Over the last 5 years I was used to literally driving over an hour to an hour and a half to get my hair cut in a different county because I didn't trust anyone with my hair. I am more of a wash and wear kinda gal and I have wavy hair so I need my cut to suit those needs. I also go 3 to 6 months without a cut and sometimes even a year so I need a styled cut that will grow out nicely. I read the Yelp reviews and decided to give Jimmy a try. Today was my 3rd or 4th cut by him and I'm so pleased. I'd highly recommend him especially if you have long hair and/or like a cut that can be styled or just wash and wear. Hair cuts here are also EXTREMELY and reasonably affordable. I really do feel like I'm getting a upscale salon cut at 1/2 or even 1/4 of the price. Tell Jimmy I sent you (that is, if you tip well.) I have always been the worst about scheduling what I need done and Jimmy has always been ready for my last second needs for my hair! I came in here the first time with a really messed up hair coloring that I tried at home... never again haha but Jimmy with a TON of effort was able to get the red out of my hair to help me go platinum blonde like I wanted! After that we have tried with different blondes, some silver and the past few times have gone totally white! Takes a lot of time and patience but Jimmy always gets me slipped in cause I'm always a day or two away from when I need it done! I've been to this place sporadically since I was 18 (I'm 33 now) and I have never been disappointed with how my hair turns out. The hairstylists know exactly what the client is looking for and do a great job. I came here a couple days ago because my hair was seriously fried and the layers no longer framed my face (thanks to the other place that did my hair). The stylist I had (I don't know her name, but I think she's Filipino) did such a great job and gave me tons of layers! Not only that but she didn't try to upsell me, unlike other salons that try to make me buy products and services I don't need. I love coming here! I'm not loyal to any particular hairdresser or stylist, but every time I've come in here my hair is always looking fabulous. I'll continue to go even though I live in San Diego. :) read more

Bad service of Alex. I came 10 min before the scheduled time. She said, that she expect somebody else to color hair, and I could wait. I was in a hurry, made an appointment in advance on a specific time, and got a bad attitude of a hair stylist. It was rude and an appropriate. So, I walked out. So, appointments need to be made during their business hours. I work very weird shifts, mostly at night. For me, it would be helpful, that I could call and make an appointment. This salon is a cute little place with a sort of family vibe. I have gotten quite a bit of work done on my hair here by a stylist named Amy. I love this girl because she really knows her stuff and makes me feel comfortable while still offer fresh new ideas. The best part is that even if I'm not totally on board with the idea she moves forward while keeping the same friendly attitude. I recently needed an updo for a wedding and Amy was nice enough to squeeze me in same day. Best of all it was beautiful and I got many compliments all night long.
