Great sports bar to watch a game, or three, and have a nice drink. I didn't try any food, and from what I have read, that's a good idea. But otherwise, we had a great time at the bar. The staff is wonderful, personable, and take their time to make sure you're drinking something you'll actually enjoy. And there were TVs everywhere to watch any sports we wanted. I think it was a pretty great joint for a chill sports night out!!

It's all about the beer. This is front and center on tap.

Was given a recommendation to come here and it was absolutely a perfect spot for some Punxutawny Philsner and some decent bar foods. The cold draft beer does taste better in a glass vs the plastic cups. So be nice to the bartender and he'll round one up. There were many other beers on tap l; but being a 2 days before Groundhog Day, we stuck to the good stuff. The locals seem to know this place was the place to be. There were couples enroute to a ball, the locals and town officials all in one place. The bar is clean and well lit. The seats were comfy at the bar. Women should like the hangers underneath to hand the purses. The dudes will like the pool table and dart boards. There was plenty of tables and more in the back. Great place.

The co-handler of Punxsutawney Phil is the co-owner. Cool!

I was looking for a place with a hearty vegan option half-way between Toledo and New York City…read morewithout going too far off the highway and it seemed like Station 101 would fit the bill- a Black Bean Burger made in house, some tasty nacho options, and I even called ahead to confirm we could get a hearty vegan option, and confirmed it was! Yay! Unfortunately, when we arrived, the last Bean Burger had been sold and the black beans listed as a side were actually cooked in some heavy butter... so it became one of those stops where only French fries were the hot vegan option... because who wants a cold salad when it's 20°F?! In any case, the server was very nice about it and the Craft Beer was still vegan, and because we called ahead about the vegan burger option, they even comped the fries for running out. So- disappointed it wasn't as hearty as we hoped for a vegan on our arrival- but very kind to apologize with comped fries. For those who weren't vegan- the French Dip on ciabatta was on special and sooooo good. I don't like horseradish and it didn't overwhelm the flavor, so it was absolutely perfect! The pulled pork melt with crispy fried onions and bbq sauce was also excellent with a very crunchy buttered thick Texas toast bread. Excellent food when it's available- and hoping for a few more vegan options because Pennsylvania towns are a bit of slim pickings if you don't want to eat animal products!

We stopped at Denny's Beer Barrel Pub on our way home last night and they did not disappoint!…read more They're known for their world record burgers and many of them sounded really good. But I was intrigued by the burnt turkey ends with maple waffle fries and maple turkey gravy and cheese curds I also ordered a bowl of chili and lemme tell ya - it was some of the best chili I've ever had! Now, the turkey ends... Wow, that plate was DELICIOUS I don't know how they make maple waffle fries, but they need to become a thing. The maple turkey gravy was rich and salty and sweet. The cheese curds were creamy and melty and added texture and flavor. I'm blaming it on the 16oz of beer and the bowl of amazing chili... But I tapped out halfway through haha! One of the most interesting and tasty meals I've had in a long time. I'm going to see how they heat up in the air fryer, for breakfast. Should you find yourself on I-80 in western PA, definitely plan to stop at Denny's Beer Barrel... But you better be ready to eat!

We came to try the 2 pounder challenge (2 lbs AFTER cooking plus the toppings and bun), which I demolished in 30 min or so (you get an hour and if you finish you get a shirt, your name and finish time on a plaque in their Hall of Fame, and 50% off the burger itself). The burger itself was quite solid - juicy and tender without any seasoning so you can add your toppings. Be sure to grab a side of the fries (I prefer the crinkle-cut sweet potato), a milkshake or beer, and maybe a taco. It's no frills but a nice lowkey option that has a blend of visitors and locals.

It's a good portion too, I did not plan on finishing it but couldn't help myself.. so delicious. BBQ Pulled Pork Bacon & pretzel melt. It was slightly over cooked past Med to well done. But other than that. It was yummy.
