I got my butt kicked in the best way possible. Manny was the instructor on my very first class And was super welcoming and motivating, checked in on me through out the work out. I've been working out at the Cakery for a year and a half and I have not only seen my body change, but my energy levels and strength increase. I will be 45 next month and I think I can give most 25 year olds a run for their money ;). At my age, it is very important to work out with proper form and to prevent injury - Mar and Barry support me in this way. That doesn't mean they go easy on me - they make sure I have the proper guidance while still being challenged. I have dropped my body fat percentage (31% to 20% at my peak), but more importantly, my muscle mass has also increased which will provide bone support as I age. Horrible experience there was no customer service. This was my first time at this place. Didn't feel welcomed. They didn't explain the infrared sauna and what to expect. It was just in a random room. They set an extra 5 mins on the timer and came and knocked the door at exactly 30 mins saying that the next client is there. I still had 10 mins on the timer they set. I didn't feel comfortable I've been to other infrared sauna before none of them are at 100° lucky for the lady after me it finally reached 130°. I will be calling the owner and requesting for a refund. read more

Venturing into the "Cakery Infusions" based on a friend's recommendation turned out to be the best decision I've made since attempting to master the art of adulting. Sahar, the co-owner, greeted me like a long-lost husband, which instantly made me question why I hadn't visited sooner. The infusion step workout on the stairmasters was like a dance party with a side of fitness, led by an instructor who somehow made sweating look cool. I was motivated enough to climb those stairs like I was auditioning for an action movie - a plot twist in my usually drama-free life. After conquering the stairway to glory, I embraced my inner superhero in the infrared sauna. The concept of this place sounds so awesome and it is but I had a awful experience. I even tried to speak with one of the owners after the incident but I was ignored. I had issues with the shower there. I used one of the pods and used the luxury shirt services and it was the most DISGUSTING experience ever!! The shower starts the flood and the I hear the toilet gurgle... a weird chunky substance starts to come from the drain. It was so disgusting. I told the front office about this and they had apologized.... And that was it. I ended up asking for the manager/ owner Sahara and she was very nice. She wanted to correct the issue and with such telling me they have another partner for the pods. I asked for a refund (as I didn't want to pay for services that I couldn't experience) and she said she would reach out to her. Weeks go by... I was on vacation and have been patient through the whole thing. Reached out again getting slow responses with the owner apologizing saying she was at a funeral. In feeling bad with her loss I decided just to speak to front office to deal with this Pod issue. The owner of the Pods did not care about my experience. I was getting partial refund not apologizing etc. I had been patient waiting for a month so I just said I was going to contact OSHA. Like this was ridiculous! What if I got a infection from who knows what was coming back up in the shower! The building seems old so I can see this happening again. I write the review to implore better customer service from ALL partners and employees and to warn customers to watch out if using the shower. I hope it's all fixed by now because I truly mean it that this place has great potential to be awesome. read more

This class just doesn't get easier! I take a variety of different fitness classes at different places throughout the week, and Barry's Step Fusion class is the one that burns like a mofo!! He is full of high-powered, positive energy and you can tell he's having a great time while training us. He always helps us correct our form, and reminds us of which muscles should be engaging and feeling the burn. Such a unique and effective workout. Their equipment and facilities are top notch. It sounds like they offer dozens of things to the average Beverley Housewife, at what you'd imagine one of those housewives might be willing to pay. It is a good concept, but the lack of joy du vivre, music, and activity really soured the soup. I've used almost all of the services they offer - my favorite is probably the infrared sauna pod. I normally do not like confined or hot spaces but this has guided meditation and aromatherapy that helped keep me calm while getting all the benefits of the pod. B Society blow outs are some of my fav and I love that there's an alternative (with stylists I TRUST!) to the LG location for when I cant get in with my main stylist there. If I could give infusions more than 5 stars, I absolutely would! I love the idea of a stair master class, because it's challenging and so different from other cardio based group classes (Barry's, Orange Theory, etc). Each instructor has a different approach/style and the workouts are varied, so it's never boring. For example, some classes you'll use more of the punching bag, other times you'll be on the stair master or have more ab based workouts. I guarantee every single time you'll get an amazing workout and want to come back for more. After taking classes for only a few weeks I noticed a huge improvement in my overall endurance. Each class and instructor is different which makes it easy to stay motivated, have fun and see results. Mar's Monday full body hiit classes are always killer but there's definitely a method to his madness and you're likely to laugh through the pain with the humor he brings. Barry's booty burn classes are great for glute isolation, slow and controlled movement which will have your legs, ass l, and abs on fire!
