. We also visited the Cartel coffee shop located in the lobby and coffee drinks were great. We didn't get to use the pool area because it was closed for private events during our stay but what was nice was that they offered to drive us to their sister property if we wanted to use the pool area. Another great service Camby offered was the consistent texts updates from the reception and the concierge teams. I stayed here about 4 days. When first arrived I was greeted by valet for bags. The lobby area is beautiful. The people here are so nice. Our bags were brought up quickly. The room was nice with modern decor. The bathroom door was a little jammed. I love that there is a table and a desk. We were given water which were refilliable. There were also water dispensers in the hall which was convenient. The housekeepers did really good they even rolled up my flat irons for me. The gym was so nice and it seemed to be either 24 hours or open late. Stopped at the pool which was nice and very spacious. I was sad I didnt get to utilize the amenities. When we would leave and arrive valet would greet us. Didn't make it to the bar but it looked stunning. I'd definitely stay here again. read more

I love the Autograph hotels but this was my least favorite. The front desk attendants were great. For an expensive hotel, it is just ok. I went for a conference and the conference was great. The room was ok. No waters in the room. I think another blanket in the closet would be nice. I ordered a burger and it was still "Mooing " at me. We had a steak at the conference and that was Mooing at me too. Get DoorDash the mall across the street. Marriott can do better. read more

This is a great place to stay, I reserved the room on the app I tried to use my suite night rewards to upgrade our room and couldn't get it to work. So I did a chat with the hotel in the app, I explained what I tried to do and that my wife and I were celebrating our Anniversary. I got a response saying that they upgraded the room to a suite I wrote back and thanked them. When we checked it they congratulated us on the anniversary thanked us for being platinum and gave us 2 Starbucks $5 coupons 2 complimentary welcome drinks at the bar and 2 cards for $25 off food from the restaurant. We went up to the room and when we went in on the table was a plate with chocolate covered strawberries and a note congratulating us. The room was rather large, there is a small bathroom when you first come in then a large couch and a tv a fridge and a desk then in the next room is a king bed very comfortable with a glass shower large bathroom with double sinks. This is our favorite hotel in Phoenix. As a former Ritz Carlton, it has gorgeous "bones" and it was recently remodeled to make it even more luxurious. The king hotel rooms are a good size, with a view of the pool and nice condos on the back side, or Biltmore Fashion Park and Camelback Mountain on the front. The bathroom shower has a rain showerhead and French drain, with nice shampoo, conditioner and body wash; and the bathroom has a lighted makeup mirror. There's a Keurig with coffee and tea selections; a small refrigerator; and two full length mirrors. The bed is very comfortable with nice linens. The room also comes with bathrobes. One of the new features which I love is the reusable water bottle with filtered water stations on each floor for water refills! Such a smart, eco-friendly idea! The hotel is near an underpass where you can walk over to Biltmore Fashion Park under Camelback Road! We use this every time we visit Phoenix to go to Capital Grille and Blanco. The Camby also has a nice bar and restaurant, which we use at every visit. Camby, we love you. We will be back. read more

I enjoyed my stay here except for minor things such as lack of a concierge person, I asked to make an appointment for yoga, and no one got back to me about it. There needs to be at least one person at the front bc sometimes no one is around when you need to speak with a person. Everything was clean and seemed to be upgraded. The rooms were nice. There's yoga and bike rentals for people who request them. I didn't get to try any, but I would've liked to if I was more informed. I found out by looking at the vouchers that I received, and it was written on them. Upstairs, there's a rooftop pool access, spa services, and a fitness center. On the rooftop, there's a place where you may lay out or play games such as table tennis or a huge connect four game. I didn't get to try bees knees, which I heard serves boozy teas. I did get to try artizen, which was alright. Overall, I recommend this hotel for those looking for a place to stay in Phoenix. read more

I attended a fundraiser at the hotel and was impressed by how beautiful the spaces were. Many hotel fundraiser events have boring, dry food but their food was great and the service quick. Like many Autograph properties, this boutique hotel is filled with stunning artwork and a cool contemporary vibe. The location is a home-run for shopping and dining at the Biltmore Fashion Square across the street. The guest rooms are spacious, with super comfy beds and powerful showers. The décor included a bull head wall light and ceiling art with phrases like: "Everything's Looking Up". What probably stood out the most was the quality of the staff, especially Alexis and Chelsey at the Artizen Restaurant and Matt of the valet team. I must say, I've never stayed at a Marriott Bonvoy property that made me feel more welcomed and appreciated than at the Camby. The perks for Bonvoy members were amazing. read more

We booked this hotel through Hotel Tonight and were told at 9:30 the day we were supposed to check in that the hotel had overbooked and we were moved to a different hotel. I was really bummed because it was my husband's birthday. That said, this hotel still gets 4 stars because they totally made up for the mistake. They got us back at the Camby for our second night and prepared the room so we could check in early. They even left a charcuterie board in the fridge and a birthday card for my husband! Of course, we were really bummed about the first night, but mistakes happen and the hotel totally did what they could to make it a really great stay. I would recommend the hotel! read more

This hotel really is so beautiful and a great place to stay in the Phoenix area. When you walk into the entrance, the lobby is so stunning. The location is also really perfect by Biltmore. There is so many great food options (We recommend brunch at Breakfast Club) and lots of great shopping options too. Our room was pretty nice and was clean. This is a lovely updated hotel. They left some of the og trimmings like the marble, solid doors, and some of the hardware. The walls are painted with this deep rich taupe color, like Farrow & Ball Mouseback color. It is relaxing and the sound doesn't echo. The rooms are comfortable, maid service came and again, love the marble in the bathrooms. The only thing that disappoints is there isn't a bathtub in the room; just a shower and there isn't a hot tub at the pool. I need to soak sometimes. It seems like it's in a business park but there is a great mall across the street and so many restaurants to choose from. It was easily accessible from the airport. I would stay here again. Made reservation four Tipsy Tea for 6 about a month ago. We all were so looking forward to this experience! Each person was $45- COOL!! I used to come to Phoenix and stay at the former Ritz- again- I was excited to come back! All the Teas sounded great, along with the eats and treats. We ordered the tea pots with gin and the other with rum- I don't remember them because I wanted the one with Vodka. But, the ladies I was with didn't want vodka. No problem. I ordered a fruity $12 tequila drink. It's was super cute. The finger foods they brought were all good. Desserts were okay. Bill came- each person had a $60 bill. They added gratuity. A stunning hotel in a wonderful spot for shopping and restaurants. While it not downtown, I think that is really to their advantage. I felt very safe and its very easy to get to the shops through a tunnel under the street. It sounds sketchy but its not at all, well light and clean! The hotel itself was very clean as well. I appreciated the daily housekeeping I know that is not easy right now for many hotels and the staffing shortage. The valet's were all lovely as well and the gentleman who checked us in was friendly too. I wasnt super impressed with the man who checked us out though. A bit cold an indifferent. They have a small pool but limited chairs. The woman who was bringing drinks our first day was working so hard and she didnt miss anyone. Checked-in on us multiple times as well. The pool also has some games and cabanas as well. I'm sure you have to pay for the cabanas which is annoying given how few chairs they have. read more

Another moment when I date myself, as I recall this hotel being The Ritz-Carlton & hot spot for visiting sports team players... The location is great with the Biltmore Shopping Plaza across the way along with a few other great perks all within walking distance. Checkin was easy and the staff was helpful starting with the Valet and front desk. Our room was what we requested (kinda)... Asked for a high floor with a City View and the only city you can see is the new high rise directly across the street (Optima Biltmore Towers Condominiums) which is the only view I got. False advertising maybe, or someone needs to update the website. Technically that's the sunset view and the mountain view rooms would be the sunrise (not ideal during the hot summer days). That was my biggest knock. The room was somewhat "as expected" with no major thrills. I did enjoy seeing precautions taken like the remote sealed in plastic. Lots of potential to do a lot more with the Pool area, opening times and bar availability with service, & more. read more

The middle aged Hispanic gentleman who runs the front desk, is rude, condescending, unfriendly and seems completely unhappy in his position. For the front desk, the first person being the face of your hotel, should be a happy, friendly and much kinder individual. The Camby is a great boutique-like hotel (its actually a Marriott so get/use your points for better room deals). The pluses are great friendly staff, great bar to get a cocktail and chill. The rooms are comfortable but on the small. Side (even the upgraded ones) and the bedding is comfortable (not heavenly). Also great location. Minuses are that they have no room service really to speak of and despite asking numerous times we didn't see a room attendant in our room (but did see them servicing everyone's in the hallway). The pool is outdated. No spa. But they can give you a credit to go across the Biltmore. They seem to be a little short handed in the server area but again the freindly staff make up for the wait. For the cost of the rooms are a little high priced to not have these amenities. Overall great experience. read more

Staying at the Camby was like discovering an island in the ocean of crap that is 2020. Not to belittle the stunning decor, sparkling pool, or expertly cleaned rooms but, the staff is hands-down the winning factor of this PHX boutique hotel. Everyone involved from the valet service to the cleaning staff and of course, the front desk personale was friendly, accommodating, and greeted you in a calm (and competent) manner. I could go on and on about how pleased I was to have stayed at this hotel as it's centralized located and has a great host of amenities (although limited) but, I'll let the pictures and dozens of other 5 star reviews do the talking. The *only* thing I could maybe complain about was the fact that the pool was closed during our stay because of a private event and I really would've liked to have known this ahead of time + the lack of self parking available but other than that I was very pleased with the quality of service and hospitality during my stay. COVID UPDATES: Staff and all guests observe social distancing, the use of mask and frequent cleaning of high-touch surfaces. It is got great hype, but it really isn't all that. They charge for valet and they also have a second fee of hospitality stay on top of your stay. So, you have 2 added charges on top of your hotel room. The hotel is old, they have just painted over everything to make it look good. The hotel is not as clean, the vent above the shower is got mold and it's all black inside and you can see it while taking a shower, which was a horrible experience. Overall a 2 star hotel for me. The staff is always friendly and the rooms are clean and comfortable. The rooms are modern and up to date. I love that they have a restaurant in the hotel that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner and has a full bar. They have a workout facility and pool. The fitness room is nice and works for on the go travel needs. I've never used the pool. It looks a bit small but has a nice atmosphere. The restaurant/bar has a terrible menu. I wanted a little something to eat with my cocktail and discovered there was pretty much nothing on the menu I could eat. The offerings were not appetizing and the kitchen would not customize anything to suit a person's needs. I am allergic to cilantro and could not get the Mahi tacos because the fish is marinated in cilantro. Apparently, they couldn't just use a piece of fish that had not been marinated. I also cannot eat spicy foods which eliminated a great deal of the menu because spice could not be omitted or sauce could not be served separately. I finally opted for the veggie panini but asked to leave off the Kimchi in case it was spicy as Kimchi often is. I was told that was not possible. When I got the panini I could see why. Each ingredient was not separate. It was all a mush of finely chopped items. I was quite hungry so I took a few bites. I needn't have worried about the kimchi being spicy, I couldn't even tell it was in there. It was not tasty, very bland and the flavors of the veg not apparent. I'm sure there are people from all over the country if not all over the world that stay at this boutique hotel. This menu offers absolutely nothing for the varied dietary needs or preferences of a majority of those people. I have been to a great many Phoenix restaurants from diners to very high end exclusive restaurants. This is the worst restaurant for both the food selection and failure to take guests needs into consideration. I was told many guests had made comments along these lines.
