This place is really cute. I don't know what it is, but walking in it just feels homey and welcoming. The interior is aged and has almost old wood bar (not the alcoholic sort), and all of the tables are adorned with local advertisements of different services in the area. The main area is sparsely decorated, but there are toy train tracks that go all around the room overhead. The menu is small but easy to read with reasonable prices and a good variety. They have several choices of hamburgers, along with a daily lunch special. The food was so good! I had the jumbo burger with just meat and cheese with Cajun fries. The burger was juicy and flavorful, the fries seasoned perfectly, and the portions were spot-on. My parents shared today's (Wednesday) special, the country-fried steak. They both agreed that it was delicious and easily could have downed the whole plate themselves (if they hadn't shared). My only complaint would be the spacing of the booths (because we sat in one). The distance from the table to both sides of the seating was immense. My son literally fell out of his booster seat while reaching for some food from his plate, which was on the table, because it was so far from the seat. I caught him luckily but it's not a good situation for toddlers. Best to keep them in a high chair if you have a small child with you. Overall, I recommend this place, it's great, has great prices, and is just homey and comforting. Definitely check it out if you're looking for somewhere new and local. read more

Unfortunately, I did not find the burgers here to be good. The burgers were cooked to death- no juice and really, safe to say they were charred. The chili cheese dogs were great and the shakes were really good too. The price was not bad, but for the quality, it seemed too high. I would have given it a better rating based on the other options being good but this place is known for their burgers and advertises as such. When it comes to burgers, they are missing the spot. The staff was very pleasant and it looks like they have a lot of remodeling going on during the quarantine. The parking here is a bit tricky as there is limited parking in front. I would go again, but I would stay away from their burgers, unless you like well done meat- and I am sure that some of you do. read more

I could have sworn I left a review last year when I first tried out The Burger Shack. Apparently I didn't. So it's time to get this written. I love this place. I only get to be in Benton once a year for work, and it is the only place I will eat when I'm there. Everyone is super nice and friendly. The food tastes like what my grandma used to make. It's that great simple home style food that tastes like it was made with love. The burgers are great. The home made potato chips are great. The service is great. The people are great. This place is great! I've had a regular cheeseburger and a double jumbo cheeseburger. Both with the chips. Haven't tried anything else. But I'd trust that all of it was good. Not only was I not forced to wash dishes, but I was given a ride to the gas station, and then back to my friends. Don't think that this extraordinary customer service is tainting my tastebuds though.
