Well the service is excellent. The ambiance is of a country restaurant. Great ac unit inside. The side salad was very good. It was hard to tell from the outside if they were open. The food was very good and the service great. One suggestion is for a better cleaning of the bottom of the windows. read more

Holy.. freakin.. smokes... is the three words I exclaimed as I looked at my toilet in awestruck wonder.. The butterscotch milkshake was better than the first time I kissed my husband.. however, it left a catastrophic and agonizing aroma to my bathroom for a week.. maybe the worst diarrhea I had ever experienced.. but it was WORTH IT!!! Fries taste like tragedy and sadness. Bottom bun with all the lettuce and tomatoes and mayonnaise was falling apart like the building. Service was alright, but the food was lifeless like this town. If you like soggy bread and depressing food this is a jackpot. read more

I stopped at this place while passing through. This town is small and there aren't many options when looking for something to eat on the go. I ordered the cheeseburger/Cajun fries and a medium soft drink to go. I paid almost $13 for what turned out to be a very subpar meal. I've passed this place a million times, but I recently came across a 2017 article in The Arkansas Times that piqued my interest. Yesterday, as I was passing through, I decided to give it a try. My burger was awesome and I absolutely loved the battered onion rings! Portion sizes are very generous, and the staff seem friendly enough. It's nothing fancy, but who needs fancy when you just want something classically GOOD and filling? I'd say it's definitely worth the stop. The meals we had were fair. Certainly not special. While we ate our food, they were cleaning up sewage on the lower part of the dining room that flooded the women's toilet! I really don't know how this place stays in business. read more

So I've seen this place on a few of those "interesting restaurants in Arkansas you need to try" lists on Facebook and today decided we would run out there and try it. I honestly think the odd shape of the building and the fact that it's been around since the 60's is probably the draw. Note: the decor on the inside is from the 60's-80's, but not in the kitsche way. More like in the "Mamaw and Papaw left their stuff on the walls and we just don't wanna take it down" way. We walked in and it wasn't really apparent if we should order at the counter or go sit down. A sign would have been nice. No biggie. The girl at the counter looked at us and immediately said "we only accept cash" without greeting us or anything. We asked if we were supposed to order at the counter or go sit down first and were told "either way"....so we looked at the big menu hanging over the counter and ordered and paid. A few minutes later we got our food so it all worked out. However, we saw a few people walk in and sit down and they were given menus to order...so I guess it really is "either way". The waitress only brought out my plate and looked very confused. She said "did y'all have a hamburger with onion rings?" I said yes and she laid it down and started to walk away. I spoke up and said "we also had another burger and fries" and she looked at me with this weird gaze like I should just assume it's coming and said "yeah, it's not done yet." I mean, it would've been nice for her to mention that instead of me having to assume she only was bringing half my order, but you know...small town, really young waitress, so I just overlooked it. It was just a little awkward. I had a regular hamburger with onion rings and my boyfriend had a jumbo cheeseburger with Cajun fries. The hamburgers had real, hand-patted patties and tasted pretty close to homemade. Not greasy at all. Lettuce and tomato were very fresh, so it was almost like having my mom cook a burger for me. The onion rings and fries were pretty average. After reading the other reviews, I really wish I could visit on a weekday when they have lunch specials. But based on our visit today, the food was a little above average, the atmosohere was pretty nostalgic, and the service was just strange. I still think it's worth a trip read more

Cool old burger joint built in 1964. They have a daily special which I didn't get today that changes everyday(looks like I should have got it) smothered steak, mashed potatoes gravy, green beans, and a roll. It looks very good! Daily lunch special. Really good hamburger and fries ....not greasy at all. No mayonnaise for some reason and a lot of mustard which I did not care for but I would definitely eat here again. Plenty booth seating but the inside leaves a lot to be desired for the condition of the place. Came to this unique restaurant after hearing about it from my mom! This place was recommended in the "only in Arkansas" magazine and has been around since 1964 so it was time for a visit! We split the burger, footlong chili dog, and we added the Cajun fries! The burger patty tasted like it was handmade and definitely not a pre made patty. The chili tasted homemade as well! Don't let its dilapidated appearance fool you this place has some really good food. Opened in 1964-1965 and still to this day owned by the same person. as noted in other reveiws the burgers are awesome and all of the daily specials are very good as well. Just keep in mind that they do not accept credit cards or any other "plastic". this is a good old fashioned cash only establishment! 100% will go here again if im in the area. side note its 5 min away from White Bluff Power Plant so going there for lunch is a breeze. read more
