We were leaving the area after spending a week in a time share in Horseshoe Bend and saw the building as we were getting ready to turn off route 289 to head east on 56. We'd driven past there 3 or 4 times earlier in the week and never saw that it was a restaurant. It was about 10 AM and they still had the buffet set up for breakfast. The waitress was very nice and the food was good. read more

Wonderful place. We went out of our way to try it out. I had an open faced roast beef sandwich, mashed potatos brown gravy and deep fried ocra yum. My love have a french dip. We both thought the beef was very tender. Bestie had a bacon cheese burger, she said fresh like a homeade from home and delicious. The waitress was lovely. I cannot wait to try their breakfast buffet, we were just there too late. read more

Onion rings were good. Chicken was seasoned with a non expected seasoning which my wife did not want or like. My tenderloin was good Service was great. Location hood. Ambiance was typical rural restaurant feeding the needs of this area. Thanks. read more

I wish I had taken photos but I totally forgot. Everyone really should try this place out. They have got the best chicken fried chicken (hands down)! My husband ordered it and my boys each got some slices from their dad. They liked it so much that we ordered another piece for my older kiddo (and that's after he had already gobbled up his double cheeseburger). The server was very sweet and when we checked out, she said the extra chicken fried chicken that we ordered was given to us for free! She said she was just curious if my son can actually finish it up. He did impress her! Lol! Talk about a growing tween boy! I wish we can come here again . We really love the nice local feel of the place too. Everyone in there were super nice!! read more

Had the chicken fried steak meal and it was one of the best I've ever eaten. Also had the the Jalapeño Poppers as an appetizer. They were very good. read more

I am so sorry to give this review. Mouse ran across entry window from cook to waitress. My husband saw it. I am so sorry. I love the good food there. read more

A party of 5 waited for 90 minutes on a breakfast order. This place kept our coffee filled but every table around us who was seated after us, ordered, received their food, paid, and left. We kept being told another 10 minutes and nothing. Do yourself a favor and find some place else, even if it's a drive!! read more

The staff was great! Food was very good. Portions were plentiful so my desire for the dessert I started with was gone! Very clean. Buffet is gone but you can't beat it for breakfast in the area. read more

This is my dad's favorite breakfast place. I have been here twice before and it's been consistently delicious every time. Our waitress Shannon was so attentive and she even remembered me from my visit 4 months ago. My dad and I got the Southwestern Omelette and it is delicious. The veggies were fresh, the omelette was full of flavor. Portion size is huge! You'll have leftovers for sure! Toast and hash browns were crisp and light. Love this place! It's nothing fancy, just a good ol' diner with some delicious home cookin. I can't wait to come back again! read more

What do you do when a party of let's say a dozen or so show up at your little place on the corner, with no notice? Get them out of the heat, sit them at the table in the back and give them each a menu and some water. Next come around and tell them the special of the day is a 12 oz Rib eye steak, side salad, choice of potato, veggie and Texas toast for 14.99. Winner, winner we don't need no chicken dinner. read more

Tasting menus・Great food Stopped in early this morning to get my wife breakfast in bed since it is her 55th birthday. Service was very fast and reasonable. Employees were super nice. Take out service is the only option right now with the virus and it was fast and perfect. Wife said they sent her the best slice of peanut butter pie she has every had!! Thank you Calabama! Even though its take out only, please remember to tip these wonderful people! read more

This is a great restaurant for country Home cooking, fried chicken, burgers, steaks, breakfast, even fried Cheese curds. We had chicken fried chicken and chicken fried steak. Came with mashed potatoes all with delicious white gravy and a side. For me, fried okra. For spouse coleslaw. It was all delicious. No room for the pie that was so tempting! Place gets busy at peak times with locals. Price very reasonable. read more

Disappointed with fries was just small scrap pieces. Mushroom burger and chicken philly was good

This review is based on 3 visits over the last few months. Each visit has been worse than the last. The orders have consistently been wrong, and the food is poor quality. For example, one of the items on our last order was the Philly Beef Steak sandwich. There was not enough beef on it to cover a third of the bun when opened up. The fried mushrooms were almost entirely breading, and a chicken sandwich was chewy and pretty much void of any lettuce or tomato. Like I said, this was the last of three visits, and the other two were no better. We originally went here based on the good reviews, but things have apparently changed for the worse. read more

Went for the sunday buffet, and it was average at best. Not much to pick from, and nothing wrong with the food, but nothing to rave about either. The staff was okay, price was okay, and food was okay. read more

Not very good. A lot of frozen products. Very bland. I went there and was very unhappy with it. I decided to try it again and it was even worse the second time. read more

Awesome bacon cheeseburger. Even better chocolate pie. Pleasantly surprise for such a small out of the way spot.

What a wonderful place to eat. The service is wonderful, always professional yet very personable. The food has been consistently well done, and the dining area is always clean and inviting. Things here are exactly as they should be. That is until you order dessert. Calabama has such an apocalyptic selection of delicious pies. These pies should not be allowed by law to occupy the same county. It would make for a great headline: "Calabama robbed, safe untouched, pie case gone missing." read more

to expensive, food nothing special, very plain, no atmosphere. went once, that was enough, will not go back.

Just OK. Catfish is the food (and industry) of the region. The catfish was well fried but the corn fritters were very greasy. Will keep on looking for a better place. read more

Great food, friendly wait staff... They have moved just down the road corner of hwy 56 and 289. 20 south bond street, franklin

Awesome meals! Today we had their top choice double cheeseburgers for lunch with all their fixings. Shortly, the best burgers we have had! We also bought chicken breast and and breaded pork loin for dinner, to take home. Everything was brilliant! Very friendly staff too that take care of you, fast and correct. read more

Worst food I've ever eaten. The food was cold when I got it and it took almost an hour to get my food after ordering the service was terrible I never got asked if I needed a refill read more

The worst place I've ever been to. We had four people at my table including me and we waited literally an hour for our food. We have eaten there before and the food was greatly proportional and really filled you up. After waiting the hour we got half plates stuff and it was disgusting. The food tasted freezer burnt the eggs were rubber and overall it was just crap. I would not recommend anyone to eat there, it's horrible! read more

Wonderful! So friendly and such good food! Love their desserts too!!! Peanut Butter pie is fantastic! Their burgers are thick, perfectly cooked and juicy. I love their fried mushrooms. Nice variety of food on the menu. Catfish is good too. read more
