Billy burger

So I have never been to this town and was here on a work trip and needed to find a place to eat on a Tuesday night. However almost ALL places are closed on Tuesday it was wild. This bar was open and I was excited cause I love a food dive experience! Walked in and it's like a book as the outside does not do Justice for how welcoming and cozy the inside is. I got the burger and some draft beer and enjoyed my time while I was there! Only bummer is it closes at 8:30pm on Tuesday's, so don't expect to close the bar down! But they do open back up at 6:30am the next day.

The place is like every other bar around. They serve the regular bar foods. Everything we ate was good. The onion rings were fantastic.

Live music, good wings, fun atmosphere. I liked the games and things they had to do as well as the friendly staff.

The Hitching Post has the best wings in the world! Tons of character. Open 24/7-365. That alone gives the Post superstar status.

It's bar food what else can I say. Deep fried everything that goes well with drinking beer. Other than that it's just ok.

Dive bar with great food. Friendly staff, pool and air hockey tables, and good drinks. One of the few cool places to go in Dubois.

I was looking for a place with a hearty vegan option half-way between Toledo and New York City…read morewithout going too far off the highway and it seemed like Station 101 would fit the bill- a Black Bean Burger made in house, some tasty nacho options, and I even called ahead to confirm we could get a hearty vegan option, and confirmed it was! Yay! Unfortunately, when we arrived, the last Bean Burger had been sold and the black beans listed as a side were actually cooked in some heavy butter... so it became one of those stops where only French fries were the hot vegan option... because who wants a cold salad when it's 20°F?! In any case, the server was very nice about it and the Craft Beer was still vegan, and because we called ahead about the vegan burger option, they even comped the fries for running out. So- disappointed it wasn't as hearty as we hoped for a vegan on our arrival- but very kind to apologize with comped fries. For those who weren't vegan- the French Dip on ciabatta was on special and sooooo good. I don't like horseradish and it didn't overwhelm the flavor, so it was absolutely perfect! The pulled pork melt with crispy fried onions and bbq sauce was also excellent with a very crunchy buttered thick Texas toast bread. Excellent food when it's available- and hoping for a few more vegan options because Pennsylvania towns are a bit of slim pickings if you don't want to eat animal products!

This is not a one person meal, they are very large. I sat at the bar and the bartender was very prompt and personable. I also enjoyed the beer selection they had, not only on tap, but in bottles and cans. Inside the restaurant was clean and looked nice.

I was told it's a great place to eat if your in the area. Its located in one of the busiest parts of Elk Country, near Benezette PA. During leaf peeping time-this place was crazy busy but we took our chances. Being very loud... I pointed to the item on the menu, simple chicken tenders and a side salad. She asked what dressing I would like ect. I got 4 chicken nuggets and no salad. She said it would take a while for a side salad, and charged for the side of ranch dressing? My sister, another simple order, chicken tender dinner that came w fries. she asked to upgrade the fries to add chili, waitress say ok. She got her chili on a separate side of fries which she was charged for Next, a bowl of chili- he got a bowl of cream of Broccoli- The only thing that came out right was a cheeseburger! I swear no one is trained right And I'm not sorry for saying this, but if you know that it's the busiest weekend at the end of summer, GET SOME REAL HELP! PAY ATTENTION TO WHAT PEOPLE ARE ORDERING! Besides the gripe, they said the food was good but the service was terrible, at the bar at least.

I've already had plans with a client but I didn't want to bail on a teammate who traveled over 3k miles for a joint meeting that morning. I changed my plans with my client and invited him to Al's for lunch. The menu was pretty extensive and pages to flip thru. Problem with this is the kitchen is not a restaurant size kitchen and to be able of offer so many options there mush be limitations with what the kitchen staff and put out. They are known for their pizzas and meatballs I just played it safe and ordered a mushroom Swiss burger. It was good but I think the mushroom Swiss burger from chili's is better. The tavern was buzzing with locals for lunch so it's considered a popular watering and a solid spot for some pub grub

Located in Altoona, it was a decent size bar/restaurant with great service, good bar vibes and lots of draft beer! We ordered the hot garlic wings and the baked Italian = both beyond excellent! The baked Italian came and almost looked like a salad at first! There was a lot of extra lettuce but it was easy to eat with a crispy baked hoagie bun filled with delicious toppings.
