    Side Caeser

The food here is good. Good amount of parking in their private lot. A host/ess seats you with menus, flatware wrapped in cloth napkins and if you like, a wine & beer list. Cocktail specials list is at the table. The restaurant has a very laid back, comfortable vibe. The carpeting in the dining area is showing some age but really helps keep the sound down. There are two window walls, one over looking a covered outdoor seating area. The lamb lollipops were quite tasty as were the onion strings they are served on. The side of gravy was heavy tasting. For me it didn't pair well and wasn't needed but I know some people really like gravy with their meat. Lamb Lollipop are listed under the appetizers. I paired them with a side Caeser salad which was fresh and crisp. The dressing is very mild, not as peppery as some I've had and I enjoyed this version. The reuben sandwich comes in a half portion or full sandwich. The full sandwich is a lot of food and a half would have been enough. It comes with hand cut fries or substitute any of the other sides. This side salad was fresh and the blue cheese dressing nice and chunky. The reuben was recommended as good, the waitress also said it was good and my dining companion agrees. Our server was excellent. Kept our waters full, checked in a few times and suggested dessert. We would gladly return next time in DuBoise, PA.

Comfort food right off Route 80 The restaurant offers reasonable options in a comfortable room. This is a very good option if you want to take a break while driving through on Route 80 or if you're staying in the Fairfield Inn next door.

Great place to stop for a bite to eat right off the highway. The Rueben had a very generous portion of meat! The food came out so quick and our waitress was such a sweetie!

Delicious food, generous portions, friendly staff and they have Guinness on tap! We ordered all appetizers to share.

Was pretty impressed with this place. I'm from Jersey where good food is in abundance. I stayed in Du Bois for a weekend for my grandfathers funeral up in Punxsutawney and was dead set on not eating anything for the weekend. Ended up stopping here around nine at night after a long day. The food was delicious. We shared a HUGE platter of nachos. I got a ribeye. It was cooked exactly how I asked a fraction of the price of what I'd spend in Jersey. Dessert was great too. Highly recommend.

Second stop here at the bar. Had a Woodchuck Cider with a Ribeye steak with beans and rice plus stuff pepper soup. Great service and ambience as always!

    Chicken tenders with fries

Went to the place a few times for my two week stay in PA for work. Right next to my hotel. Food was hot and fresh. The fries are really good! The service was friendly each time. Does get busier in the evenings

Modern industrial design with a nice deck and is very convenient to the interstate. We dropped in for dinner. I ordered the Paloma cocktail. It was very tasty, and not lacking in alcohol content. My husband ordered the filet and a baked potato. His steak was tender, juicy, and cooked perfectly at medium rare the way he ordered it. I had the Cajun Gumbo which was complete with shrimp, sausage, mussels (surprise!) and was appropriately spicy! We started with a side salad and a cup of beer cheese soup. I hadn't had this kind of soup before. I found it to be tasty and interesting.. great for a chilly evening! We had great service and really enjoy dining here!

Great stop off the 80! Service is amazing. Wait staff is so friendly and attentive... and great with allergy accommodations. They have a good list of local brews, and I had a flight (which gives me a little of everything). I had mostly IPAs. My favorite has to be the "sugar coated pont kisses" - bc of flavor and name of course. I had the chicken club for my meal and substituted regular fries for sweet potatoe. I was not disappointed! The sandwich is juicy and flavorful ... and the sweet potatoe fries are yummy (get a side of the Chipotle mayo). Overall a great stop on my roadtrip! Would recommend! Stay Cheerful

    Pub burger and broccoli

Cute place with great atmosphere and friendly staff! Food came out quick and the pub burger was excellent! Great value for a kids meal--drink, large entree, side and cookie for only $6! Will definitely be back as we travel through PA!

But I was intrigued by the burnt turkey ends with maple waffle fries and maple turkey gravy and cheese curds I also ordered a bowl of chili and lemme tell ya - it was some of the best chili I've ever had! Now, the turkey ends... Wow, that plate was DELICIOUS I don't know how they make maple waffle fries, but they need to become a thing. The maple turkey gravy was rich and salty and sweet. The cheese curds were creamy and melty and added texture and flavor. I'm blaming it on the 16oz of beer and the bowl of amazing chili... But I tapped out halfway through haha! One of the most interesting and tasty meals I've had in a long time. I'm going to see how they heat up in the air fryer, for breakfast. Should you find yourself on I-80 in western PA, definitely plan to stop at Denny's Beer Barrel... But you better be ready to eat!

We came to try the 2 pounder challenge (2 lbs AFTER cooking plus the toppings and bun), which I demolished in 30 min or so (you get an hour and if you finish you get a shirt, your name and finish time on a plaque in their Hall of Fame, and 50% off the burger itself). The burger itself was quite solid - juicy and tender without any seasoning so you can add your toppings. Be sure to grab a side of the fries (I prefer the crinkle-cut sweet potato), a milkshake or beer, and maybe a taco. It's no frills but a nice lowkey option that has a blend of visitors and locals.

The servers were well schooled, taking care and made sure we were satisfied. Great patio area with live music starting at 6:00. Cold weather would limit the overall seating capacity. I am a home-brewer and I couldn't stump her, not that I was trying to. When touring Victory, the guide there didn't know much and I wound up giving most of the tour. Straub is very small in size and operations but all employees we met and observed were very courteous and friendly. The endless taps were a nice touch to experience by letting guests sample from 3 varieties of brew. You were able to have 2 full sized cups, not a 4 ounce taster. In the bar/restaurant there were multiple choices of brews on tap or canned/bottled and a vast selection of mementos for the collectors. We didn't eat there as we had packed a picnic lunch for later, but the food we were smelling was very enticing. We want to return for one of the weekend parties they have in their courtyard. Take the time and visit, I don't think you'll be disappointed.
